I called to ask if the airport flight school offered discount coupons for a free introductory flight for my son, Knowing it has been a thing since the early 70s due to having taken one myself, I even received the lesson at Brandy wine. I bought a log book from the front counter to start me off. Well Steve The aviation God that he is Said there was no such thing and he never heard of it. I looked it up on the web and it turns out it was sponsored by EAA Eagle Flights®EAA’s Eagle Flights® is a free introductory flight experience and informal mentoring program designed to welcome and encourage adults who want to discover flying, but don’t know how or where to take that first step. It begins with a hands-on introduction, where you’ll fly with a local EAA-member pilot who will let you follow along at the controls of the airplane to get a feel for what being a pilot is all about. After the flight, he or she can help you learn more about how to get involved in your local aviation community, including the next steps you can take on the path to becoming a pilot. The best part? The whole experience is free. No sales. No pressure. Just a whole lot of fun and education with a big take-home point: Your dream of flying is a lot closer than you think.I called back to correct my self as i miss quoted that it was from Cessna. When i told him who I was and he saidyour the guy that I got into the pissing contest with and hung up on me. He must be raking in millions form all the lessons he is giving to be able to act like a pom piss arrogant person. If you check the EAA website you can fined the closest airport and instructors.

Nice facility for CATS! Took the FAA knowledge exam for my remote pilot certificate there in June 2017. Testing room was distraction free and the proctor was professional and helpful. Nice restroom if you want to empty your bladder before sitting in front of the computer for a couple hours. Large lot out front with plenty of parking and fairly easy to get to from 202. Leave your phone in the car - can’t bring it into the testing room. They do flight instruction too if you want to fly a real plane, but for those of us afraid of heights it’s a great place to take the test so we can stand on the ground and fly our drones. I’ve recommended this location to a few people I’ve met who are looking to take the Part 107 exam.

Brandywine is a great and relaxed setting to learn how to fly! I started a little less than a year ago and just completed my PPL! The aircraft are very well maintained and the staff really make the school a great place to learn. The instructors are very experienced with a variety of backgrounds and depth of knowledge. They create a supportive learning environment and really cater to your personal needs and flexibility. I highly recommend if you are interested in learning to fly that you check it out!

I was a student here. I flew with 4 instructors. All of them are excellent except one, Matt, with whom unfortunately i flew most of the times. As a beginner you cant fly or can learn anything when there is too much wind and gusts, but he will make you take the class and basically he will fly most of the time and you will just be a passenger. This happened a couple of times for me, After that i tried cancelling the class when wind is high and sometimes as personal emergency. He is feeling like i am taking away his pay. It wont be fair on my side to fly and not learn anything. The manager Steve is one of the greediest and mean persons i have seen. He simply tries to change the topic when he faces the truth. HE CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD WITH OUT MY CONSENT. I had asked him not charge, no worries he will charge as many times he wants. No messages even after charging. Sooo cool. I am not sure how anyone feels if that happens to them.
