I came in awhile back and the staff were extremely knowledgeable! I wish they did some sort of internship program where people could learn about building computers. Its such a great environment there! 10/10

Called them shortly after they opened to explain my issue, brought my pc in around 11, it was fixed and got it back the same day. Encountered two different staff members between dropping off and picking up, both were very helpful. As someone who prioritizes going to locally owned businesses I definitely recommend and will use them again.

Greg is one of the most responsive people Ive ever dealt with and Ive dealt with many over the years. He jumped all over my problem. My computer had died due to over heating from having the airflow channels restricted due to cat dander and dust. He found a used computer and pulled the hard drive and solid state memory from mine into the used computer, which by the way was a higher grade than mine.He kept working until he finished and I could not believe he did what he did. He is very serious about his work and explains what he has to do to help you. I was skeptical about taking older computer and having it worked on but I had several thousand dollars of software that I did not want to lose. He saved me big time and highly recommend his services.

I am hopeless with computers and technology in general. I accidentally kill them regularly and I dont understand why or how to fix them. Everyone at this shop was so helpful, figured out my problems quickly and how to fix it, plus advice on how to avoid similar and other issues moving forward. They explained everything to me so I understood easily. We had to replace a fan and replace my hard drive, which sounds dramatic but turned out to be relatively quick and painless. Hopefully I wont kill another computer, but if I do, Ill definitely come back here.

I recently dropped off my computer with nothing known except that it kept crashing and giving me the dreaded blue screen of death. This computer was built about a decade ago and recently inherited by me, so it really could have been anything. It was the cpu fan section... Greg and Neal were terrific and had it fixed within a day. Im very happy.

UPDATE: When you drop off computer youll be asked to sign more paperwork than reqd for hospital surgery...but its all for their protection, not yours. If you use this place, GET IT IN WRITING. But onto what they did to computer...replaced a couple parts to do w/battery...so Im trying to figure out why hundreds of pictures of blurry emojis and political pics were downloaded...and my bookmark w/all my apps? GONE. And the desktop? looks like someone made it to THEIR liking. Its a spare computer, so it took awhile to find all these unnecessary re-arrangements; but, bottom line, I just wouldnt trust this guy w/my computer again.

I thought a piece of my charger was stuck in my charging port on my laptop. I took it in. The older gentleman says to me Oh yeah I see it before even looking at it lol. I was like huh? Then a younger gentleman tells me that Ill have to get an entirely new port and itd cost me $75 for labor and $58 for the part. I did not think itd be that much, so I declined. My friend has the same laptop. Come to find out there was nothing stuck in the charging port. My charger was messed up. Bought myself a new charger for my laptop and all is well. Lesson Learned. Exhaust options on your own before wasting money on unnecessary service. Its hard times right now, I understand, but everyone is going through it. I would have much rather maybe bought a charger from here and maybe heard about update/software options than to have someone try to swindle me.

I recently had my water cooling system go out in my computer and needed to replace it with a new cooling system. I was really pleased with the service and support provided by computer tech services. They did a good job explaining their diagnosis of the problem and walking me through my options for replacing my cooling system. Within 4 days they had my system repaired and ready to go and also told me about a faulty HDD I had installed which they unplugged to prevent any additional performance problems. I can’t say I had any issues with the service and I would recommend them for any problems you might have with any laptops or gaming rigs. Thanks for the excellent service I will be back in the event I have any other computer related problems.

The owner, Greg, is a jerk and a know it all who really doesnt know anything. I brought my computer into his shop for what should have been a very easy fix. Over $200 later and him installing some software on my computer that I didnt even want, my computer does not work and is useless. I would never in a million years trust him again to do work for me.

When I couldnt connect to the internet over the weekend, but my husband could connect on his computer, we knew it had to be a problem with my computer. Eek. We took the patient in to the only computer repair place open on Saturday (but luckily it had great reviews so we felt reassured) and Greg fixed it as we waited in about 20 minutes. It was 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Boy were we lucky. Greg was nice as could be, and knew what to do. Im going to take my computer back to get more cleaning and whatever (Greg will know). A very positive experience!

Probably the worst retail experience Ive ever had. Rude to his customers and very unprofessional. I was given a two week time frame for the fixes but it took over 2 months to fix a fan in a laptop. The fan part wasnt even ordered until 1 month after the computer was dropped off. Please, save your money, time, and patience and go somewhere else, anywhere else.

Still 5 stars in my book---pandemic and all!===========================I plucked this firm from a Google search when I had a major issue with my home PC. A Microsoft update entangled my Outlook and it was nearly a complete loss. Greg spent hours on the phone with the Microsoft team who finally admitted their problem and worked with Greg to get me fixed. I would not even have known how to describe the issue to MS. Greg sorted through all of it! He was really persistent and provided a very rapid response considering the issue. I fully recommend him.

Price was OK and he appeared to be very knowledgeable but he continued to interrupt me and talk down to me. Like he knew what was going on rather than listen to me. My “new” PC still seems slow and he blamed it on my internet connection even though many things were simply opening up a software local to my PC. I was trying to avoid a big box store and wanted to support a local shop and his reviews were good at the time. Next time I will go elsewhere.

I had a fairly new desktop computer that was not booting. I had run some basic tests myself, and had narrowed the problem to a few potential issues, including a defective power supply. I brought them the computer for testing and they told me it was either the motherboard or processor. Based on their advice, I ordered and elected to have them install a new motherboard. That did not solve the problem and they informed me it must be the processor, which they could not test. After picking up my system, I elected to take it to another shop, Computer Direct Outlet. The tech there immediately diagnosed my problem as a defective power supply -- he attached a different one and the system worked perfectly. When I contacted Greg at Computer-Tech afterwards, he claimed that he had in fact tested the power supply before recommending a replacement motherboard, and he refused to offer any accommodation. His response absolutely strains credulity -- I am confident that if I were to go to the trouble of reinserting my old motherboard with my new power supply, the system would work perfectly. (In fact, I offer him that challenge, provided he agrees to refund everything I paid him if the old motherboard works.) My strong recommendation, therefore, to all potential customers -- go instead to Computer Direct Outlet. There, for a nominal charge of $15, you can take your system to their bullpen area and get expert tech advice. I wish I had known sooner.

Greg is the very best! I have been looking for a tech like he is for many years. Not knowing very much about computers, he is very patient with my insecurity.

I would not recommend taking your systems or printers here. Greg was very rude at points even saying, What do you want? when I would call to check on the status of my printer. Of which he had for 5 days and of course the issue was not resolved. I had the sense that he had no idea what he was doing, he would ask me if I was using off brand cartridges. If he had taken it apart (like he said) he would most definitely seen that the cartridge was genuine. He told me that the problem was caused by the cartridge until I told him I tried two (this caught him off guard and he said he would look into other problems he thought it might be). He didnt seem helpful. I went to go pick up my printer at 11:00AM and of which they open at 10:00AM. No one was there and we even talked earlier that day that I would be picking it up that very day. Overall, take your systems to a more professional place where you can count on your issues being resolved.

We purchased a new ASUs Desktop and a Monitor from Computer-Tech. After the purchase, I had a boat load of problems, caused by my clicking on things I did not know for sure was the correct place to click. I really got my power settings and desktop backgrounds, and displays all fouled up. One call to Gregg ( the owner), and he spend about 45 minutes of his valuable time undoing my mess. To me, service after the sale is VERY important. I am very pleased with his help to straighten out my mess and will highly recommend his place of business to all.

This place has decent customer sevrvice, but the owner disregarded me when I told him what was wrong with my computer by saying most people dont know jack about computers. Turns out I was right and received a jacked up computer with my programs deleted; for no plausible reason. If you have a serious problem I suggest to find a more reliable servicemen.
