My 5-year old daughter loved taking ukulele classes with Mr. Dudley. After only a few classes, she became very enthusiastic about playing music. The classes also gave her a lot of confidence. Mr. Dudley is super kind and has a very very nice manner. I highly highly recommend the school.

Great at engaing with kids and keeping them focussed and interested. From the first day, my son was excited about learning piano and even other instruments. The trial session was very smooth and the registration very easy.

I’ve had a really good experience so far with Charles Foster learning guitar. I was previously learning from online resources and felt my progress was slow and stagnant. As I have been taking lessons in person, I feel I’m progressing much better and find learning guitar much more interesting. I like that lessons are organized and have clear objectives. I also like that he teaches from the book, but also personalizes the lessons with teaching theory and new chords/songs that would be of interest. He also has a really enthusiastic and engaging manner when teaching, I never feel bored or uninterested.

Ive looked for years to find someone who could truly hear the music. Like the Barbara Streisand song says....Ive finally found someone. Daryl is that person. Many people can teach the piano and even play a few chords, but Daryl is a Master at it. He respects his instrument and is studied in all genres of music. Not only does he hear the music, but he can always establish the emotion behind a song just by hearing a few chords. This Academy has been a God-sent for our creative teen looking to learn music. The instructors are knowledgeable and maximizes the individual time they have with each child. My 14 year old is quite the introvert but he absolutely loves the instruction he gets from this music academy. He is already playing music and creating music in a six month period of time, he had no prior music experience. This Academy by far has surpassed our expectations of quality and leadership. My 14 year old describes his experience here as always innovative and fun.

Daryl Dudley at B Sharp Academy is a great teacher. I wasnt sure what to expect as an adult trying to learn piano at my age. Mr. Dudley listened to what I was looking to get out of the lessons, and my preferred learning method and he quickly took it from there. He teaches in a language that you can clearly understand. He has the ability to break down what seems to be difficult and show you the how and why in a manner that makes sense. The pace that he teaches moves forward not dwelling on previous lessons but shows you a different way to reinforce what has been taught. Ive only had a few lessons and Im much further along than I imagined I would be.

I have been taking piano lessons with Daryl Dudley for two months now, and Im loving my progress. Charles Foster, amazing musician and person, taught me guitar and music production for the last two years and Im so thoroughly pleased with my experience with him. Hes incredible resourceful and teaches not only what he thinks you should know but also takes into account what you want to learn which is really cool. Hes a really charismatic, amicable guy who really cares about his work and teaching. So much that he asks, Did you learn anything today? after every lesson–and i always did. After taking lessons with him (my last one is tomorrow), i feel way more equipped and prepared for college (Im going Berklee College of Music this fall). Also, I feel like Ive developed a cool enough relationship with Charles that allows me to ask him questions outside of our lessons and he definitely answers. very genuine and great teacher. i definitely recommend him.

My son began drum lessons last year and I absolutely love this facility and their approach. My son has NEVER stuck with anything (partly due to some developmental delays that he was born with) but he loves coming here every week. Daryl jr. is an excellent and patient teacher and my son is really coming along beautifully. He even loves to practice at home. I enjoyed B Sharp Academy so much that I began vocal coaching with Charles just last month and he has totally transformed me. This place is extremely professional and thorough. Ive had such a great experience with Dudleys B Sharp Academy. Ive always wanted to learn gospel/jazz piano but been intimidated to do so because of the complexity in sound. Dudleys B Sharp Academy has really been one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. I am an independent acoustic soul artist which we all know if never easy. I was formally introduced to the owner Daryl nearly a year ago by a mutual friend of ours. Daryl was instrumental in vocally preparing me for a recording session I had coming up that week. He walked me through dynamic techniques on a particular original piece I would be recording which was extremely helpful. Later in the year I was searching for another affordable place to complete my EP project. He introduced me to one of his premier producers/audio engineer Charles and we hit it off immediately, realizing that he was the perfect fit for my musical style. Ever since, we have been plugging away to bring the EP to life. As an indie artist, it is very hard to find people that truly believe in your vision. I have been going to this academy for 2 years now and have learned so much from my patient and understanding teacher Mr. Charles.

Our experience with B. Sharp Academy has truly been amazing. Its better than we ever imagined. We decided after wrestling with the decision for about 2 years that we would make the commitment to drive our son Ephraim(10) and daughter Ebban(9) to Washington D.C. every Saturday for lessons. We live in Baltimore County!! So we called Mr. Dudley and explained what we were looking for and scheduled their first lesson. WHAT A BLESSING!! Ephraim and Ebban are working with Mr. Charles Foster who has been awesome. He knew immediately each of their learning styles. They absolutely love music and learning and with Mr. Fosters passion, knowledge, and encouragement they are growing tremendously. We are amazed at the progress theyve made in less than 2 months. Their older siblings and family members were shocked to see them playing the piano, especially knowing that they play the saxophone. Again I was skeptical because he had lessons before in Baltimore and didnt like it. So his brand new guitar sat in his room for about 4 years. After his siblings piano practice we asked Mr. Foster to talk to him about the bass and he did with no hesitation. Not only did he talk to him he took the time to show him some things giving him a mini lesson. He was hooked after that!! I had him take a week and decide if he wanted to play, and at he end of that week to let us know his decision. He has now been taking lessons a little over a month and he is growing tremendously. He is really having a good time and enjoying his Saturday lessons. To see and hear him practicing at night is such a blessing ! B Sharp Academy is such a special place and I highly recommend giving them a try.
