The other commenter ‘Mitch’ pretty much summed up my experience as well. I went to school here fifth grade through eighth grade. It is a poorly funded school. They don’t have a cafeteria, so if you forget your lunch, you just starve that day. They were still using the 80s projectors instead of PowerPoint. The desks were super old and obviously recycled. Textbooks were old. Our gym teacher sat in a Rolling office chair and watched us run laps. Worst school years of my life

My child is currently attending NPA in the 2nd grade. He loves this school, his teachers and all the friends he has made along the way. I like that this school understands that each child has different needs and works with each child to help them achieve their full potential within their educational system. There is homework that needs to be completed daily. Does take some effort on the parents to help the child succeed? You bet! But what a great opportunity I have to be able to be a part of my childs educational process. I like that the front office people are kind and helpful. They try to know each childs name. The school tries to have activities that involves the families to help the parents get to know each other and become a community. Afternoon pick-up is neat and orderly, as long as the parents picking up their children behave. The teachers try to get the kids out to their cars as quickly as they can. I look forward to my next child starting kindergarten next year.

I have made so many friends at this school, and I am so sad I have to leave next year because they took out the 9th grade. I learned good life skills and also have found books that are amazing that I never would have read otherwise. I loved having choir, watching plays, and also seeing the art my siblings and others had created. I think this school is great, especially if you come for the experience.

Ohhh yup. This is the best school. I went here for a few years and i loved it. Come here for a good education and for teachers with a zest for life. Your child will learn life skills as well as the books.#Mr.C #ripcursive

I went here for 2nd grade, about the first or second year that this school opened. I dont remember any friends. I dont remember any amazing teachers or happy memories. What I do remember is the constant beratement by teachers, the school administration banning the use of all playground balls, the non-stop yelling between parents and administration at the very strict carpool pickup lane, the carpool admins physically hurting me when I wasnt following directions perfectly...I remember coming home every day for the last two months of school crying. Every day I woke up in tears. It broke my moms heart and she took me out of school for the last two weeks because it simply was not worth making me hate school over one horrible academy.Maybe things have changed. Maybe they havent. What will never change is how this school completely ruined my 2nd grade and how grateful I am that I left. Since leaving this school I have learned to love school. I ended up enrolling in Entheos Academy, Elk Ridge Middle School, and then Bingham High School. All amazing choices. I have graduated with a 4.0 and honors, and am now nearly finished with a Bachelors in CS at the U of U after which I will be working for Facebook in Seattle. I credit none of this to Navigator Pointe, the worst school I have ever attended.
