I have to withdraw an offer on a house because of this schools incredibly inadequate achievements of students. I will be damned if I would send my son to this farce of a school. preparatory ? What are they preparing them for? I think that would be...High School dropout....unemployment, welfare or crime. Doesnt the school board see this? Here are the figures for year 2016 - 2017PERFORMANCE GRADE SCORE.......F.....34 EOG MATH GRADE....F.....25EOG READING GRADE SCORE.....F....34......PROFICIENCY in subjects...level 1 and 2 are below grade level. TEST SCORE PERCENTAGE SCORING 2 AND UNDER....Math....65%....English/reading....50%....Science performance....30%......embarrassing. How about this gem...Number of students per 100 suspended short term....80....out of 100 students,only 20 will not have a suspension. Finally...ONE YEAR TEACHER TURNOVER RATE...48%...so basically one half of teachers quit after 1 year with these students. They are not leaving for money, they are leaving because students are out of control.....good job school board

The children come home starving. The UNCW staff needles to do better about that, especially for working parents since a small child has to be there over 8 hours!!!
