I finished the classroom portion of driving school here as of yesterday, and I had a great experience here. BJ was my instructor, and I couldnt possibly be more satisfied. The classroom atmosphere was great. I felt very welcome at this driving school. I felt well prepared for the test, because the instruction I received was great. I am looking forward to coming back for behind the wheel training! Parents, if you are considering sending your child here for Drivers Ed I would highly recommend you do so. They will feel happy with their experience, and be well prepared for the final test. The instruction they will receive will be excellent!

My sister and I had an amazing experience here! Our classroom instructor, Mr. Chance, was very knowledgeable about driving. He taught us well and I felt prepared to start driving. Our behind the wheel instructor, Mr. Giovanni, was an expert on the roads, and whenever I drove with him I knew I was in good hands. We got our drivers licenses today, and I am so grateful to have had the experience with Conahans! God bless you all!

We had the most amazing experience here! Our in-class instructor was Mr. Jim Chance, and he taught us even more than the manual provided! Not only that, but our behind-the-wheel instructor Mr. Giovanni was absolutely outstanding! While my sister and I were in the car, we never felt uncomfortable or scared, despite doing mountain driving the first time. We learned so much, and we continue to remember what he taught us! Overall, it was all a fun experience and easy process, while emphasizing the importance of safety. Thank you!

I would recommend Conahans. The office staff were friendly and helpful. I saw Doug and he was calm and easy to drive with. I had had to cancel my original appointment and reschedule, and both Doug and the office staff were understanding and helpful. If you have the option, I would say you should go here.

This place is awful. I used them once for my first daughter and it was okay but for my second daughter the instructors were rude and when I went to schedule the post class 6 hours of driving they made me jump through all kinds of hoops to get ahold of the instructors to schedule and then tried to charge me extra for losing a piece of paper with the instructors contact information. They were rude on the phone and at every interaction. Unprofessional.

After being bumped out of our previous class with another company without notice, I called Conahans and was immediately placed in a class that fit our daughters needs & timeline. Molly was kind, understanding and helpful. Very grateful for this excellent customer service!

I did take it personally when a car ran me out of the bike lane and proceeded for half a block dead center in the bike lane. 8th Street in Loveland is not narrow. Seeing that it was a Conahans driving school branded vehicle it almost made sense that I was almost struck by an inexperienced driver. What didnt make sense is the instructor never corrected the vehicle that was no where near in the lane of travel at all for several hundred feet. Ive had passengers grab the steering wheel when I was learning, so I know it works.I then watched as the car weaved back and forth but mostly hug the bike lane all the way to Wilson ave. There it waited patiently at a stop light with clear northbound traffic, until a large white 4-door pick-up was about 30 feet from the intersection and the students pulled out causing a near collision, but for ABS brakes and a skilled watchfull pick-up driver it would have been devastating.Proceeding northbound the reckless driver again failed to maintain any lane control very nearly hitting the curb multiple times. There is no bike lane on this stretch of road and I could only imagine if there was a cyclist dead ahead. Its not fair to use my imagination for a poor review, but the instructor did allow the student to come within inches of me while I was in a designated bike lane. Does he not know about the three foot passing law? Which is moot if drivers just stay in their lane.Now in the left turn lane the driver waited patiently for zero traffic at a green light again, I assumed they would wait for the light to change and use the next green arrow. No, driver waited until a large white 4-door pick-up was even closer to the intersection and then cut them off. This time it took skidding tires to keep from plowing through the vehicleI caught up with said car again on westbound Eisenhower, now returning to Loveland. When driver saw me I was greeted with a laugh and a smile. Almost as if the instructor had told a joke. Well if this is what can be expected from their services, the joke could be on you.This driver could have ended up in the hospital twice because the instructor did nothing in dangerous situations. I could have ended up in the hospital or worse being squished into a parked car, that thankfully wasnt there. I wouldnt trust my child to a company that apparently doesnt cover the laws, doesnt correct a car thats about to hit a cyclist and doesnt stop the vehicle from near collisions. But hey at least theyre funny.Just as I have witnessed the worst example of driving in 100,000+ miles of cycling today, I can also say other driving schools students Ive encountered over the years were exemplary drivers. Ive actually called MS to say just that.You might as well teach how to drive from a Grand Theft Auto game if this is the level of competence Conahans instruction offers. An insurance reduction for completing driving school wont matter much if the driver causes collisions or kills people from ignorance.

BJ was my instructor and he did amazing. He made the class interesting and he made me want to go to class. He was very sweet, caring, and funny but still very professional. I had a very good experience at Conahan’s Driving School.

Conahans has been excellent for our older son and very accommodating when we found ourselves in a time pinch (totally our fault) for his driving test. Well definitely have our younger son go to Conahans as well! Excellent experience - thank you so much!

Conahans is fantastic! Everyone I have ever spoken to there is always very nice and delivers superb customer service! They are very knowledgable about all aspects of the process from getting your permit through getting your childs license. They were able to fit the lessons around our schedule and always started and finished on time. Our daughter enjoyed the lessons and I have personally seen an improvement since beginning here. Highly recommended to anyone who need their services.

It was really cool to watch one of your instructors barrel through a crosswalk, not stop at the obnoxiously bright, blinking stop sign, and almost hit a pregnant woman, all just to get to the chick-fil-a drive though.

We have used Conahan’s Driving School for two of our teenagers. The classes have been worth while and the Behind the Wheel training gave them great experience in different driving scenarios throughout town. We will definitely be back with our two younger children in the future!

Jim was an excellent teacher for the in class training. He is able to relate well with teenagers, had interesting stories in class, and was extremely professional. Following the classroom teaching, passing the test was easy!

I took someone here to do their drivers test since they only had a permit at the time and needed a licensed driver with them. Turns out we were meeting at one of their instructors houses. I was not allowed to go with them for the test, which is understandable, but since they tested in the car I arrived in, and this was simply someones house, there was no waiting area. When I asked the instructor what I should do while they were testing, he very rudely told me to take a walk. I ended up sitting on the curb in the August heat while they were out. You would think they would have something figured out since supposedly every driver coming to get a test needs an adult with them. Even if it was a picnic table or something, making someone sit outside on the ground or telling them to take a walk isnt professional.

Driver’s ed class was pretty chill and helpful, you should do the class. Shout out to Jim, for being a dope instructor and an awesome dude! #Jim4Life

(Updated after owners response below) Twice Ive seen one of their instructors teaching students without a mask on. He wasnt adjusting it temporarily, just wearing it around his chin as he rode in the passenger seat. Windows were closed too. Given how many people he could expose in a week, Im disgusted and alarmed by this reckless and unprofessional behavior. Per the schools request, I called their office and they told me they were going to take this very seriously.

Great company and hidden gem. They worked with me through the whole process. I recommend coming here.

I am a former employee of Conahans and I have to say these people have gone above and beyond for their employees. They made us home made masks, provided sanitizer and wipes for each of us during covid. They always responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had. I highly recommend to any students or job seekers. Very good family owned company.

Molly and her team provided both my kids great instruction and even better service navigating the documentation that was required for my kids with an out of state permit to work through the system. Who knew one could have a 5 star experience even in a PT cruiser?

We had a great experience here with all the driving instructors. The class time for my daughters permit class room time and instructed driving time was very effective. My daughter felt comfortable to be out on her own and will be getting her drivers license very soon.

I have a hard time believing in the legitimacy of this organization. After I registered for a class they called back and shut down the class for lack of students. There is nothing on their webpage or in their literature that expresses this. I wonder if this a frequent and repeated action. I am not willing to risk registering with them again as it might happen again. They tried to sell me on their home DVD program as an alternative or they want me to go to Fort Collins instead of Loveland where I registered for the class. After speaking with them on the phone they repeatedly told me that this is the way of the world. Any college or university closes a class if there are not enough students. While that may or may not be the case this is no college or university. Even a simple apology would have jumped this review up a star but no such apology was forthcoming. I decided to try something different then Mountain States because Conahan was closer to home. Big mistake! Do yourself a favor and contact Mountain States.

My kids went through their company and we loved it. My kids told me that’s the instructors made them very comfortable. I would highly recommend going through their company.

My youngest struggled with passing the permit test & Molly went above and beyond to help her. I was very impressed and grateful she took extra time to make sure she understood the questions. All 3 of my kids went through Conahan’s! Highly recommended!

Detailed and good class

This place is a joke. Too expensive and their student car is a dirty Dodge neon that has a spray painted bumper and knocks and sounds like it’s going to die any second. The instructor was too busy admiring her lip fillers in the rear view to pay attention. Not worth your time

Perfect experience! The owners and instructors are fantastic.

Called to schedule an appointment for a drivers test a week ago and arrived at the agreed upon spot 10 minutes early. We ended up waiting until 10 minutes after the appointment was scheduled before calling to check in on the instructor. The person on the other line waited a solid 10 seconds before telling me they couldnt hear me and hung up. We waited a little bit before calling again only to be informed that the appointment was never put into the system. Not only that but they were completely unsympathetic for my situation. I will not be trying to reschedule with them again. I dont feel like wasting another another day only to be spoken down to for somebody elses mistake.

Great place to go had a fantastic experience

Our daughter is so traumatized after viewing numerous videos detailing tragic fatalities and vehicular homicides in the DE class that she is scared to even ride as a passenger in a car let alone get behind the wheel! I am extremely upset that we have invested $400 for our 15 year ols to be exposed to these excessive scare tactics that she was in no way emotionally prepared to handle. There is absolutely NO parental information/ permission/caution regarding the level of emotional trauma kids are going to be exposed to in this course which is unethical and not OK in any way! I will actively discourage anyone who will listen NOT to use this organization for Drivers Education!

Save your money and go elsewhere. My daughter is a straight A student and she came out of this experience not even understanding traffic signals. On top of that her driving instructor left her alone in the car (with the keys) twice during her driving time - once so she could check out a nail salon. This is illegal. Once her instructor dropped her off at the school parking lot 15 minutes early and left her alone there. Unacceptable. It was not worth the money we saved by not going with a different company.

Passed my driving test here right away. Instructor was very nice and was able to schedule my test right away. This place is a bit more expensive, but totally worth it.

Perhaps removing your drivers education sign before tailgating someone going the speed limit, glaring at them as you pass, and rapidly switching lanes without a blinker ( may be a good idea).

This school was great I learned a lot about driving and driving safety it was great, they are very highly professional teachers I recommend this place to go.

These ppl want to charge $65-$70 for a drivers test!! Twice as much as other places. Just want to take advantage of people I guess huh. Pathetic

They may or may not have good prices and be able to teach kids how to drive, but when behind the wheel themselves theyre terrible drivers. So many times driving around fort collins Ive been cut off, nearly rear ended and generally feared for my life by the obviously instructors driving decions. How do I know its the instructors? Theres only one person in the car

I cant tell you how many times I see the instructors breaking traffic laws - not setting a good example.

(I posted this review on their Facebook as well.) This is just my personal 2 Cents about this Business. I used Conohans for their Driving Test Service (so I cannot speak for their education or classroom courses with this review), which is a privatized way of getting your license instead of scheduling with the DMV. First, let me tell anyone who is interested in using this service-it costs $55 to do a Drive Test with them, and you still are eligible to fail. If you DO fail, Conohans DOES NOT offer discounted retakes- so you are required to pay them $55 more dollars to take the test. Something they neglect to tell you, is if you fail and retest- you of course will pay THEM for 2 tests, BUT YOU WILL ALSO BE CHARGED A $15 RETEST FEE at the DMV when you get your license.The sheer cost of this test makes my stomach turn, especially knowing theyre charging this to a clientele of mostly teens. The price is inflated, and is not reflective of the quality service they provide: I only dealt with one lady, and that was the Owners Daughter- she acted as the appointment scheduler and the drive instructor for both of my tests.When I called to schedule, she was friendly enough- but did not offer much information without being asked and pushed multiple times for me to schedule a test. When asked for more information she was VERY curt, and said Sorry, just REALLY busy here. and seemed inconvenienced by my questions.The vehicle you test in is an older model Chrysler PT Cruiser- the interior is not pristine or particularly clean. Which doesnt promote a comfortable environment for the test- it is also equipped with a Passenger Rearview Mirror for the Instructor AS WELL AS AN INSTRUCTOR BRAKE which the woman I tested with used on my first attempt without proper cause, IN MY OPINION, but that is a moot point.The test is very simple, odds are you dont need to practice what you think you need to. But one thing I advise is knowing Suburban Neighborhoods and their hazards, as well as being VERY aware at intersections. The test overall is fairly simple, but honestly its all about getting lucky and testing during a slow traffic hour- because if youre like me, and initially tested and failed because of other reckless drivers it can become a financial nightmare.So, once again: $55 PER Driving Test, IF YOU HAVE TO RETEST YOU WILL BE CHARGED $15 ON TOP OF THE LICENSE FEE OF $26 AT THE DMV. The reason this place is getting a low rating from me is the prices, which are quite honestly cruel and disgusting to charge to teen drivers. As well as my knowledge that they schedule probably over a dozen back to back appointments and likely make $700 a day off of License Tests alone.My recommendation? If you arent in a rush for your license, just schedule with the DMV- theres no added pressure with them and you can bring your own vehicle to test with if you do it through the state. Dont support this businesses inflated and unreasonable prices if you can help it.

I wanted to have my son be able to get his Colorado drivers license on his 16th birthday ( mainly because i did not want to have to drive him to all his after school practices etc.) Finding information online about the process for getting this accomplished was frustrating and time consuming. I contacted Conahans driving school and was able to actually talk to someone that explained everything concisely for me. What a relief! Because of our timeframe, I signed up for the 30 hour DVD course and 6 hour of mandatory behind the wheel drivers ed with a certfied Colorado drivering instructor. My son actually likes this course and it is extremely well done. I personally recommend Conahans driving School. My experience has been outstanding and the telephone support has been great! Thanks Conahans for making this a pleasant experience. I applaud your professionalism especially for my sons safety.

I would recommend, the lady was really nice, and it didnt seem like a scam.(Like some other places.)

Dont have your kids learn to drive from them. The dont know how to use there turn signals or get over for emergency vehicles.
