Dr. Betty Roaches is in fact an amazing teacher. I loved being in her phlebotomy course. She explains everything in a way you will understand. We had some very interesting discussions in her course. I highly recommend going to this school if you’re interested. Please don’t listen to the one star reviews; those are from students who didn’t apply themselves in the classroom or study or pay their fees so they ended up failing the course. Its very easy to pass this course if you apply yourself and listen to Dr. Roaches. She explains in the beginning of the course that fees are due when expected. If you can’t pay for the course then simply don’t waste your time or hers.

What a great school! Dr Roaches is very knowledgeable, supportive, organized and professional. Her staff are amazing, always ready to help. I couldnt asked for a better instructor. She goes above and beyond to make sure we understand the curriculum and us always open to questions. I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a career in phlebotomy. First, let me start by saying this, if you’re not TRULY ready to apply yourself and put in the effort to learn… then don’t waste your money and time, nor hers. Dr. Betty is full of passion and drive and just wants everyone to succeed. The class was educational, interesting and humorous.I consider H.A.T.T.S as an affordable bridge to learn new skills in the allied health field, that provides the skills needed from r my future health career goals.Dr. Betty, was a phenomenal professor that gives you the tough love and push that is needed in today’s society.

Doctor Roaches or whatever her name is . I 10 out of 10 don’t recommend. She’s very rude and unprofessional also very money hungry . During registration i was not notified that i had to make a certain amount every week to stay in her course after the course started she started asking for money every day . Also she’s very judgmental instead of teaching the lesson she lecturers about how people who is not vaccinated for Covid is dumb and will be dead sooner or later. She doesn’t try to understand where her students are coming from at all. Like i said very rude . Will not ever return to this school.

I want to thank Dr. Betty Roaches for believing in me when I first met her. I came to her a couple of weeks after the start of her Clinical Medical Assistant class. She told me that if I applied myself even though I missed a couple of weeks of that class, she would get me through the class despite missing those weeks and sure enough she did. Dr. Roaches is an excellent instructor, very professional, and has an amazing personality. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about the field she is teaching. Dr. Roaches will challenge you and she will motivate you, but only if you WANT IT. She will give you hands-on training but she also give you real world experience to go with that training so you can succeed in the field of your choice and in your career. Went to this school in early October 2020 for my phlebotomy certification and license the class was a little over $1000 I felt as if the teaching wasn’t up to par it felt as if it was a self-taught class the teacher doesn’t really go over everything it was kind of all over the place. I stopped attending because I felt as if the teacher just wasn’t a good teacher FOR ME always left class feeling as if I didn’t learn MUCH, was giving one needle to practice with.There was only one arm in the entire classroom which was really old and didn’t have the fluid inside of the fake veins there for you never knew if you really going into the vein correctly

If you get offended easily or you cant take constructive criticism from someone who clearly has a passion about what she does then dont brother taking this course. Ms. Taylor...well now Mrs. Roaches is a good teacher she is very knowledgeable about the course at hand (phlebotomy)...it is a short course and there is a lot of information to take in so be sure to STUDY STUDY STUDY...at times i felt like i wasnt getting all the info i needed but she teaches you how to use common sense along with the material being taught...its been times where i voiced my opinions and it got a bit heated but it wasnt too bad to complain...she goes over the case studies and that helps a lot...and i love the hands on training...all and all for the tuition and the days i needed it was a perfect fit for me...and Ms. Roaches you owe me breakfast lol...
