When I first moved to Mesquite in Dec. 2012 I believed this school was the perfect school for my son. Until I started doing random walk ins to see why my son all of a sudden didnt want to go into his classroom anymore. I noticed his assistant teacher shoving a child into the bathroom just because the child wouldnt stop crying, stating that it was her cousin and she will be alright. It does not matter if a child attending a school was your child, that is child abuse. I discussed this with Mrs. Patterson nothing was done about it. Then the following week I walked in all of the children were eating snack (a plate of CHEETOS very unhealthy) except my son. I asked why my child didnt have snack the assistant teacher rolled her eyes at me and went to the back of the classroom. I believe she had an attitude because she was being investigated because my son told me she pinched and, twisted his ear. And I reported her to childcare licensing. Some teachers at this facility are actually here to teach and you can see their love and passion for teaching. Others are there for a paycheck, just be careful with any school.. Random school visits is what I prefer, because trust me the teachers, staff etc. know what time to behave. I taught at a child development center for 3 years the things Ive seen from teachers in the same facility makes me extremely nervous for my own babies...

CP Preparatory School is one of the most outstanding Private Schools in Mesquite, TX as well as economically affordable. Before coming to CP Prep, I went on an extensive web search to find the best possible school for my child. While we are new to the State of Texas and coming from a great and diverse state such as Washington, it is important for me to find the best possible educational institute for my daughter.Although my daughter have attended this school for a short time, I have found that the teachers and Principal are very attentive and knowledgeable in achieving the best academies and curriculum for her. I am very content, and grateful with the education that my daughter is getting at this wonderful and growing establishment.I speak for my Husband and myself by saying, thank you to the Owner and Staff at CP Prep for helping us make our child to be the well rounded student, person and future educator she can possibly be. I would recommend this educational institution to anyone who have the desire to give their child the best education imaginable.

CP Prep is a Great family oriented school. Both of my kids have gone to CP Prep. All the teachers are like family, everyone knows each other regardless of what class they teach. My daughter loves going to school, and even calls the Admin Secretary miss Mimi. My son switched over to public school last year is far beyond his peers academically.

Great place for kids. My daughter just loves it there. Great teachers as well.

CP Preparatory School has been in business since 1997. CP Prep School is a state accredited, Texas School Ready program. Every day is an academic day at CP Prep School. Every classroom has a curriculum withy set objectives and activities. Assessments start as soon as your child is enrolled at school with portfolio assessments done weekly. CLI engage testing starts at age 3 monitoring your childs academic growth and progress. I have a dedicated and excellent staff that not only take care of your child but provide an academic environment. CP Prep School is in the process of school renovations to make next year the best that it can be from the environment to the academics. As mandated by the state we are on a month pest control service and have been since the start of the school. The building is being freshly painted, and new things installed and while the building is empty we are taking the necessary precautions of additional maintenance in the AC, pest control and other little things that have been used over that 13 years since the building has been there. I wouldnt recommend this school until they get organize and hire new staff. I have never witness any child being physically hit but I have witness multiple of times kids being scream at.Some of there staff workers dont have patient with kids. I dont like the fact that the owner isnt organize. She would always say that I never paid or was behind. I tried to pay her and she mention in front of another parent was I paying for last month and not the current month the payment was due. I believe things like that should be address in the privacy of there office. It should never be attach to a two year old backpack neither should it be address in front of another child parent.

CP prep has made a difference in my child. My child has been coming to CP Prep for 3 years and It has been great. Fun activities at school and lots of activities with the city of Mesquite. That makes a difference.

My grand baby goes to this daycare / school (not mothers choice) her dad put enrolled her claiming it was a 5 star school. NOT. My daughter, my son and myself went to see her today for a Valentines event. My daughter the mom contacted the school before hand. We arrived and they would not let us see her because the dad said we could not visit. It took the Mesqute finest Police official to come to the school to tell the owner and assistance director that, this mother has the right to come see her per child court order. Thanks Mesqute Police Department. The dad lies about the orders and they believed him with the orders on file at the school all they had to do was read the order. I took off work and still didnt see my grandbaby. How could one have their child in a daycare / school that doesnt follow a legal document. Something is not right here

My kid went to this school for 6 years and left at a six grade reading level. High standards and high level of academics. HIGHLY RECOMMMEND!

Money hungry school. The kids get chips, cookies, and juice daily. Kids who are bad stick around and all others kids in the class have to deal with the teachers frustration. The young toddlers are put in front of TV nearly every day and that shouldnt be happening in a school. I pulled my kids out and the nap mats were all torn up. Things like this arent even meeting standards. This place is just a waste of time.

My son attended this school for his 2nd grade year and my son learned more at the public school then at this school. Each time I dropped in on him they were not learning nothing. When I asked him what he did today at school he said play and color. He was in the second grade for God shakes! Why he wasnt learning anything I dont know. They then told me I had to pay for lunch. I paid this school 600 a month and you mean to tell me he cant get free lunch! I had to send him to school with lunch everyday so when it came time for the school year to end I didnt make my last payment and his 3rd grade year he returned back to MISD. I regret removing him from MISD and thinking a private education was going to be better not always true. My son is now in the 4th grade and is on a 6th grade reafing level and MISD fought him that not this school. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY MORE THAN YOUR CHILDS EDUCATION. They are very convincing that your child will get the best education and no they are not a 5 star school

I visited the school recently and was very impressed by the professionalism of the teaching staff and the quality of the curriculum. I would highly recommend CP Preparatory School.

CP Prep has been in business 15 years. I have noticed my child is exceeding in academics greatly throughout the past 4 years. I always feel safe and welcomed everytime I go in the school

A MUST READ!!!!! Im a mother of two toddler boys and i constantly worry about their well being ... on 11/9 after already dropping them off at 7am something told me to come check on my oldest son 2 hours later, which im glad i did because i witness fist hand verbal abuse and unnecessary roughness from Miss Erin. Even tho it wasnt towards my child, whose to says that it hasnt happened to him before. When I confront Mrs Patterson (head director) about my concerns she did say that her school doesnt tolerate any form of mistreatment from her staff but then she proceeds to talk about the schools curriculum. in my eyes that doesnt show much concern because every time i said anything about the safety of my children she would CUT ME OFF to apply the schools curriculum to the situation. I mean yes the curriculum is important to us but THEIR SAFETY IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT. I only wish i knew the childs mother to inform her of what i saw because i doubt they will giver her full details OR WONT TELL HER AT ALL! if you know someone who attends Miss Erins class and has an African american boy with a low hair cut please inform them of what youve read.. With all that said my husband and I permanently took our boys out the same day of the incident . I would not recommend this school to anyone and its very unfortunate how they handled the situation. Used to work here till I was fired today, the owner literally brought me my things outside after my lunch break Very unprofessional. I was a teacher assistant to Ms. Mia who seemed like a great teacher untill she realized I did not want to engage in conversations about the other staff and her own person life. She has been telling me bad things about the staff and the owner and that she is basically set for life and does not need to work there. She got an attitude today after I did not sweep the floor, she never had asked me to sweep the floor after lunch so it was new to me and I did not understand what her frustration was about. I had to use the restroom and I assumed she thought I was mad which is not the case. I TOLD HER LAST WEEK I WAS THERE FOR THE CHILDREN NOT TO MAKE FRIENDS AND SHE TOOK OFFENSE LIKE ARE YOUR REFERENCING ME?? I was seeing as though she is leaving in 30 days and has not done a good job of telling me the right things to do but today she cost me my job so I will state that THEY DO NOT SANITATIZE AND OF THE TOYS AND THE CHILDREN ARE DRULING AND SUCKING ON THEM WHICH IS DISGUSTING. I even try to clean the childrens noses as much as possible and shes like no I just let them run untill we go back inside: If one teacher keeps having multiple assistants you have to question that teacher who has so much say so in the whole daycare that she should run the place. Have a Blessed Day I left out and did not cause any confusion because I know my purpose and GOD has something better in store also she said that me and her were the only educated people in the building and that getting a CDA IS LIKE GETTING A CNA LICENSE LOL IM EDUCATED SO SHE BASICALLY TRASHED HER ENTIRE STAFF. -_God Day. TODAY I PICKED UP MY LAST CHECK AND MS.MIA HAD THE NERVE TO COME TELL ME THAT I HAVE A MINSTERMEANOR and that its going to show up for my jobs. That was 5 years ago and is in the past for the staff to be discussing me and my character after I left a review on Friday just shows how unprofessional they are they talk about the parents and the students its really sad to know a daycare center that is filled with different children from different backgrounds and are being judged on the daily.

I posted the below information 4 years ago. My daughter is still traumatized by the physical abuse by Mrs. Patterson. She opened up to me and told me more about the abuse caused my Ms. Patterson when my daughter who is now 11 years (old enough to tell me exactly what happened) she recently told me she remembers Mrs. Paterson pushing her up against the wall, holding her up by her neck as her feet dangled off the ground. I’m so upset that my daughter didn’t tell me this 4 years ago when it happened. I hope this lady isn’t secretly abusing and bullying these kids still today. Please don’t take your children here, whatever it takes to prevent this lady abusing more kids. If your child attends the school please do random walk-ins. Cameras, etc.TERRIBLE SCHOOL, I would never recommend this school for anyone. The owner ONLY cares about money. My child was mistreated by students and Ms. Patterson pushed her up against the wall. The owner wont do anything about kids bullying. If you care about your children please do not take them to this school. Also theres a different teacher every year. Ive never rated a school with a bad review up until now.

I have very disappointed with CP Preparatory School. My granddaughters often cry when being dropped off. Also, every time that I have personally picked up the girls from school my youngest always has a dirty diaper and tells me first thing when she sees me arrive. Then I have to deal with clearing up a case of diaper rash. UNACCEPTABLE.
