White Plains School of Rock has been a great opportunity for my son to play music that he loves. He has really enjoyed learning the material in a non-stressful environment and has had opportunity to play live with other band members. They have handled Covid restrictions in the safest way possible, while allowing the band members to play in person together. He has had input in song selection in a variety of styles of rock music.

My son, Donovan, began teaching himself piano during the summer when he was 11 - when seeking out lessons for him, we found the White Plains School of Rock. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated Donovan as if he were already part of the school. The instructors spoke directly to him and inquired about his interests. From that moment on, we have been an active part of the White Plains School of Rock community. I cant thank this amazing place enough times, over the past 18 months, they have kept children *safely* singing, joyous and rocking through the pandemic. Our son, who does both vocal and keyboard lessons - has been in extremely diverse themed bands - Motown, Reggae, London Punk Rock and currently Lollapalooza themed. The school not only invests in developing these young humans as musicians, but provides historical context for the music encouraging them to continue to learn and become curious about doing their own research. It is an amazingly supportive community. I would recommend it to any child (or adult) who has a love of music and performance.

My son has been a student at School of Rock for almost 2 years. He takes private drum lessons and band lessons every week, and participates in their seasonal concerts. I can’t say enough wonderful things about his instructors. They are patient, knowledgeable and really bring out the best in the children. The school is well run and a lot of fun. We are grateful to have our son attend.

School of Rock is a great place for anyone who attends! The instructors are all very knowledgeable and caring and want all of their students to succeed. The ability to have so many resources at your disposal is immensely helpful. I have vastly improved my playing skills by taking lessons and being in the performance group! 🎶

A home away from home. My daughter loves her rock bands and lessons!! Very professional and fun rock music school. Also excellent performance opportunities.

My daughter has been taking guitar classes at School of Rock for more than a year now. School of rock has been the best place for her. The instructors are very receptive of her level and tailored the lessons according to her. Last year was COVID pandemic, the school has been extremely cautious about prevention and spread of infection. I could not have been more happier with the instruction and overall work culture at The school of rock. I will recommend this place strongly for anyone who wants to take guitar lessons. The school of rock is the best place to start.

Jeff Silverman, the owner and general manager, is well versed in the School of Rock world and provides outstanding leadership to his courageous young students and stellar staff of experienced musical instructors and assistant directors. The SOR program is fantastic for students ages 6 - 17 looking to improve and expand their musical chops, have fun, make friends, and create awesome and life-long memorable experiences along the way.
