Sacred Heart School is the best school in the west side of Jacksonville. I am a graduate from Sacred Heart. My child goes to Sacred Heart. I am very happy with present administration. They cleaned up mess of the past. Some people who used to control are not happy with growthof the church and school.They were corrupt..They come in fake id to destroy the reputation of the school and church.We are very happy that these people left our school. We love Sacred Heart

I was blessed to have been sent to Sacred Heart by my parents. Sacred Heart is one of the best schools in Duval county. The teachers, volunteers, priests, nuns, you name it, everyone cares not only about your studies but also about you and your family. The school has grown over the years, with money being put back into the school grounds. I made a lot of friends there and still keep in touch. Without a doubt, one of the best experiences in my life was attending Sacred Heart.

School is somewhat good academically. I went from straight B minuses here to all A’s in high school. Mrs O’Brien has to be my favorite teacher there because she believed in me the most. Most of the other teachers believed in me but some didn’t let me show my true skill and talents. I have a lead in the school musical at Snyder. But was declined a role here because because of my gender?? Dumb disciplinary system and protective custody is a money mooching joke. Like protective care should be free because we have jobs/school and A) can’t afford it. B) don’t have the ability to get our kid/sibling at 2:50 sharp when we get out of school/work AT 2:50. Lunches are ok. However they have a Beautiful church and very nice pastor.

Yesterday I attended the funeral of the coach at Sacred Heart School. She taught there for 20 years. There were at least 500 people at that funeral and it could have been higher than that. So many people whose lives she touched positively. To the people who have recently posted such negative posts on the school, I am sorry for you. Believe me you are far outnumbered. I taught there for almost thirty years and my three children attended. There were always a few students who did not like the school, mainly because of the rules and regulations but the majority received excellent educations. I see that many of them are sending their children to Sacred Heart. There are always going to be problems, but instead of writing vile posts condemning, work to find solutions. Volunteer!

For almost 60 years, children and parents have enjoyed a welcoming and spiritual home at Sacred Heart Catholic School. As a former student, my family has often discussed how today they are so blessed by receiving a good Catholic education, specifically at Sacred Heart. Both of my children went to Sacred Heart School and now my grandson is a student. We were blessed with the Sisters of Mercy and now the Mercedarian Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and many wonderful teachers. We, as parents and grandparents, appreciate the opportunity to send our children here.

My children went to this school from little hearts to the eighth grade and then went on to Bishop Snyder for High School. The education was excellent and has preceded to help them in their adult lives. They both attribute their learning capabilities to their years at Sacred Heart. The faith at this school also helped our family come out through the other side when facing some huge obstacles and tragedy. I would do it all over again if I had a redo. God, continue to bless and guide the teachers and administrators at this wonderful school!

I am thankful that my children and grandchildren have had the opportunity to attend Sacred Heart Catholic School. My children received a wonderful education there, so great in fact that upon entering public high school even their advanced courses included curriculum already covered at Sacred Heart. My oldest grandchild graduated from Sacred Heart well prepared for high school, both academically and spiritually. Our youngest grandchild is currently a student there and we are extremely pleased with the academic and spiritual education he is receiving. Clearly, this is due in large part to the great teachers and administrators. We are so very thankful to once again have nuns at Sacred Heart. Their presence is a true blessing. I highly recommend Sacred Heart Catholic School if you want to ensure your children receive a good education in a safe and spiritual environment.

Attended this school since 3rd to 5th for my honest review i wouldnt say it was the best school but it is a good school. Sacred heart was honestly my first private school i ever been to and from all the experience i had is that.... tbh lol i forgot most of my memories in this school. But i like the fair they have every year tho👌😂

Sacred Heart church and school is a beautiful place of worship and learning. I am a parishioner for last 20 years and my children went to school here. We missed the religious sisters presence and administration for last few years. During that time a group of people who dont believe in the catholic teaching tried to take control of the school. Thanks be to God,this group is vanishing from the school and church . Now we are blessed with Mercedarian Sisters of Blessed Sacrament in our school. Sr. Rosario is the new principal. I am sure that she will make this school as the best school in the Duval County. I thank our pastor Fr.James for his vision commitment and shepherds heart. I pray for you all everyday.

A great school to build a strong moral base for a child Catholic or not.

I heard some bad and good things about this school but Im still hopeful that it will get better. I have 2 children that go to SHCS and so far, they love it because they made lots of friends and its convenient for us being close by our house. I also love the group of parents in 6th and 2nd grades. We always help each other out. Academically, yes I believe they are excellent but they suck in sports. Sorry to say. My kids and some kids I know have potential in sports especially cross country but they dont have coach. I hope they hire a real coaches and not rely only on parent volunteers. I love coach Katrina but too bad she quit . We want our kids to be proud of their school. Somebody has to do something. Tuition fee is not a joke. We always contribute to their fundraising events, had given a lot of volunteer hours and donations. I hope and I pray that changes this coming school year will be better . Were not giving up yet. I have attended SHCS from kindergarten through eighth grade. Now as an alumni, I can say I can leave a reliable review. My peers and I have watched one another grow up and have developed lasting friendships here. The teachers are for the most part friendly, however its inevitable that you will encounter a teacher you dislike. My absolute favorite teacher from 6th to 8th grade was none other than Dr. Yumul. He is a phenomenal teacher who has a funny and interactive teaching style. He has made me have a positive outlook on science, and now I am excelling in my classes at high school. As far as the administration and disciplinary rules, my experience wasnt so great. Very often there were unfair and over the top consequences for petty actions. The classes that are available are average. When I was there the highest mathematics class was Algebra 1, whilst other schools had Geometry and some even Algebra 2. I do not regret attending the school, I think its a great choice, but definitely not the best. Thanks.

My children and their children have and are attending Sacred Heart . Is it a perfect school? Could it be better? Of course it could and that is why there is a team of dedicated teachers and administration who strive everyday to improve on what is already pretty amazing! I sent my children to Sacred Heart because I wanted them to have a good start. I sent them there because I wanted them to have more of a religious education then attending Mass on Sundays. I sent them there because I wanted them to learn respect and good morals. They received all these things ar Sacred Heart and more. They learned not only an outstanding curriculum but that they were not the center of the universe and everything did not always go their way. They learned to be part of a community and experienced that in a place where most students go there from Kindergarten to 8th grade and witness the joys and sorrows of life with each other as a community academically, spiritually and personally.Many of the teachers are there for years and are experienced, kind and more then generous of their time and talent. They care about every child and work hard to give them the best education and support possible.The fact many students who attended now have there own children there (even though at the time they attended they may have grumbled about the homework and disciple) speaks volumes for what the school is and what the students who graduate from there feel about it once it is time to make decisions for their children’s education.

Sacred Heart keeps me centered,it keeps me focused on my duties as a servant to my family.I dont get home (Jacksonville)much,but Sacred Heart is my first stop when I do.

Both my daughters attend SHCS. My daughter began in VPK and then my 2nd daughter started the year after bc we lived close by. Later on we moved farther away but found it worth the trip to continue their education at Sacred Heart. This is where our heart remains.
