I absolutely LOVE this school for my little girl. The teachers and students have been kind and the school teaches the girls to form bonds (sisterhood) and work together. They were even able to work around her food allergies during mealtime. I have not witnessed any after school fights or nastiness. I honestly have no complaints.

My daughter is new to school and so far I like it. I love her teachers Ms. Moskwitz and Ms. Foreman. They are great communicators. My daughter loves them as well. I can tell the peace thats within the class due to when she expresses herself at home. The school is clean anytime Im there. Ms. Brittney that works in administration is a great communicator as well. Were always greeted respectfully and with a smile by the staff. I have no complaints thus far. Thank you Excel Academy.

This school is nowhere near amazing let alone okay. This school has put me through so much hell this school has made me depressed, I would not let anyone I know come here. This school drains you of all your energy and will not help you to become great. Choose better than here.

I used to go there the teachers were respectful and it was a good lunch and you was able to have seconds the lunch when everybody ate. Fun celebrations it was the best.

This school is definitely not worth it. The first sign for me should have been the banner they have on the front of the schools. Didn’t even bother to cover up the old “Birney School” sign. Secondly, the principal there, Mrs. Crooks, is a piece of work. If she attempts to undermine the parents I can only imagine how she treats the staff. One day my daughter class was short, I asked her teacher where is everyone. Mrs. Crooks was taking all the problem kids and putting them up stairs so that they wouldn’t interrupt the inspection they had going there. It was some performance in class study the board was doing! My daughter was deemed as one of the good kids, but I honestly was so annoyed and disgusted they did that as if it was my child. Like what message are you sending the girls??? That is how the bullying starts and/or jealousy. And honestly those kids she pulled out aren’t bad. I’ve went chaperone a field trip, bright smart girls, they just need to reminded every now and then.The school also have a security problem. When I first got there, I was able to get through security, to the back with the kids and walked my child out the front door with a single person asking for my ID!!!! Now they know me, however, just because my child runs up to me don’t assume she is mines. Additionally, the purpose of the front desk is to ensure only approved parties are allowed to go to the back with the kids and pick their child. They did resolve the issue.I absolutely love her teachers Mrs. Haynie and Mrs. Mosiwok (probably spelled her name wrong)However, some days the school heat works, other days it doesn’t. Not to mention, academically the kids are behind. If you are considering this school. (RUN) run runnnnnnThey have great teachers that truly care for the kids, but I Have nothing nice to say about that school. The staff can’t probably run the school if they aren’t given the resources. The lady with the blonde hair is very pleasant and nice as well. But if you want your child to go a diverse school, and great education EXCEL IS NOT THE PLACE.

My kids hade went there since it first had opend and it is a good school now that the principal ms.johnson has been gone More activities and other things
