I have been in Ben Gamla for 7 years as a student. The school is fantastic. The academic course is challenging yet very awarding. No doubt, Ben Gamla is an A school. Safe and fun events for students are always prepared to be educational too. The teachers and principal Mrs.Miller are friendly and welly educated.

This place is an amazing environment for children to learn. The teachers can be strict, but are also fun from time to time. They make jokes to the children that are age appropriate. There are many different clubs to participate in. For example, there is Yearbook club, Drama club, Typing club, Sparklers Dance Team, WISE club, etc. They have aftercare programs such as Aftercare and Sibling care. The Hebrew teachers explain to the kids what each word means until they get it just right. They also give the students as much time as they need. This is an amazing school with awesome teachers and staff.

I took my daughter out of this school. The principal of this school is very disrespectful towards parents. 1.- Kindergarten orientation 2 years ago, some parents (including myself) were going up the stairs at the school and she yelled why would you be going upstairs, dont you know kinder is downstairs? - there was no one at the site to guide us where to go and we did not know the school grounds. 2.- I needed before care, so she called me personally, and I was at a conference all day, she left me a voicemail saying how sad I chose not to answer her phone call - I called her back the next morning and explained to her I was at a conference and could not take the call. Conversation continued and she says Maybe this is not the school for you, where do you live? - I actually lived in her same building 10 mins away. 3.- 1st grade orientation, she yells at a parent in front of everyone hey, you! Put away that phone you are in my domain now! - she could respectfully have said excuse sir, can you please put away your phone as we have started. 4.- Last incident and for which I left the school, I emailed her about a safety concern as my daughter told me that one of her friends thought they were filming them from outside of the school, to which she replied with a very disrespectful email basically saying there is nothing she can do because the street is public property. I understand, but she did not even say I will look into it. So if safety is not something this school wants to reinforce, I am out.

Great school. I know the the school has a low budget compared to other schools and does not have the best facilities. But.... If you are looking for a great education and learning experience, devoted teachers and an amazing principal, Ben gamla is the best.

PLEASE SHARE MY STORY GUYS!!!Ben Gamla Charter School Plantation allowed my son who has Epilepsy to be bullied by a kid and once my son got up to defend himself, they gave him I.S.... this child threw stuff at my child multiple times, then my child proceeded to throw his sweater at the kid. Then the kid hit my son in his face with a lunch box (my child has Epilepsy). Then the fight was broken up. The school says the decision was justified because Lyric was the first to be physical . I dont agree with this. I thought being physical is ANY type of contact to harm. So how was my child the FIRST to be physical? I contacted the school Liason, Marla, and no results. She pretty much came back stating that the principal thinks decision was justified. My child repeatedly asked the child to stop. There was no time to tell a teacher in the lunch room when youre basically being bullied by another student. My child couldve went into a seizure.

Ben Gamla it the best school, I am a student for 7 years, I feel safe and they give me a lot of love. I know there is a lot of homework, but I know what is best for us. The proncipal she is the best, she knows very well and she loves us, each of the teachers are wonderful.

My cousin goes to Ben Gamla, great school, great academic course.I only wish they updated their website to reflect the schools events like when Summer starts or ends... etc. Its hard to find current news on the school through the website.

Let me start of this review with some cons (or a lot) its kinda small if you are on the third floor you have to climb three flights of stairs (just WOW) many of the classes are small and there is like 24 kids in most of the TINY classrooms (so far 4 cons) the food is bad (just getting started) so horrible the food is very limited in choices (there is one main meal and two sides plus a so called drink) the Hebrew teacher there are rude they give the kids hard homework even though many kids dont even speak Hebrew the PE coaches are rude,when rains they stay inside and there is barley any time to do PE because they spend like 10 hours talking to the kids (some exaggerations) . during lunch time only a couple grades stay inside plus when the kids have PE the coaches are so annoying and use the kids time for THEIR lunch. i will give some more cons and pros next the after school is not good they have strict rules and in many situations they may lie or use the defenders lies because their nice and and such and such.the principal is not nice when i had a meeting with my mom my mother mentioned i almost died according to the doctor and the quote Did Anyone Ask YOU for THAT in a pretty rude tone which made me kind of mad even though this is personal she is still rude to most parents like mine. i have gone to this school for 6 years and my brother came when it opened over all this school is not they may say its an A school and that is true and all but,the other elements that in my opinion and fellow peers are true and that can relate the them this review is honest

I went here for years and all i did was suffer but i finally left and ive been nothing but happier in my new school, the teachers enjoy accusing kids for doing nothing wrong and get them in trouble for nothing... i thankfully didnt go to the highschool but i heard it was horrible.

Great school!Totally different from the high school where my older son is,My younger son is there in 5th Grade.The staff is great,Ms Miller is wonderful!

You people all talking trash about Ben Gamla, sure it has some disadvantages, but the place is awesome! The teachers are only mean and strict because students are always talking at the wrong time and the teachers are pushing us to be our best! You people complain about the after school activities and how you arent paying and they should be included. The school is small, so they are trying to make repairs and make it WAY bigger than it is now! Just because the school is small and has some things you may not like doesnt mean it is a bad school. The school is small, but it still is costly. That is why it is expensive and you have to pay for after school activities, so the school can get more money to expand, repair, and improve. The school does not have enough money to pay for perfect cafeteria food. Besides, have you been to public schools? They are a lot worse, 99% of the time the kids are doing whatever they want and not learning, which means they will work at Publix when theyre older. At least in this school, students WANT to be and most definitely WILL be lawyers, doctors, scientists, book authors, etc. Also, clearly you havent been to any other school, because are you kidding me? If you have been to any other normal school, then you would know that the cafeteria food at any other school is JUST as bad. So say what you want about Ben Gamla, but Ben Gamla do whatever they can to improve the lives and education of the students. The teachers do teach students manners, it is just that the students dont listen and talk as if they werent in school. Also, A LOT of the older students (5th grade, 6th grade) curse IN CLASS and make fun of some of the teachers right in front of the teachers faces. The STUDENTS are the ones who dont pay attention when teachers show manners.So, all of you people out there dissing Ben Gamla when 99% of you dont even know what the school is actually like and what the school is going through, SHUT THE F*** UP BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW SH**! BEN GAMLA IS AN AWESOME SCHOOL THAT TEACHES KIDS TO BE THEIR VERY BEST AND THAT THEY CAN DO ANYTHING, EVEN IF YOURE UNDER PRESSURE AND LIFE IS HARD! Woow!! what a horrible attitude!!! who they think they are????? the only A school in the area??they called me to said my son accepted and when i rejected their offer bcs its too late to tell me that 3 days before school start the principal Mrs M changed her attitude like i am a crazy person for giving up on the opportunity of register my child to her school!!well lady, your school is not different then any other A rated school in this area so get dawn from the tree you claimed on!!! and with this attitude- its even worst then others!!BTW, look at your other reviews here, more then 3 ppl rated you low, so i guess to be an A school is not enough!bunch of arrogant ;and for NOTHING!!
