They sell things over 99¢ now. Whats even the point of the name anymore. Other than that, pretty useful for cheap quick purchases

Boy 99 sure aint 99 anymore. Since it was sold to new owners you dont get the deals like we used to go there for. We find ourselves mostly going to Dollar tree. I mean there was a thing of Tillamook cheese for $6.99 that expired in 10 days? I mean give me a break. No thank you. It was nice while it lasted. Like everything else, its all about the money now.

Disappointed with how the manager handled my situation. My glass plant pot broke inside the store and when I asked if I could switch it, manager said no. The prices of the items are deceiving too so be careful when buying.

My wife and I like to shop at the 99 Cents only store we like go to this 99 cent store in Maywood. They the things we need for the house and personal use and also they have name brand items.

Got some snacks before a road trip. Went around 2pm on a Saturday and it was busy. However the line moved fast.

They have a little bit of everything the workers there are very helpful only downside was that alot of the produce is already going bad but overall pretty good stocked up store with customer service on point

I like very much this store because I always find what I am looking for from pencil to pots for my garden and the Thursdays flower shopping day is my favorite over all.

I prefer shopping in the Maywood 99 cents store. Not only do they have a good variety of products on every isle but their customer service is way better than the store in Downey. The manager let exchange a product way past their return policy of nine days. I explained to him the reason I couldnt go sooner to do my exchange and he behaved like a kind and professional manager. The lady that waters their little plants was kind and even explained to me how to take care of a little plant I bought there today.

Neatly stocked store. Verry clean always has workers cleaning and restocking shelves. Could have a better access to restroom instead of actually crossing the stock room.

Being coming here for years..and they always have something new...I never get bored of coming here..always clean..staff is super friendly.... I have no complains at all.

Personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, pet food, decorations, all 99 cents.Of course if you want to go get a case of beer or a name brand large box of cereal, it’s not going to be 99 cents. But it’s still going to be cheaper than what you would pay at a retail store.Thank you for providing these cheaper opportunities.

I love this 99 cent store always very clean stocked and Saturday’s are always the good days to go find all there new merchandise. They have some awesome things I can’t find in any other 99 cent store. I always spend over 30 dollars here and I get my money’s worth!!!

They have a variety for every holiday and party supplies. Theyve also been bringing in new branded product that goes out fast for a great price. Customer service is great and its very organized.

Past review update: I would like to congratulate the owner, manager, and all staff from this store. I had lost hope and believed that its better days were over. And boy, did they wake me up! This store pulled off a 180... Its clean, well stocked, and is doing so much better.Pros:1. Most of the staff is friendly, professional and respectful2. Cleanliness of store3. Well stocked with the items that the average home needs.4. More than plenty CSRs to keep running everything running smooth, eg. Now, before a cashier becomes overwhelmed with customers, another cashier is called to open another register5. Staff is mostly young, energized and always seems to be in the best of moods.Cons:Theres still a couple of people that either dont want to be here or shouldnt be here. Im sure management will root these bad elements out or put them through a customer service refresher course.Hope this store continues to advance in this direction. As of 11/27/2018 this store is once again my personal favorite. Thank you

Parking can be difficult to find during busy times since they share a parking lot with Craft Depot and DDs. The store always has a good selection of items, unfortunately not everything is as low as a dollar anymore, I have seen a few toys that were priced around $10. This store has a good selection of decorations, snacks, and even alcohol. If you purchase cold foods make sure you glance at the expiration date, I have accidentally bought expired food on multiple occasions.

Rosa the cashier was rude and seemed offended simply because I asked do you guys help with bagging? I didnt want to be inconsiderate and just hand her my tote bags (which were 99 cent only bags btw) she ignored my question and continued to scan my groceries. She seemed like she didnt want to help. Produce selection was going rotten and didnt have much. The only good customer service I experienced was a gentleman outside with glasses and long hair who helped me put my bags in the car. Other than that the cashiers need to look for a more fulfilling job if they dont like being asked questions. You can always get another job and let other people with actual good customer service have a chance at your position. Rosa catch me in the parking lot.

Great items. Great price but it smells in the food isles and not a pleasant smell. Take old man scalp and mix it with amrmpit and you get what the aisles smell like. It would be a bit more bearable if it werent in the food isles but the smell is off putting and makes you lose your appetite so you end up leaving the aisles. I did mention good items but in the mix are those that you dont want to give a second chance because if the way they look. For some reason they thought it would be a good idea to mix the name brands with a wrinkled package of who knows what.

This is one of the best 99 cents only stores you can go to! Great deals and great employees. What more could you want?

Its was nice have a lot of different items

The shelfs are fully stocked and has a lot of seasonal items that are very cute. The aisles are nice and clean and the lines are not as long as other 99 cents store than Ive been too plus there is a public restroom. Only reason why I dont give it 5 stars is because the parking lot is always full scattered carts everywhere I suggest when there is no long lines have the cashiers go gather the carts or sales associate. As well as better customer service from employees that are on the sales floor but other than that its one of the best 99 cent store I been too due to their instock.

My family and i love coming here, their quality is just going up and up. I guess sometimes they dont really care much for their live stock. The plants that wilt, they just end up throwing them in the dumpster, my mom noticed this once, and took them home, and now they look so beautiful in our garden

The store is usually nicely stocked. However the customer service is not consistent. Often only one register is open and the line is long. I think this causes the cashiers many times to be irrate and it shows in their lack of customer service.

I really enjoying shopping at this store. They have so many things. Every time I go I find something new. But I have a big problem. Most of the employees are very nice people. There is this one lady in particular, shes African American (Im not saying this as a racial thing) but just so that some of you know or maybe have had this experience with her. She has such an ugly, nasty, and very unprofessional attitude. She never greets people, she even tossed my items after she bagged them. She tossed my receipt on floor. If that bothers her, I do not have any issue packing my own things because I dont want them being thrown at me after I am the one paying for the items. Ive worked in customer service for so long I have even worked at a 99 cent store and this was not acceptable at my job or any job. This lady has issues or something but whatever it is she needs to leave that at home. Or if she simple doesnt want to have as much contact with people then simply move to the floor. She wont have to be greeting people there (not like she does it anyway).

This has happened so many times that I plan to avoid shopping here from now on. The cashiers either charge me twice for something I only have one of or charge me something n not put it in my bag. If I purchase a reusable bag then they pack my stuff if I take my own back the just charge me n push my stuff forward. Thus last time they over charged me $4 Im tired of it.

Used to work here. My how things have changed. You can find anything here, thats the good thing. The bad thing is the people working there look very unhappy.

Bad customer service coming from the manager. I was there earlier trying to pay my food items with my EBT card (food stamps) and the cashier ended up charging me all in cash. I had already swiped my card and it showed waiting on cashier on the screen. The manager came and right away had a bad attitude. She said it was my fault and that she couldnt return me my cash, only back on a gift card. Both her and the cashier kept going back and forth at me. I explained i had already swiped my card and it was the cashier who did not follow thru. Instead of appologizing she was rude and did not even try and help. Bad management skills.

Is a very good place you may even find organic vegetables at a very affordable price.
