If you value education don’t bother with this school, I’m serious. Don’t be fooled by the new building, avoid this school if it’s possible. There are other schools nearby that are better & just by looking at this school’s profile on the dcps website it shows exactly what this school really is. I honestly don’t know where the 3-5 stars are coming from, If I could rate this school lower than one star I would.-2018 Graduated Senior

I was able to tour the new facility after the excellent historic renovation & modernization. Very glad they reused the idea from the Wilson HS project to make the courtyard useful again. Now its up to the administration and teachers (and parents) to show what a difference they can make on the students and earn a star upgrade on my rating. Good luck!

I paid to have my transcript sent over to another school, the school stuff sent the transcript unofficially so I have been trying to get this corrected for the last month 1/2. The staff never returns calls, are very nasty when someone does actually answer the phones. They need better staff in the main office that can handle the call volume of a high school.

I am a substitute teacher who works there often. Many of the students are great to work with and the staff, administration, and security are strong. A very welcoming environment indeed.

I have read the reviews and the ones with more than 1 star must have be written by staff members because my granddaughter has been in the is school approximately 4 days and has already been threatened by students (boys and girls). How is a parent suppose to have any peace. When all they want is for their child to get an education so they can become a productive members of society. You cant teach students if you are afraid of them. You cant give the bad apples passes because you dont want to tarnish your schools reputation. We are loosing kids everyday out here because the lack proprietary initiative from our educators and city council members. They seem to be more concerned about the cosmetics of situation and not willing to get in an do the work to weed out the bad element and protect those kids that just want to get an education.

I attended a few night classes here many years ago during my senior high school days. The only thing I remember about this place was Ms. Whitfield, a kind-hearted, gentle, and patient teacher who taught us English and Literature.

The students from this school are rude and disrespectful. They push adults out of the way to get on the buses then want to curse you if you say something. One girl wanted to fight me and Im old enough to be her grandmother.

Worst school Ive ever been to. Quite possibly the worst in the city.Teachers would rather talk to the roamers(kids who walk the halls all day) than teach those who actually want to learn.Security treats them like celebs, instead of sending them back to class. The staff always seems like the wish they were somewhere else, perhaps in front of the TV where they usually are...Student are nasty and rude with NO home training, no direction, and no desire to respect anyone-including themselves.

It is the worst school in terms of organization of the degrees, many students without degrees or time is more some did not appear in the system, that means a lot of the direction is very bad.
