This is a great barn for private lessons whether you’re working towards showing or just personal growth. Either way, you’re going to learn a lot and continue learning! There’s no pressure to show if you don’t want to but if you do, they’ll make it happen whether you own or horse or not! Safety is the key focus for both horse and rider. During COVID, they’ve taken precautions to make the students and their families feel safe. Wonderful for all ages and riding experiences/levels. Very friendly, and encouraging atmosphere. They have two lighted arenas (one is covered), and one round pen. Arenas are always well maintained. They offer awesome summer riding camps that the kids really enjoy!

A great riding barn with excellent facilities, where the horses are well taken care of (not locked up 24/7 when not being ridden as other barns may do in order to protect the horse/their investment). The instruction is tailored to the rider, with semi-private and very often individual lessons to give the rider the attention needed to improve. There is a positive approach to teaching both the rider and the horse, whether youre just a mediocre rider trying to improve your riding a little or a talented rider looking to compete. The horses are genuinely happy (using objective factors looking at their behavior), and there is real attention to ensure their well-being from a physical and psychological point of view for the animal. Ive ridden at other barns in Europe and the US, and I feel Lone Star Sporthorses really takes the welfare of the horse and human into account first and foremost, all the while providing quality instruction and conditions to become an excellent rider.

Out of my many years of riding at various barns all over the area, I have finally found my barn home! The facility is so beautiful with an indoor and outdoor arena, a variety of horses for multiple different riding levels, and the owner is amazing! Great lessons with an open and honest atmosphere for any age and level! I will always recommend this barn!

We loveeeee this place! Our daughter Vanessa has been here for almost a year and her progress is impressive! She is the youngest at the facility, her trainers have been patient and awesome to her. She started very young at another facility that closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We are thankful that her trainers did not hesitate to accept her despite her young age. We are extremely happy with the service and we hope to see her show once she is ready! The summer camps are fun and the place is very safe for kids!

Leeannas been my daughters trainer for 5 years! I have always been impressed with her professionalism, intelligence and the care she provides for her horses and facility. Highly Recommend!

Love this barn and the instructors, very supportive and encouraging, I was with them for 8 years, they helped me get from being scared to even trot to jumping 26 in the jumper division at competitions, only reason i left was because of college. Horses are great as well!

I highly recommend Lone Star Sporthorses! The property is beautiful, atmosphere is professional and respectful, they have wonderful summer camps (that make me wish I was a kid again so I could do them), high quality lesson ponies and horses, amazing trainers and owners.

The trainers are friendly and super knowledgeable, they take lessons to further their knowledge and learn the best techniques to train horse and teach the riders. They keep the horses welfare at the forefront all the time.

I reached out to Leeanna on Instagram as I wanted to take a few lessons to relive my competition days when I was younger. Leeanna was more than happy to organize a lesson and was great at communicating what I should bring and what I could borrow. Leeanna was patient and calm with me during my lesson and helped me gain confidence on my first ride back. Lone Star Sport Horses is a very clean yard and has friendly atmosphere and from my experience, the horses are well looked after. I highly recommend this yard for beginners to intermediates and any one in between just wanting to take a few lessons like me.

Love Leeanna and the facility. She really helped raise my daughter during her pre teen and teen years! I couldnt be more thankful for the example and teachings she instilled in Townley! I believe it takes a village to raise a child and I have no doubts Leeanna made a positive impact in my daughters life! Shes grown up to be a solid, smart, strong, confident and brave young woman! I wish I had better things to say about this barn but I am tired of holding this back. Please take your business elsewhere. I am shocked at the level of unprofessionalism by the trainer/owner of this facility, Leeanna. Not only does she have the nastiest attitude in person, I am shocked at her online persona - public for every client to see. My child will never be attending a camp or lesson with Lonestar Sporthorses as I fear what these girls are telling young minds. Do I even have to mention the fact that the owner doesn’t believe in covid and instead believes in many conspiracy theories? It’s really reckless as the owner of a company that has children in groups to downplay the seriousness of covid.
