Lack of supervision, they do not have enough staff. They openly admit they do not have enough staff.. They then turn around and make it the parents problem instead of reducing or splitting class sizes and times. They communicate poorly with parents and among themselves. If your child has any type of special need or development delay this is NOT the place! I cant imagine a child with food allergies being accommodated here.Their staff is most certainly not trained or educated enough to care for children outside the basics needs. In my opinion, they definitely arent worth what I paid/their rates which have also increased. For a few hundred dollars less I could have put my child in private school. They didnt even read my childs admission paperwork and openly admitted that.My child also reported being held down on several occasions! They definitely discriminate against children who require extra care and disabilities. All they see are dollar signs, sadly.

Zero experience with delayed children and unable to work with them at all. Teachers speak poorly to students and staff is unable to adjust communication with kids despite being given tips from speech therapists. Do not send your child here. My sons behavior took a major decline within weeks of being here

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The staff here go above and beyond their job when it comes to the kiddos. They treat you and your child just like family and are VERY supportive towards any special needs that your child may have. Prior to coming here my daughter had a bad experience at her last daycare making it challenging to drop her off and she was almost completely non-verbal as well which made her behavior on difficult side. Now she has blossomed so much and the staff gave me a lot support and resources that has helped her speech improve tremendously! Not only that my daughters loves the staff like a second family!

I have two children at YPLC (1year old and 4 year old) and love the programs at both the different centers. The teachers are so caring and I know I am leaving my children in a positive and loving environment. I sometimes wonder how they can be so patience :). My older child get to go on fun field trips and walks around to the outside to get different fun experiences. Thanks young peoples for giving me a place to have my children learn and grow.

We have worked with Young People’s Learning Center for almost 2 years. We have appreciated their help with staying on the same page on techniques that work for childcare. They have excellent staff to parent communication. They work with many types of families and children and am thankful they have continued to love our children throughout it all!

Be careful taking your kids here. They do not care if your kids leave without eating and if the child displays discomfort with being outside in the weather they are forced to indure. They care more about their numbers than the care of the child.Cold does not make people sick. Says the director.

My family loves YPLC! Our daughter has fun, learns a lot, and is well taken care of by the staff who are kind and patient. They communicate health concerns and updates often and respond to our questions quickly. I particularly like that YP is family owned and has been part of our community for over 40 years. As 1st time parents, there’s so much to learn it’s overwhelming sometimes, but Heather has been a tremendous help. Thank you and everyone for guiding us through the process and giving our little lady a wonderful place to learn and grow. 💜

Young Peoples Learning Center is a great place for kids to go and enjoy themselves! Both of my boys have attended YPLC, my oldest son has been going here for six years and has always loved it. The after school programs are great and spoil the kids with many, diverse, fun, activities. The summer camp is also a great time for the children, everyday the kids go on a new adventure. YPLC has a place for children at any age. The staff is truly amazing, they are respectful and kind and do their best to work with any situation that comes up. Young Peoples Learning Center is GREAT, I would recommend it to anyone.

My son has been attending at YPLC for about 5 years and they have been truely amazing. My son was banned from another daycare in town due to behavioral problems and was referred to YPLC by my family who had previously gone there. I went over the struggles that we had previously and our experience with the other facility and they welcomed me and my son with open arms. They worked with my son through all the good and bad days and my son created amazing relationships with the staff. Currently my sons only attend school out days and FunCamp which we love, I feel that for what we pay we get so many experiences compared to other facilities. Childcare has never been affordable for me and is still a huge expense for me and my family, especially during the summer, but I would not take my child anywhere else. Heather has been so flexible with us financially and has worked with payment arrangements and has made the financial burden as less stressful as possible. This year YPLC introduced new after-school programs which my son attends every Wednesday at the FoCo Cafe and is learning how to cook. This is such an amazing program, and I am truly thankful for the staff for taking this on, its so fun to see all of them proud of the dishes that they created. I have and will continue to always recommend YPLC for anyone seeking childcare, its comparable to other facilities but you really get what you pay for. Their activities are jammed packed full of fun and different things for the kids to do, during the Summer my son is wiped from all the things that they do. We are so grateful to be part of the YPLC family and look forward to many more years with them.

I had the worst experience you could possible had with YPLC. Dont take your kids there, they will called me every other week saying my daughter had a fever and i have to come pick her up now. I had the worst 4 months running between Emergency room, walk-in clinics and different doctors trying to figure out whats wrong with my daughter. I did all the possible blood works, x-rays and exams. Plus their director Jessica is a LIAR, she kept changing the rules on me. She said they will give her Tylenol if she has law grade fever. Then, she said they need a doctors note. Then, it was that i have to go personally to administer her medication. I had to leave my work so many times to run get my doctor and every single time, she was perfectly fine. I took her to a different day care and she never gets sick their. Also, they would discriminate against you if you are not white and treat you poorly.

YPLC is the greatest child care center weve ever been to. The experiences with each person have been more than positive. The love and care they show our child is above and beyond anything we couldve hoped for. The communication with teachers and staff is so helpful, friendly and kind. Our questions and concerns are always met with patience and thoughtful suggestions that are specific to our child and how he learns and understands. We absolutely love YPLC and would recommend this day care to anyone.

Beware! Pre-K classroom student to teacher ratio is more than they can handle. I recently removed my kid because other students were being bullies. We voiced our concerns with the teachers for weeks and their underlying response was that they are trying to teach kids to stick up for themselves, which I interpret as saying it is too hard to stop the other kids from being mean so lets change a sweet and sharing kid into a bully as well. If you love your child I would look elsewhere!!!!!

If you are considering any of Young Peoples programs, I would first urge you to go to the BBB Northern Colorado site and read my complaint. You will learn much about the man behind YPLC. My child has not ever attended the day care program, but has attended the summer camp programs two different summers and then 7 fateful days during a third summer. That seven days cost me $1100.00.The owner took me to court 2 days after Christmas; he won his case for no other reason than I signed a contract. This case went viral amongst my various social outlets (friends and strangers alike) and the consensus was always the same in that no one could believe that a contract could be binding when it comes down to the decisions you make as a parent in protecting your child. Hearing the verdict read was a very surreal moment and it was the first time in my life as I mother that I felt completely helpless. The owners contract states that $20.00 will be assessed per each week that the tuition is not paid. For each week that I was fighting this (approx. 20 weeks), I was being charged $20.00 per week. The only glimmer of light in court that day was when the judge looked at the owner and said, I have warned you about this before! You cannot charge people $20.00 per week for late payments! He went on to explain to him how wrong it was. The judge then awarded him $5.00 per week. Before court began, we were taken into mediation where the owner agreed to a settlement of $_______, which coincidentally was the exact amount with $5.00 per week being assessed for late payments as opposed to the absurd amount of $20.00.Finally, one crucial piece of information that you should know is that this all began with a phone call from a counselor who accused my son of lying (which he did not) and with nothing to substantiate it. He also accused my son of ripping another campers tent (which he did). The counselor asked me if he could give the campers parents my phone number to which I responded, ABSOLUTELY! I never heard from the other parents and the owner would bring this up in the BBB chain of emails and then again in court. He told the judge that as of that day I had STILL not contacted the parents of the other camper to offer a replacement and once again, I was forced to defend the fact that the counselor asked ME if he could give them MY number. (I didnt even know who the other camper was). After court I received an email from the owner with the other campers parents phone number. I called immediately to offer to replace the tent. As it turns out, the other parent was an employee of YPLC and she told me that she never heard anything about the tent and had only just found out about it a few weeks earlier from her son. The counselor never even gave the mom my information! She told me that the tent was so old but that she would ask her husband if he wanted me to replace it. A couple of weeks later I received an email from the mom/employee telling me that they werent going to worry about it since it was such an old tent. The communication chain on the BBB Northern Colorado site is lengthy, but well worth the read. I would rather you read directly from the owners words himself, rather than post any misinterpretations. Go to BBB and click Check out a business or charity and type in Young Peoples Learning Center. Then click on YPLC again and then click complaints. It takes a village to raise our kids and I am doing my part to make their world safer and better.
