When we decided to enroll our daughter in the Pre-K program, it was the best decision we ever made for her. The teachers, therapists, and staff are beyond caring and gave her so much individualized attention. She finished the year with more skills and strategies than we ever imagined!As an Upper School teacher at the school, I knew first hand that the program was amazing but to see how happy my own child was at school was the greatest feeling ever!

We have had such a great experience at CLS! My son started here 7 years ago after jumping from school to school, trying to find the right fit. Its been amazing watching him grow emotionally and be challenged academically, all while thriving. His individualized plan, put together by the Specialist has assisted him with learning subjects he struggles with on his grade level. CLS has offered everything we needed, small classroom sizes, OT, speech, reading support, and more importantly, nurturing, patient, passionate teachers. The staff here are so supportive, it truly feels like family. We LOVE CLS!!

We started looking for the right school for our son when he was 4. We didn’t know what he needed exactly but we knew that he needed a customized educational plan and small class sizes. We knew we as parents wanted his school to feel welcoming and nurturing. Centreville Layton School has fit the bill for everything and so much more! He just started 6th grade and every year it seem we say this is the best year yet! Which is hard to say as every year is amazing. The time taken to make sure each class is not only on your child’s acedemic level but has modification for learning needs far surpasses any I have seen at other schools. All the supports, OT/speech/ Assistive Tech/ social thinking/ reading support/ full time psychologist, that are blended in your child’s day with push in and pull out based on need all make such a huge impact on your child’s growth. The value of all the heavy interventions in the early years are truly priceless!! Knowing that these same team members can still be there the day your child walks at their Graduation, that will be a monumental day! I could go on and on about the impact I feel CLS has had on our son and family! Come join our family, I’d love to meet you!

Our son started at CLS in 4th grade after struggling for many years in our local public school. He has reading challenges and often deals with significant anxiety and the behaviors it can trigger. While the public school is well ranked and had many supports on paper it was simply not able to keep up with our sons needs. As a result, he left third grade several years behind in reading and math, and struggling socially.The transition was difficult, but as a result of the extremely professional and experienced staff and faculty, we all learned to trust again and our son has thrived. Last year he gained over two years in reading level. But perhaps more importantly for him, he has also gained self confidence, self control and a wonderful group of supportive and loving friends and teachers.It is not possible to entirely describe how important CLS has been to the entire family. It is a wonderful place and we feel lucky to have found it.
