After touring all the available elementary schools in my zone, we both fell in love with Pelican...the staff, security and the comfort of the atmosphere! It felt like home from day one! We have thrived there and all the staff from the Principal to the Custodial crew is amazing! Everyone is friendly and not to busy to discuss any concerns or questions you may have, even just to say hello to you in passing. You genuinely feel as though you are family and known everyone for years! One of my favorite things about Pelican is the willingness that is displayed by the teachers to go above and beyond to make certain your child is not only learning but actually understanding what is being taught! I have no concerns that my child is just another number to them, every child is treated as an individual yet they are a family. It has a small town feel to it. I have not encountered one unpleasant thing in the 4 years we have been there. I also LOVE that there is only one way that is unlocked to access the office and they are very attentive to checking IDs for every visitor even if you are in the office every day and they know you!! Given the way of the world, security was a huge thing I looked for when choosing. I have been more than satisfied with the job they do. Parent pick up is efficient and they are very strict with the pick up policy they have of car tags being required before any child gets in a vehicle, I love that they have a great system. I noticed this year they also are tagging backpacks of students with which way they travel home from school, again above and beyond! Overall Pelican has exceeded any expectations I have had, I highly recommend this school to everyone!

If you are looking for a school with a warm climate, that is parent friendly, kid-centered and safety conscious then Pelican is your school of choice. Kids are active in their learning. They work together with partners, in groups as well as independently. Student teachers in their last year of college are often placed there because the teachers use current ideas as well as tried and true strategies to teach students.

I am a student who graduated from pelican four years ago and I have to say pelican elementary school made me the man I am today I own all of my future success to this school and my teachers if I ever had to teach at a school this would be my first choice. Keep bringing brilliant kids to their peeks and even further beyond.

Both or our children attended Pelican and it was excellent. This is a student centered and caring staff/faculty. They are dedicated to student achievement and focus on the whole child. I highly recommend the school.

I think this is the best school there is they treat you like family and every october there is the pelican spectacular and storybook parade its the best so if you are looking for schools i highly recommend this school i love it so much 5th grade is a little harsh but its still pretty nice this is a school that treats you like family and the same time like yourtheir child they take very good care of the children and at dismissal they make sure the chilren get home safely

They lost my granddaughter! Her first day ever of school, her first day of kindergarten – they put her on the wrong bus and lost her. When they finally found her they refused to take her where she was supposed to be

This is a great school with a friendly staff!

Kids get bullied and nobody cares.School doesnt make a stop to it. It is happening right in front of the staff and no1 cares.Open your eyes and see what is going on before its to late
