Staff was friendly. A bit too much into socializing with each other, but mostly friendly. Im sure its just the environment. The class itself was fantastic. Good length of time (the usual for a dance class I believe), affordable pricing. Solid. Well try out some of their other dance classes to see if theyre just as good as the rest soon!

I moved to Las Vegas last year. My daughter was attending Elevate Dance Studio in Rancho Cucamonga, California since she was 3 years old. I’m a single full time father whom is very supportive of his daughter. However adapting to the activities of girl can at times be challenging. Elevate especially the instructor Ms. Ashley made being a “Dance Dad” very welcoming and comfortable they were AWESOME.Upon relocating to Las Vegas I tried searching for the “best” dance studio I could find. I came across Summerlin Dance Academy and thought I’d give it a try. The studio was nice, big, and spacious. The fees were fairly priced. The associates and/or instructors seemed like good/nice people. My problem here was my daughter went the entire year to Mr. Paul’s Hip Hop dance class. My daughter Kali is a very enthusiastic and should I add great dancer for her age. She attended and participated in her Saturday class Faithfully. I paid her monthly tuition faithfully and was hoping that she would eventually join their dance team. At the end of the session the studio had a recital in which is the recital that the dancers practices for months and months in advance. The day of the recital my daughter along with another dancer showed up late due to being misinformed of the correct time to be there. Kalis team had already performed when we arrived. Let me add that no one attempted to call us the day of the recital to inform us that they were about to perform or anything. The worst thing a parent can ever go through is watching their child cry out of hurt for not being able to complete a task in which they worked extremely hard for. My daughter was heartbroken and so was I. The other parents and child was also angry. The studio did try to get all the other dancers back to the recital to perform again which of course failed. Some of the dancers came back and they allowed them to perform on stage a somewhat freestyle dance not the dance I’m which they choreographed because it couldn’t be done without all of the teammates. Nothing could ever fix the tears, and disappointment my daughter felt that day but I feel more should have been done to accommodate us for the negligence of the studio/dance instructor of making sure every student/parent had the right times for when their child will perform. I felt as if I along we the other family should have received some type of compensation for the inconvenience but we did not and I felt as if the studio didn’t care. My daughter works really hard and loves dance to this very day. I hope no other family has to ever go through what we went through that day. I hope this studio comes up with a plan to keep its customers/parents and dancers happy so that it will reach its highest potential. This happened about 6 months ago and I’m just writing this due to the fact it’s something that I’ll probably never forget and probably neither will my daughter. Happy New Years.

I found the studio to be somewhat uninviting/unprofessional. My child was trying a class for the first time and nobody at the front desk helped us, as they were socializing with each other instead (and they saw us standing in line for a LONG time. We also had to find the correct classroom on our own.). Very little true discipline in the class - one child was allowed to run all over the room, including doing cart wheels, etc. The instructor seemed to know her stuff though, so we liked that. The place could use a makeover too - very drab. Sorry, but it wasnt at all what weve been used to.
