My daughters really enjoy all of their classes at Angela Floyd. They have had several different instructors for tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and acrobatics over the past couple of years and all have been top notch. In my experience, the other parents and staff members have been friendly and helpful as well, making it a pleasant atmosphere. They are very responsive and easy to reach for answers to questions.

We are so happy to be part of the Angela Floyd Family! Our daughter attends the performing arts preschool program and we are thrilled with it. Ms. Karen and Mr. Alex are wonderful teachers and we cannot believe how much she learns not only in dance and music but academically as well. We are beyond impressed with how they have handled the COVID situation. They presented virtual options so quickly and it was nice to have a bit of normalcy in our routine and continue with classes online. Our daughter has taken all of the summer camps and we felt super safe with the safeguards they had in place and she was thrilled to be back in the studio. I danced when I was younger and have always wanted to take a class again but didnt want to be with younger kids. I was so excited when I found out they have an adult ballet class. I love my night out with women my age enjoying the art of dance. This year I have added the adult jazz class and am very excited about it! If you are looking for a home studio for yourself or your child look no further!

My daughter started dance classes at Angela Floyd when she was 3 years old. It’s 8 years later and she could not imagine life without this studio! The staff and instructors are the best around and the friendships she has made are priceless. The learning environment at AFS has really fostered her love of dance and given her confidence outside the studio. And they have navigated what 2020 has thrown at them without missing a beat. My daughter has been dancing with Angela Floyd for the past 9 years. We have been pleased with her progress and dance knowledge she has learned over the past 9 years. Most recently, I have been very impressed with how they have handled the pandemic and the precautions they have taken to not impact the students learning and still allowed them to have a spring concert in the summer.We are very happy with Angela Floyd and the level of professionalism of their teachers and staff while still keeping if fun for the students.

Outstanding music, art, and dance school. The teachers are great and especially all the staff. It is the best thing that happened to our family and our daughter Tamara. Tamara is enjoying her music piano class.. She worked with different instructors since she was 6 y/o and she got along with them very easily. She learned different techniques almost every week and she had become very good at playing piano as well as academically. She is an A student, thanks to music, piano, and Angela Floyd.

My daughter Lily has been dancing with AFS for 7 years now and loves every minute. The dance teachers are amazing and really help her improve her dance skills. Miss Angel offers the best Dance School anywhere around....we love our AFS family!

Even despite the onset of huge changes brought by the unforeseen challenges in 2020, AFS consistently strived to provide structure, alternative teaching methods, and lots of fun for our kids. AFS is an outstanding school and once again proved this with their dedication to giving our children the gifts of dance and music while making it all easy for the parents. The spring recitals were a success! We are so blessed to have AFS and the remarkable staff and teachers!

One goal I had for my son Atticus was to find him a music class. We tried to two other music programs before finding the Angela Floyd School. I wanted a class that was technical even though my child was just 2 years old. I started to think my expectations were too high. Then Atticus tried his first music class at the Angela Floyd School. When he came out of class he was smiling and showed me what he had learned during that class.Next his teacher, Ms. Sydney explained what they worked on in class and homework we could work on until the class. Ms. Sydney is a great teacher and is very patience with her students. You can tell she has a great passion for music and teaching others.The school has dates on the schedule where parents can observe the last ten minutes of their child’s class. I was blown away at the things he knew in addition to what we worked with him on at home. We love this school and look forward to our daughter Everest joining when she turns two.

We have been at Angela Floyd Dance for 7 years, since my daughter was 2 years old. It is fabulous ! My daughter loves ballet and she has had wonderful instructors! Everyone there is friendly and helpful. If anyone ever asks me, I always recommend they try Angela Floyd for dance lessons !

Our daughter Maddie had danced for several years before we moved to Knoxville. She was an “ok” dancer with a lot of passion. Since we’ve lived in Knoxville (4 years) we’ve seen her skill level increase one hundred fold and her passion and fire have continued to burn thanks to the great staff at Angela Floyd. We love Angela Floyd! After moving to Knoxville just over a year ago, finding the right dance studio for my daughter was one of the hardest parts about moving. After trying several studios in the west Knox area, we are so thankful to have found AF. The communication is top notch. The greatest strength of this studio has been their willingness to work with each individual dancer and best identify the class level for them. Age is not a factor and dancers are grouped by skill allowing dancers to reach his/herfull potential. The teachers are incredible and have a passion for dance and love the kids! We are thankful to have found our new dance home!

Look no further for a great dance and music school! We have been so pleased with our experience at Angela Floyd Schools! This is our fourth year at this studio, third year on one of their competition teams, and our first year joining the music school. Our very first experience was a summer camp at the studio. It was a week long program and our daughter had the best time! Everyone was so friendly and we knew this was the place for us! The staff is organized and efficient in handling the day to day business of the studio. We have been so impressed with the teachers. They are qualified and come from dance backgrounds. They are very genuine and care for the child’s dance education. From day one, they have taught proper dance vocabulary for the dance movements. While the teachers bring a fun approach to teaching they also are serious in teaching proper technique.Our daughter started piano this year and we have been so pleased with her progress. The one-on-one experience with her teacher has been priceless. The teacher is so engaging and each week brings a contagious excitement under which our daughter has thrived.So, if you are looking for a studio to call home, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

My granddaughter Reagan has been a student for the past few years. She not only has enjoyed expanding her knowledge of dance, but has enjoyed meeting many new friends along the way. We signed our daughter up for dance with Angela Floyd, Once we seen all they were doing was having play time in the dance studio we decided to enroll her somewhere else. When we confronted them about the issue they told us it would not be like that all the time we were paying a lot for each class. We could have taken our daughter to the park and movie for the amount it cost to attend that class. When the next month passed they charged us again for the classes. We asked them about this and they told us it was there policy that you had to have a 30 day withdrawn document. They would not cancel over the phone. They required us to come down there, well I live in East Knoxville and that was a 30 min drive. There is no reason they could not cancel it on the phone except they wanted to make it hard to cancel. When I got there the lady was not available, how convenient, to help me withdraw. So I had to make a second trip a few days later. The following month they charged us again for the classes when we confronted them they said we cancelled after the cut off date. So we basically paid for 3 months for our daughter to go to the classes 3 times. I tried to speak to the owner but she would not call back. There is a lot of other dance providers in Knoxville so you might want to stay clear of this one, I could see going there if they were the only place in town but since there is others I would stay clear. You want a friendly provider.

We love Angela Floyd!! My daughter has been dancing here for 6 years now and my son took music lessons for 3 years. The teachers/staff are excellent to work with and my children really enjoy going to lessons.

I have honestly never been here. But what I will say, is that I have spoken directly with Angela through email and she is so welcoming and informative. It made me want to work with her or at least get more into what her school is about, and I am certainly going to!

Angela Floyd dance is amazing! I love how the place dancers depending on their ability and not by age. Very professional studio for the serious dancers! My daughter loves it and so do I!

Our 8 year old daughter has been dancing at AFS for 5 years. She started out in ballet, but moved to Hip Hop as it better suited her personality. Her teachers have been wonderful to her throughout the years - working with her individually as well as in a class setting. She thrives on what she calls The Big Stage at the end of the year recital (which, by the way, is the best run recital in Knoxville - by far!). Our daughter has just started violin lessons at AFS as well and she is really loving it. So much so that she wants to continue with both dance and music. Our family sees this as both convenient and valuable to have both offerings in one place. There are hours to put in - for sure - but any good studio would require that. The flexibility in making up classes is appreciated as well. The staff knows our family and interacts with us whenever they have the opportunity. All of the above make this a great place for our daughter to experience, learn, and develop a long-term love for the arts. I highly recommend Angela Floyd Schools!

My daughter has been a student at AFDS for 2 years now. She absolutely LOVES it! We look forward to ballet and tap practice each week and were already anticipating her second recital this spring. The staff and instructors are friendly and professional. I feel as though they genuinely care for my daughter and look forward to seeing her in class just as much as we look forward to attending!

We appreciate all the staff and instructors at AFDS. Everyone is friendly, professional and accommodating. Our daughter has taken ballet and tap lessons for nearly three years and has enjoyed it immensely--shell be five this year. We just added an acro/tumbling class and she is having so much fun.We are truly impressed with the level of education and attention given to each student. Due to a recent snow day, we as a class, were able to reschedule a make-up class on a different day other than our regular class time. This was an easy and simple process, and this really gave us a good feeling.The dance recital is a well organized event from the moment of dress rehearsal drop-off, to the end of the recital. The result is a lovely production that has far exceeded our expectations. It really is breathtaking to see those girls (and guys) on stage in beautiful costumes doing what they love most...dancing. Our worries about security for our little ballerina were quickly put to ease. There was an organized sign-in process, then a company employee took our daughter with a group of other girls to their assigned room. We loved the security bands/tags used for pick up and felt our daughter was well cared for. The night of the recital the younger dancers are entertained with crafts, snacks and a magic show, so parents can sit back and enjoy watching the performance.We definitely recommend this experience to anyone that is interested in enrolling their child in a top notch dance school where quality is job number one. Youll definitely receive your moneys worth.

My daughter has been taking dance at AFS for four years, and voice for one year. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I know that my daughter is in a positive environment where she will be treated with love and respect, while taught the discipline and technique of dance. Her dance has blossomed under the supervision of Miss Angel and her staff. Further, I feel strongly that the studio expects a good attitude from the girls toward their teachers and each other. Music and costumes is always age appropriate and tasteful. I highly recommend AFS, it has been a wonderful place for Lily to grow as a dancer and as a person.

We loved AFS! It was our kiddos first experience with weekly school, and we couldnt have asked for a better first teacher than Miss Carolyn!

Our son always liked dance and music. When he started his classes at AFS at age 5, we were a little bit concerned that he was the only boy in his class. But the staff and other dancers made him feel absolutely comfortable.The annual spring concerts became a big event in our family: it’s very well organized, all dances, costumes and music are beautiful. The kids get really excited well before the concert itself! We also had couple years of AF Dance Company and it was great experience as well.Generally speaking we find the AFS staff very helpful, attentive to details and nice. This year is our fifth at AFS and our son tried everything from ballet to hip hop and acro. All these years he was certainly making big progress in his dance.We highly recommend this dance studio.
