You feel so welcomed and comfortable no matter how much you know coming in. You can hear and see what is happening at all times. I have already recommended them to several friends and can’t wait to go back this week!

This is a really good place to start learning Salsa and dances like it, whether youre a single or couple. I took workshops with the company for months before the pandemic and finally decided to commit to a class. Two weeks into the class the world shut down. But good news, the company is now allowing us to redeem our missed classes. A total class act from what Ive seen.

I attended by first salsa class a month or so ago and it was awesome!! The class atmosphere was friendly and inviting. Both Heather and Beena were so sweet and made me feel comfortable as a beginner. The structure of the class was simple and not overwhelming, but still challenging. I will definitely go again and recommend anyone interested to check out classes!!

As a first time dancer learning this style, they work at a gente pace to make sure everyone is learning and are always available to answer questions. The Energy is high and positive! I started prepandemic, and it was shut down shortly after, and they are still satisfying their commitment to us...very classy. I love their energy and the pace as they teach new steps to us all! Thank you!!!!

Great studio for Latin dancing. The dance instructors are highly knowledgeable and equally supportive. Never took a dance lesson before until I found this place. With so many dance studios out there capitalizing on the Bestity of Latin dancing, I finally found a good fit for what I was looking for - fun place with small class sizes. Whether youre new to dancing or have taken lessons before, Heather the lead instructor is committed to helping each student reach their personal goals.

This is the place you want to be if you are interested in learning different Latin dance styles. From the time I walked through the door Heather and her team have been dedicated to helping me and others not only learn and perform, but also educate on style, technique, and history of Latin dances. They take their time with you, inside and outside of class. And just overall really great people to know. I love being part of the dance community, especially the Charlotte Latin Dance community (family).

I really enjoyed the Beginner salsa class conducted by Charlotte Latin Dance! Heather and the staff are so fun and energetic! This was my first formal dance class and while challenging it has been a great experience. I felt the class was very easy to follow and structured in a way to accommodate a wide range of beginner levels. If you needed help with a particular move, they usually offered the option to work it out with a variety of teaching methods. Each week is a new lesson with fun and challenging new moves and a review of previously learned moves. There is no requirement to attend classes in series, but you won’t want to miss a class. While fun and challenging the classes are a great way to relax and unwind after work. My only complaint is that the classes fly by so fast!

My wife and I have been taking classes with CLD for a couple years and we both love it. The instructors here are very knowledgeable but more importantly, great teachers. For all of them, dance is not just a job but a way of life. They adjust the class to the level of participants and can provide personal insights that really make the students grow quickly. The classes are a lot of fun and it feels like were meeting with family and friends every week. Well be sticking around for a while!

I arrived in CLT and wanted to make friends and learn something new. After my introductory 4 weeks I thought, well, that was a lot of fun, what am I going to do next? I signed up for the second class and then never left. Heather Greening and her instructors are professionals who are friendly and kind to everyone - AND they do things right. All lessons are progressive, carefully planned, practiced and honed - even friends with two left feet tell me the methodology used at Charlotte Latin Dance is flawless and made them not only learn, but thrive and enjoy. As for me - I found a family, I dance socially up and down the US east coast, and am glad to report I no longer step on anyones toes while enjoying my passion!

I have always loved Latin music, and after a chance dance encounter led me to learn a single salsa step, I was hooked. I contacted all the instructors in the area and described what I was looking for. They were all accommodating and many have become friends over the last few years. However, what set Charlotte Latin Dance apart for me was that Heather listened and seemed to understand what I was looking for better than others. I didnt want to be on a talent show or in competitions. I did not need further stress but instead wanted to learn to dance well, lead well, and be able to go anywhere in the World playing Latin music and feel comfortable asking someone to dance. My prior dance experience was primarily 8th grade, senior proms, and a few too many college New Wave clubs, so Heather had her work cut out for her. Within 2 months, I was going to social dances and dancing the few moves I had learned: this was awesome (a bit scary). Me: “Hello, I know two dance steps, would you like to dance?” A year later, I was dancing for fun all over the World. Korea, Argentina, …and even Chicago provided venues. Although the plan was never to Perform, I did try it after about three years. I learned a great deal in preparing for this. Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha-Cha, etc. became a massive part of my social life and dancing my primary form of stress reduction: FUN. Salsa became my Yoga, and I have Heather and Charlotte Latin Dance to thank for this. Their professional instruction and constant encouragement to try again and again was terrific. It took time and effort to master more complicated moves, but the process with Heather was not arduous but part of the fun. Not only did I need to learn the move, but I had to learn to lead it properly. The instructors at Charlotte Latin Dance are able to breakdown every move and show you in detail how to actually correctly lead/follow the move, even with someone who has never danced it before and is a novice social dancer. In fact, my personal goal while social dancing was to find the new people, those just starting on their Latin dance journey, and see if I could assure they had fun. Of course, I was also fine-tuning my leading skills! It is easy to lead an experienced super dancer, but a good leader can lead a novice while ensuring they both enjoy the dance. If a leaders partner is not smiling, having fun, and thinking, I look good, then the leader has missed the entire point; make your partner look good and enjoy the experience. If you have two left feet, want to dance for fun, want to dance to relieve stress, want to dance for exercise, or want to join a new non-judgemental social group then take the first step now and call Charlotte Latin Dance and tell them Randy sent you. You will not be sorry, and I will smile because I will feel I may have played a small role in making someone elses life just a little bit better.
