Going to this school as of September 30th 2021 and ever since i started its been a hassel getting my books, also had to wait 1 and a half months to take my first test even though the whole class was ready a month prior to that. The district told us that it wasnt important to the high school students since they dont take it serious, But you do have adults taking courses and they pay for the class out of pocket and it is important to them! Professors are very unprofessional also! They dont even teach you hands on that much its all videos for the whole day, If i wouldve known that i wouldve just stood home and teach myself! Also, Whenever i come in late its a Issue and i get threatened on getting sent to the office and signing a contract when i clearly stated that i have sleep apnea but they clearly do not care at all! Cant even understand anything my teacher says when he tries to teach us so we have to guess what hes saying and it confuses all of us. They do not care for whats going on at home, they just care for themselves! Also, my professor forces us to take test whenever we Arent ready and says he will proceed with the test since he has our vouchers anyways and that is totally not fair! We should be able to take a test whenever we are ready but if we are 2-3 weeks late then yeah i understand but we are nowhere near done and hes already talking about putting us in the test and submitting our vouchers. But when we fail the test because we wasnt mentally ready, who will pay for a retake? My Unprofessional professor? No, we will have to pay 250 to retake 1 Test. please get better teachers as these teachers are Unfair.

I am currently in the MA program at the St. Cloud location and the process to register and get information about the program is easy. Vanessa takes the time to explain the details of the program and anything else needed. She is amazing! The front office staff is very friendly and very helpful to students and incoming students. The administrators (Mrs. Reyes now at Kissimee campus) and now Mr. French are here to help the students and they care about each student. Mrs. Bell who is the instructor of the MA program here at the St. Cloud location is an amazing teacher. Mrs. Bell cares about every student and prepares each one of her students to be the best MA they can be out in the workforce. She goes above and beyond to make every student sucessful.

Otech at the St. Cloud campus is fantastic! They really care about your future and genuinely care about you as an individual. The Medical Assisting program challenges their students and promotes critical thinking to better prepare students for the real world. They strive to create high standards and morals so that they send out better Medical personnel. I graduate June 9th 2021 under the instructor Kerri Bell. When I started this program I wanted to be challenged and to be pushed beyond my comfort zone. I truly feel that I have accomplished that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart..

I recommend this school for the practical nursing program. It wasn’t always the most organized but then again what school is? The program is easy to get into and they make sure you pass!!! I can’t say the same for other schools/program in the area, who are quick to kick students out. If you’re thinking about it just do it. It’ll all be worth it in the end!

The Pharmacy Technician Program at Osceola Technical College was a great experience. The program prepared me with the knowledge necessary to work on the field. It gave me the opportunity to be an intern at a chain retail pharmacy which later offered a position after my graduation on 2018. It is an amazing way to build a professional network. I definitely recommend this program to everyone that wants a high-quality education, work ethic foundation, and a quick route to employment right after the program completion. Thank you for all the wonderful work you do!Elizabeth Hernandez, CPhT, RPhT

Hello,I began the awesome pharmacy technician program with Osceola Technical College believing that I would go into Pharmacy as a technician full-time. While in the program representatives from Valencia College came to discuss the bridge that they have between the two educational facilities. When I heard how many credits that could be used towards an associate degree at Valencia from this pharmacy program, a light went off.I still went on to work in a pharmacy and quickly moved into working behind the scenes in the office for both the pharmacy, the pharmacist, and even doctors that were Partners with the pharmacist. I realized how much I like office work and recalled that I could go get an associate degree while applying credits that I received from the technical program. The associate degree is called: Management in the Workplace. And even more exciting news they now have created a bachelors degree to coincide with the associate degree.I may never have gone to college if I had not gone to the technical school and learned through working in pharmacy what I enjoy in life as a career.Jacqueline Lonneville, Class of 2017.

I graduated from the pharmacy technician training program in 2016 and did my internship at a retail pharmacy.Though Im not currently working in pharmacy, the experience has absolutely paid off. I was able to find a job with the University of Florida Center for Quality Medication Management even before graduation. Using the skills that I learned in the pharmacy technician training program allowed me to excel in my job, eventually helping me to become a senior technician just months after being hired on.My experience in the UFCQM is exactly the reason why I was hired by the financial service company I currently work for. None of this would have been possible without this program.Even if I never get back into pharmacy, Ill always be grateful for the experience. It has been instrumental in forming who I am today.

I was interested in LPN program . Regarding this purpose i called to college in the middle of september and made an phone appointment with a advisor . He told me to attach a copy of my transcript ( back home but i evaluated by josef silney ) and my id in his email . But i live near college and i so i prefer to submit those directly in front desk .I told it to the adviser too . but when i went to submit those the front desk lady refused to take my unofficial transcript ! she said it must come to us in a envelop from the evaluation center . I have been to other colleges too including valencia . First time they look at my unofficial transcript just to see what class i need to take what i can get waived . and now i have been accepted in a nursing school they saw my unofficial transcript when i pass the test and become eligible for admission that time they give me some admission requirements one of them is to send a official enveloped transcript which is more logical . After a long bargain with the lady she kept my transcript not id and was looking for the advisor . after sometimes she said they will give me a call in 1 to 2 days . but after 2 days i called to the college a lady who received the phone told me as we said we will give you a call then wait and give us time . after 6 days i called again bcos i was very close to deadline of application that time they connect me one of the advisor and he said i dont need to take TABE test . Was not i suppose to get a call from college ??? To talk 5 minutes with a student it takes 6 days !!!!I feel students are not welcomed in this college ! But what can be the reason ? I wish this review seen by Higher Authority of the college . I recommend Oseola Campus needed to be take care . i feel sorry for those students who have to deal with those !!!!! Good Luck .

Only 5 stars because the MA program and along with its instructor (Mrs. Bell) as well as the LPN program which im attending now, Ive attended OTECH for 2 years and the administration is not the best I recommend the saint cloud campus over the Kissimmee. The Kissimmee definitely lacks some professionalism. But if you stay on their toes they get you what you need. The instructors here are great along with the programs.

Osceola Technical College has an exceptional pharmacy technician program. In 2017, I pursued the program as a dual enrollment student and completed an ASHP accredited internship with Walgreens Pharmacy. The pharmacy technician program prepared me for my internship because lecture and hands on learning was incorporated every day I attended. I learned vital concepts such as how inpatient and outpatient pharmacies function, the importance of medication therapy management, compounding techniques, and much more.I felt comfortable asking questions and got tons of hands on practice. My instructor, Ms. Brown used her passion to create a safe and professional learning space for her students. During the year, guest speakers came to talk to students about experiences and topics such as patient care and growth in pharmacy.Currently, I am completing my nursing prerequisites at my local community college. The pharmacy technician program provided me opportunities and insight on my health care journey.Anyone who is thinking about enrolling in Osceola Technical College’s Pharmacy Technician program should go for it. Becoming a pharmacy technician is a rewarding career and you can make a difference in others’ life.

The pharmacy technician program at OTECH St Cloud is an exceptional program, with a nationally recognized pharmacy technician: Professor Verender Gail Brown.Professor Brown instructs with an extensive knowledge in the field of Pharmacy. Her insight in all the areas of law and regulations, Pharmacology, Sterile and Non-sterile Compounding, Medication Safety, Pharmacy, Quality Assurance, Medication Order Entry and Fill Process, Pharmacy Inventory Management, Pharmacy Information are exactly what any pursuing pharmacy technician should be looking for. This program prepares you for anything you can and will face in the field. I can attest to this since I have worked in retail pharmacy, inpatient pharmacy, central fill pharmacy and sterile compounding. The program prepares you, not only to get licensed by the State of Florida, but also to get certified nationally. Not to be boastful, but as the most successful student from my graduating class (2018), I can attest that the experiences from this program prepared me well for all my success.Miguel Angel David Figueroa, A.A., CPhT, RPhTClass of 2018Pharmacy Technician at Advent Health Celebration

Something that I valued while I was in the program was how the instructor was with the field of a pharmacy technician and the different aspects of the field. Throughout the program Ms. Gail Brown introduced students as senior technicians and entry technicians, which I thought was very neat.I started my career as a pharmacy technician with Walgreens Pharmacy in January 2019. I also did my internship with Walgreens.Throughout my first year working in the field I noticed the exposure training I was learning while in the program, from filling prescription, working with other pharmacists and technicians, customer interactions in a pharmacy setting, to reading prescriptions.I was amazed to have made the connection from what I had learned in the program and from the experiences of this past year in the field.I am thankful for Ms. Gail Brown for her knowledge of this career and for wanting her students to succeed in this career. I would not know where I would be without taking this program.Class of 2016 - Pharmacy Technician ProgramOsceola Technical CollegeMarcus Pedroza, RPhT

The Pharmacy Technician program is vital for anyone interested in the pharmacy field and healthcare profession. The field of pharmacy is experiencing rapid growth. Thus, this program allows prospective technicians to gain the knowledge and skills needed to improve pharmacy operations and deliver quality care. By completing the program, I was able to work for two years at the University of Floridas Center for Quality Medication Management, where I conducted telephonic services addressing possible medication adherence issues patients encountered. Currently, I work at Genoa Healthcare, a specialty pharmacy for patients with behavioral issues where I continue to apply the skills taught from the Pharmacy Technician program. This program provided me the confidence needed to perform the duties of a pharmacy technician and ensure that the highest levels of customer service are achieved. I would not have been able to gain experience in such practice settings if it wasnt for this program. I wasnt sure I wanted to become a pharmacist until I went through the program. I have loved working as a pharmacy technician, so I asked myself, Why not go further? So, I am presently pursuing my PharmD (doctorate degree in pharmacy) at the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy. I will be graduating in 2022. Thank you, Osceola Technical College, for providing a fantastic Pharmacy Technician program which allowed me to realize my dreams on becoming a pharmacist!Sincerely,Carmen J. My name is Laura Palacio, CPhT, RPhT. I am a Certified and Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician. I graduated from Technical Education Center Osceola, TECO (now called Osceola Technical College) in 2013 after interning in a retail pharmacy. Before graduating I volunteered as a pharmacy technician at Sedanos, however the manager decided to hire me as a technician instead! The Pharmacy Technician program was super valuable to me in a way that made me realize pharmacy is an amazing career for people who love helping others and being there for patients any way that you can. I gained a lot of knowledge about pharmacy and the real world, including how to research and find information about drugs more easily.

I finished the program of medical billing and coding yesterday (6/19/19). My journey was a wonderful experience. My teacher Mrs. Allers made it fun, she’s also very knowledgeable and always seeking ways on how to better improve the program for the students. She’s by far the best instructor at Osceola Technical College. If anyone is interested in a career in the medical field without being hands on with patients; then billing and coding is the career for you. Having to go through the process like financial aid, the bookstore might be a bit discouraging but I am glad I didn’t quit or gave up on Osceola Technical College because this program with Mrs. Allers made it all worthwhile, she truly pours everything in her students.

Wouldn’t wish this school on anyone. I signed up for the cyber security program and first 3 months no teacher. Finally got a teacher and took another 4 months to get textbooks and and come March 13 I was told it was my last day when I wasn’t informed about it or anything. Oh and don’t think that it will be any hands on work too no you literally watch videos on the computer for 6 hours. Horrible school DO NOT WASTE YOURE MONEY. The students are very annoying during freshman to sophomore year, but when tech finally comes in at junior year, its all good for the reason being that youll be in a tech program for half of the day and deal with loud and obnoxious children for only a set period of time. Dont make the same mistake as me because just about everyone has a very short temper and youll be stepping on eggshells for a long time. If they lash out at you, be sure to lash back and put them in their place. Good luck to all future freshman and I hope this works for yall :)

First year this school has the dental program . I was overall excited for this and looking forward for the experience and couldn’t wait to begin my future . Unfortunately being the end of the year . This class is not at all what I expected. As a hands on school we mostly did book work and classwork and sometimes nothing at all for a few hours . The school itself was very unorganized with this program and had no idea what they were doing . It’s the end of May and we should be getting into externships Which is part of our curriculum but instead we will be in class the whole summer instead of getting the hands on training we need and are required to have . It’s very disappointing especially having to pay money out of your own pocket and not getting everything out of the program. I truly feel like I wasted a year on this school when I could have went to an actual Dental Assisting school else where . I %100 don’t recommend this program to anyone . You will just waste your time . The assistant principal himself was no help at all . All of the students had to pay for the National Honors Society. Something that should be rewarded to the student for free for those who had good grades and good attendance had to pay $50. Making it seem like we had to have certain requirements in order to get this . The whole school got accepted into this program not just the ones with good grades and attendance. Making a lot of us realize anyone can be in the program no matter what cause the school just wanted to make an extra $50 from all the students . Truly sucks knowing all the other programs will be doing externships and we will just be sitting in class all summer not getting ready for when we actually get a dental assisting job in an office . Don’t waste your time, Find a better school that’s serves its purpose.

This school sucked. I sucked it up and graduated anyways. But wow this school is a mess. Hopefully vhanging the name means they got new people running this school because honestly I wasted 1.5 years of my life. The teacher basically freestyled his lesson plans. All our tools were old and broken. We never got tested on our knowledge as much as we should. Most of the class failed the ASE test except the people who knew what they were doing prior to attending this school. Everything we learned was on youtube or google. So save your time and money and just teach yourself through there.

Disregard the high schoolers writing these reviews, they are mad that TECO does not support unprofessionalism and actually enforces their core values.Anybody who thinks otherwise is obviously not there for the structured learning that these vocational programs do provide.I attended high school at TECO and whilst the PATHS side of things were a bit much, TECO always has been structured in providing a uniform lesson and learning path for said programs. The instructors may need some work on their professionalism, but everybody is human. They do their best and provide you, ultimately, with what you came there seeking - if you earn it!Administration may be a bit hard to get a hold of, but I have always received a return phone call within a day or so.

The nursing dean Mrs. Small could care less about her students she was no where to be found when needed, I could go on and on and on about them and their school just know DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!!! any other school would be better believe me!!!!
