Being an ACTUAL member of Westside High school I can speak about it. For one our principal has us on lock down! Lol There is nothing that goes on that he does not know about. He makes sure that His students are above average and excel at all costs. This is a good school. Dont take what everybody else said and run with it.

Graduated in 2006 when it was NB Forrest. I had a pretty good experience, and the teachers were very driven to help me graduate. Im thankful for everyone I came in contact with. Now I work in Aviation and Music Production and thankful Forrest High helped me get on track and focus on graduating.

Kudos to changing the name from KKK guy in 2014! Wow took you long enough but you did it. Thats why you get 5 stars. Now to work on the minds of the people and get the community to quit raising their kids to be racist! Then youll be the real MVP!

I hated my time here at this school. I went for my first two years, and bailed as fast as I could. Not only do they refuse to let you go to the bathroom, get water, or get something from your locker, the counselor kept giving me classes I didnt need, and refused to let me graduate as a junior. The teachers were worried more about IDs and not worried about actually teaching their students. So many teachers got in trouble the past few years. I graduated last year at another school that actually taught me what I needed to know, and only gave me classes that I needed for graduating.Oh, shall I mention they are terrible at teaching you test specifics? Theyre terrible at teaching in general, I only had two teachers I liked that works there. The only two that actually did their jobs by the way. The only two that graded the work, taught exactly what needed to be taught.School districts are too worried about testing all the damn time, and less about actually getting your students to retain and remember the information they were taught.Two stars is being nice honestly. The two stars go to the two teachers who made it worthwhile.Jokes on you Westside/Forrest. I graduated a year early and its no thanks to yall. Nice try though.I dont reccommend letting your kids go here. Especially if they have bathroom medical emergencies, this school seems to not care about that.

Being someone that ACTUALLY went to this high school all four years and graduated from there, its a horrible school. Horrible students there. Do not send your child to this school. This school and its staff are so unorganized. The principal and staff and security can never keep the students under control. There are constantly multiple fights at this school daily. The principle is horrible. The principle is an uneducated joke that doesnt rightfully deserve Dr. in front of his last name. The hoodlums at this school need better discipline. This school is also in need of a better, educated principal. Probably one of the worst schools in Duval County Public Schools. This school, and the principal of this school are an embarrassment.

ايات I had to come to that school to drop off some one son and I happen to come inside I wanted to know for myself well I found out that is one hell of a school the kids there are there to have a little fun and the teachers seem to have just as much what are we graduate a bunch of kids to turn out to be selling drugs hiphopengine I learned later that that boy can barely read and Im sure hell be graduating and the school will give him his cap and gown and tell him go make something of his self unfortunately the parents dont get it they should be demanding more instead of just a name of a school if they give a damn

Just by my first day here, I cant say that Im impressed, satisfied, or even intimidated. Props to all my teachers however for being cool with all of us. Anyway, half of the administration doesnt seem organized, I still havent found a way to join clubs, you have ro go on a wild goose chase through many hallways just to find one class, and I can already tell that lunch time is as ridiculous as it would be in an Elementary school. Most of the teens here tend to be a bunch of idiot boys, and boujee girls. The hallways are beyond packed, along with the poor air circulation. One of the toilets had spring a leak in the girls restroom, and the lockers along with the walls are peeling paint. The lights flicker on an off like someone hasnt payed their electricity bill. They ask students to wake up entirely too early, and I spent 45 minutes fretting over whether my bus had left me or hadnt arrived yet. Their is no administration whatsoever to help you find your bus, and everybody looks as though theyre ready to plant a fist in someone elses gave. Im not at all comfortable in this school, and I hope these next 3 years go by FAST. I want to bail out of here as soon as possible. This school doesnt have a good history, and definitely not a good name. Nor before or after. This school is just another building needing to be destroyed.

I write this review as a parent of a student who will be graduate this Thursday . And my thanks goes to all teachers who ever worked with my son but special Mrs. Freeman. I cant say nothing negative about the teachers. High school education is only one part of your kids education.it is so easy to blame failings one someone else and let them look bad. Kids attempting high school at 13 to 14 years old,to this age they are absolut capable to create theyre own social media accounts, having Twitter posting all day long. Surfing the internet for the newest trends in music or games, but parents blaming teachers for homework who isnt done because they have to access theyre school account. I witnessed a mother who was screaming at the Principal, because she wasnt able to sign her daughter in without a ID. This is how you teach your daughter. There are rules (laws) in school, later on at work, when you drive a car and it didnt matter where you come from, or what you are you have to follow them. It is not the schools fault if your kid didnt make their assignments, as parents you have the responsibility to look out what your kid is wearing on close to school, that they reach goals and making their homework and that they respect authorities.

Their services are TERRIBLE. I graduated from this school with a GED because, obviously I failed the FCAT and need to pass in order for me to get a Highschool Diploma.Now in four years I went to FSCJ for a retest and finally received a satisfactory score. The scores were printed out, I visit the school to turn them in, and was told to wait for a week to receive the Diploma. Well, a month has passed and I still don’t have it. Back to back each week I go up to see what was going on and why it took so long. It would be one thing and the other; pitiful excuses such as change of codes or they forgot to submit additional information to it, whatever goes along the lines. I swear if they don’t have my Diploma soon enough I will go to the board of education and complain! 😡

So many mean mans here dudes. Im like not too very happy with the ability of people being racist. Many people have been and are going to of have been racist. Racist must b taken care of by the navy because i was called things like boogeyman an thing of those sorts. School didnt teach me very much at all. but i found out that i have a very big hart. Kevin Hart is my inspiration. WosRT thing about being called the n word, IM WHIT. Well, Im a mixed caramel. I got shot here and blame be me for mugging the baby momma of my cousins sister. makes no sense if asked me.

I just started westside high today. So far from what I am Experiencing is unprofessional adults at this school. I tried yed to hand one of my teachers my scheduled he look at me told me to wait and pulled out his phone 📱 and started Texting. The principal is literally a pervert btw he doesnt even deserve DR in his name. Most of the teachers have a stuck up attitude and as you know first impression is everything, their first impression is being a discusting nasty person for no reason. For some reason if you try to be nice and respectful to theses teachers theyll try to run all over you. Also the staff is no help at all if you need help finding your class theyll say follow me then talk to another teacher and forget all about you then say Wyd get to class like really?? Also they will DRESS CODE YOU FOR ANYTHING LITERALLY DO NOT WEAR HOLES AT YOUR KNEES theyll go berzurk. Including the fact they let girls with their panties showing wear short shirt dresses and short skirts and say nothing at all. They also have Favoritism if your a good kid they hate that which is sooo stupid.

Horrible school bruh. The principal is not doing a good job either, hes sending kids home for no reason and plus he doesnt want the students there to stay after school and study. He said If you have bad grades, then theres no after school activities including tutoring.

This school is riddled with bad kids that are all from the ghetto. They dont respect or care about themselves or others. This school should be closed permanently. This school and the city should b ashamed of changing the name from Forrest. Shame on u all.
