Customer service here is very poor. Branden, the manager of front desk, took pride in clarifying that he has other people waiting 30 mins. when I asked him if he would please pay attention to what I was asking and answer my question.

This location has been here forever i remember coming as a child and now 30 years later bringing my children. I am happy with the service and facilities

I love this place, and I have countless childhood memories of being here over the summers while growing up in Whittier. The summer camps that would be held each year were things that I looked forward too as eagerly as the holidays. I made tons of new friends each time I went, sometimes got to see schoolmates, and always got all the exercise that a kid who loved competitive sports could dream of. I would encourage every parent who has children to check this place out. I have no doubt in my mind that my YMCA experiences year played an huge role in helping me to development as a young man. Especially with regard to developing better social skills, and building relationships with others. Thank you to any long time YMCA staffers that may still be around from the 90s - and early 2000s! You guys are still a bright star that shines in my heart.

Great staff. My son has gone camp that was offered here in the summer and winter. He loves it and always asks about when the next one is.

Staff is very welcoming. Place is organize and clean. They also have a family locker room to accommodate the little ones after swimming.

Great place for whole family fitness. While the kids participate in their individual sports we parents can utilize the weight room or cardio equipment while we wait. Its a win-win!

Clean gym with a very friendly staff. There is a twenty-five yard lap swim pool & a warm water wading pool.Just joined & everyone is very friendly. The locker room is well maintained.

The water aerobics class is not an actual class but a play time. No structure, no actual exercises. Very disappointed.

I am sadly disappointed by this Y, was an outstanding place 6 months ago and before, but seems to be going more corporate. They use to have an outstanding staff and trainers. They had a new person take over and handle the location and let go of most of the people. Seems with this person they rather run the location down and let go of experience staff. My guess if they further this in about a year or when their lease runs out and they will only have the uptown whittier location left. I would not recommend this Y to anyone. Please check YMCA’s outside of Whittier. They hopefully are run more efficiently

Great place to start off working out as a kid in high school, thats what I did.

Love East Whittier YMCA! I can swim laps, lift weights, take aerobic classes, Pilates, Yoga and always a smile when I come in.

The Pool needs to be maintained more often I was told they clean it every day(dont think so) It looks clean form up top but once u get in its blurry water.
