We have been so happy with KinderCare Watergate. It has been a huge transition to return to daycare for our 2 year old after over a year at home. The staff and teachers have been amazing helping us through the transition. They are so loving. We are thrilled to have our LO there.

Watergate KinderCare is a wonderful daycare with truly caring and very gifted teachers and staff. We felt part of a family here. They have been very reliable throughout the COVID year, both from a safety and communication perspective. Both of our daughters (4yr and 1yr old) have seen truly remarkable development here in all aspects. The center is also very active in sharing these milestones on the internal app, which allowed us as working parents to feel closely connected all the time.

Wonderful staff - exceptionally gifted teachers. As a fellow educator, I am beyond grateful in the care, creativity and resilience they display each day. My daughter is miles ahead by now of where she would have ended up with me at home! And my sister who is a crafts teacher is in awe of all the projects they make.The one notable downside is that our daughter’s classroom has no windows but the move to the new wing at street level come October 2021 hopefully brings that DC sun in our classroom - would be nice for the teachers too!

If you’re looking for a childcare center that genuinely cares for the children and families, that provides consistent communication and updates, that is transparent and honest, and that is employed with amazing directors, teachers and staff, then Watergate KinderCare is the place to be. We could not have been happier with the time we had at Watergate Kindercare campus. Our three kids have thrived under their care and developmental approach. Added bonus for us is their support of military families.

Watergate East KinderCare has been an amazing place for our two sons (4 and 1 year old). After spending almost a year at home due to COVID, we could not have imagined a better home away from home for our boys. All the teachers are gifted professionals that have showered our boys with their love and affection. From the moment we walked in, we could feel that this would be a happy place for our children - turns out that it also became a happy place for us parents. The management team led by Ms. Ann is extremely dedicated and flexible, and truly caring. We have the utmost respect for how they navigate the complexities of running a daycare in the middle of a pandemic while maintaining an environment in which children and staff clearly feel at home and at ease. We cannot recommend Watergate East Kindercare enough!!!

My daughter has been at Kindecare Watergate Campus for over a month now and we love it. Everyone is beyond helpful and nice and I can tell just how much her teachers care for her. She is always happy to be dropped off, never cries, and sometimes even wants to stay when we go and get her. They send you pictures throughout the day as well as a daily report at the end so you know what is going on and can enjoy watching their day. You can also share the pictures with family.We were so hesitant to take her to daycare in general with COVID and worried about separation anxiety, but in the end its been amazing and we are happy to see her grow and develop with her new friends.

The teachers here are amazing! Our 2 year old has learned so much in the past year with KC.The administrators have also been really good about communicating the changing covid restrictions and procedures.Overall a really positive experience.

We highly recommend the Watergate Kindercare. We love their exceptionally supportive and flexible management team and loving and resourceful teachers. Together they have created a fun and rich early education environment.Our daughter joined Watergate six months after her daycare closed due to the pandemic. Thanks to the efforts of Watergate’s management team and her teachers, she transitioned really easily to her new school and class and adapted well to the new health measures the centre has in response to the pandemic.We have seen our daughter grow and develop through an organised set of fun educational activities. We have also witnessed how responsive the teachers and the management team have been to children’s needs and parents’ requests, especially during the height of the pandemic. No wonder children love their teachers and support staff so much.Watergate’s expansion of its space in the near future will help create an even better environment.

We loved this KinderCare! (We would have stayed had we not already made different long term childcare arrangements). Mrs. Kim (infant teacher) was so warm and energetic, and my little one was very happy around her. The team adapted so well to changes (a bunch of us dropped in after another KinderCare closed and at first it was probably overwhelming to them but they adapted within a couple days). Drop off and pickup is touchless. Entrance is in the courtyard (out of the wind and away from busy streets). No issues at all.

Every time my daughter comes home and I ask her “how was your day ?” She says “I love school :)” which makes me so happy.My husband and I were worried about her returning to the new school after a long time off because of the COVID. But the staff and the teachers provided a wonderful, caring, and safe environment for my daughter and brought joy and happiness to her again. Now my husband and I can freely work from home without being worried about our daughter.

Our two year old daughter is so joyful as she goes to school in the morning, joyful in the multitude of pictures documenting her day, and joyful at pick up. She has also learned a ton. It’s clear the Watergate East has a great team of teachers that make learning fun. The administration is cheerful, helpful, and super responsive. We feel very comfortable with the COVID protocols. With free garage parking, the logistics of drop off and pick up are very easy. We have had a great experience and are so thankful to have a wonderful environment where she can thrive with her peers and us parents can actually get some work done at home!

Conscientious, caring, clean... Our son has been so happy at KinderCare Watergate East, and is thrilled to be back with his friends following the months at home. Kudos to the team for re-opening in such a safe and thoughtful way. As always, communication is great, and getting updates and pictures through the app is so helpful and reassuring.

Weve been sending our (now 18 month old) son to this daycare since he was three months old and its been such a great experience. The Director, Kristi, is so helpful and responsive, and all of the teachers are knowledgeable and caring. We just returned after quarantine and the site has been very safe and clean. We are so grateful for the care they are providing our family!

KinderCare Watergate is absolutely amazing! The teachers try so hard and truly love your child. Teachers/staff who are not my little one’s caretakers know my child, her name, and her likes/dislikes. Even though we moved further away, we’re still sending our toddler there—we love it so much!

My son is a student at KinderCare and has a hard to adapting to a new environment, but his teachers Imani & Charmaine are amazing at making him feel comfortable their patients for him is great. The classroom is always neat and decorated with whatever the theme of the month is. One theme was on things that go; the teachers took the time to build a train out of boxes to enhance the students learning. The administration is caring and dedicated to any concerns or questions that you may have. I would recommend KinderCare Watergate if ever in need of care.

We have had a wonderful experience with this center. Truly dedicated and caring staff who love what they do. Our son gets so much love, warmth and attention and we are so confident in the care he is receiving. They do fun activities with the kids and have a nice outdoor play area. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this center to anyone looking for care for their child. We had toured a number of centers before picking this one and are so glad we chose Watergate East.

We are so happy with the care our child is receiving at KinderCare Watergate. The teachers are deeply invested in encouraging development, very communicative, and exhibit kindness and warmth toward every child in their care. The center leadership is very professional and personal, and proactive with communications, as well. As parents we especially appreciate the daily health + activity updates via an app. We highly recommend!

Weve had a wonderful experience with this center! Caring teachers that really go out of their way to provide a great experience for the children AND parents. Ive never once worried about my son during his time there. Pictures and videos are regularly shared and you are welcome to visit whenever you like. As my son transitioned to the toddler classroom his infant teacher called me to let me know how things were going to put me even more at ease. Really thankful to be a part of this special place.

We have had a fantastic experience at the Watergate East KinderCare center. Currently both of our children are enrolled in the center - infant and preschool classes - and every day they come home as happy as can be. Their teachers are engaged, thoughtful and focused on their development. Vallerie, Dawn-Nay and the admin staff are wonderfully transparent and open to feedback about how the center can keep growing. We love it here and highly recommend it to any parents that either work or live in the area.

The staff at KinderCare is really lovely. My wife and I sometimes worry that our son likes his teachers better than he likes us. Everyone is really warm, and they have lots of fun activities throughout the day. All the kids seem very bright and engaged, and our son has learned a lot from watching those slightly older than him (for better and worse!). All in all, we highly recommend KinderCare Watergate East.

Fabulous admin team and teachers! They made the back to work transition as smooth as can be. My daughter has a great big smile when she sees the teachers. As a parent, I also appreciate the efficient and continuous communication. I highly recommend the center.

My son has had excellent care at this center. The teachers have been wonderful and he even now expresses genuine excitement when we head to school. The activities are beyond my expectations for a day care and Ive been very pleased with KinderCare Watergate.

We’ve been so happy at Watergate East! We started in the infant classroom and once our son turned one and started walking he transitioned to the toddler room. Both experiences have been great! The teachers, admin, and staff are all so caring, and they go above and beyond in every way. They have an app that gives all the updates we could want, including lots and lots of adorable pictures. The teachers design engaging activities and lovingly help our son navigate peer interactions. The admin staff knows our son well too and has even called a few times when he’s been out sick just to make sure he’s doing okay. Watergate East is such a nourishing environment for our son; we couldn’t be happier!

We absolutely enjoy this center! The teachers are attentive and truly love what they do!!

Prior to finding Watergate East KinderCare, my family and I unfortunately had a few other experiences in other daycares that were not a good fit, but from the time we found this center, we have had such a positive experience. Heres why:Management: the management team on-site is amazing. Everyone is incredibly warm and welcoming, professional and responsive. As Executive Director of this location, Vallerie inspired confidence in my husband and I from day one - and she has continued to provide this level of engagement and enthusiasm throughout our time here. Even when I (as a new mom who was very nervous about any change) had questions about my daughters transition from the Toddler classroom to Discover Pre-School, Vallerie thoughtfully and helpfully answered each and every one - offering alternatives and suggestions that showed she was committed to finding what worked for our daughter. This willingness to partner with parents is invaluable.Teachers/Staff: we have absolutely loved the teachers both in the Toddler program where my daughter began and now in the Discovery Preschool class. They genuinely love my daughter and that level of care is hard to find. I also find that my daughter is learning and growing so much and is so excited to go to school everyday (as she calls it, at the age of 2) often listing out all her teachers names and her classmates as we drive in each morning. This is so reassuring to a working mom - I see how dedicated the teachers are to each childs well-being and growth.Location/Facilities: as a brand new site, you really cant ask for more in terms of the facilities. Everything is new and clean and thoughtfully tailored to the lives of little people. It is a great environment for learning and fun. Also for us, it was located close to a Metro which gave us the flexibility to drive (the parking garage is available for free 30 minutes at drop-off/pick-up ) or metro and walk the 2 blocks to the center when the weather is nice.
