The Friday Performances are phenomenal. They give the performers a real experience of performing in a club setting that is professional with an audience. Its excellent and so fun for family and friends and most importantly the amazing young performers who are living their dreams.

An oasis for students...especially during this pandemic! The ability to rehearse safely, learn music they love with top notch instructors is priceless. Thank you SOR Boston!

The coronavirus pandemic has proven especially challenging for music students, I was nervous at first, I was starting a new class with a new teacher virtually, something I have never done before, but from the beginning my School of Rock, Music Theory teacher made me feel comfortable and welcome. I can see the progress I have made during the past six months, my teacher uses an easy way to learn and follow the curriculum. Thank you, School of Rock.

Im really impressed by how well the School is run, and how incredible all the teachers are at helping students build confidence and come into their own. What they do is obviously difficult, but they make it look easy. Its clear that the group running the Watertown School of Rock are passionate about music, teaching, and what they do, and Im grateful to all of them.

My daughter felt in love with the place and the instructors since minute 1, they are very willing to adapt and offer different strategies so kids can have fun and practice their skills. The fact that they form a band is a great way to practice!! we love this place :)

Review №11

Its the best music learning experience Ive ever had. I often go into my guitar lesson feeling like I havent practiced enough and not completely inspired, and I always come out feeling like its the greatest thing ever. My teacher is an inspiration and very motivating. And an amazing guitarist. And we play songs that I love.I just started with the adult band, and I can already tell that Im going to improve as a collaborative musician. The song choices are really fun and the other band members are very nice and also play at a very high level. Itll push me. Ive been playing a bit with a band at a different music school, and I can already tell that the school of rock band will be much more fun and educational.

This is the best all around music program in Boston! The programs for kids are amazing and the adult performance program is perfect for honing your skills and meeting great people who love music! The instructors are ALL incredible, I’ve learned so much in such a short time! I highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for professional training and a relaxed vibe.

A great atmosphere for developing young musicians who appreciate all aspects of rock music (hard, classic, progressive, alternative, etc) and want to learn to play various instruments through the music they love. The school offers performance band experience (in addition to private instruction) which has given our child the experience of rehearsing and performing live shows at local venues. Excellent staff; devoted and talented. Director, management and instructors truly care about the student’s progression, are open to feedback and most importantly, responsive to it.

Our kids went to School of Rock for the Beatles week this August. They are 13 yrs old and we are from Spain. They enjoyed the band instructors, both group practice and one-on-one sessions and learned so much. It was a challenge to talk about and learn music in English, even though they have a very good level of speaking and understanding, it’s always difficult to get used to an environment in another language. They practiced at home, watched all the videos and learned all of the songs. The final performance was very impressive and its was great to see them rockin out with other kids. I would recommend this program to anyone who has young teens interested in music. The staff were very kind and seem to have lots of experience with kids. It was a great week! Thanks
