The daycare has been sent from heaven. The staff is so loving and made it comfortable for me to drop off me baby since my daughter was 8 weeks old.

We really love PQ Kindercare. The teachers and staff clearly care about the kids and making sure they have a loving and positive experience each day. Even during COVID, the teachers and staff have kept in touch with us to check in and see how our child is doing. They have made a significant number of changes to their operation to help ensure safety during COVID as well.

Excellent daycare! We couldnt have been happier with the experience for both of our children. The teachers and administrators truly care about their students and work hard everyday to provide an environment where every kid looks forward to coming in to learn and develop.

We are so happy with our decision to send our infant to KinderCare Penn Quarter. We looked at a couple of other daycare centers, but KinderCare was the only one we felt completely comfortable with! The curriculum, even for babies, is fantastic. We laughed when we had a parent/teacher conference when the baby was 4.5 months old, but it was incredibly informative and gave us a real sense of our baby’s development. We could also see her teacher really knew what she was doing and about child development. This center places a high priority on the safety and security of the children and staff—from secure entrances to safety drills, and everything in between, we feel assured of our child’s well-being in their care. Another area in which this center rose above others was in the food they serve the kids. The meals are healthy and well-balanced. The teachers and staff clearly love children and their jobs. I have watched teachers work with parents to help a child who may be having issues in one area or another (socialization, sleeping, eating, etc). There is free 30 minute parking in the garage next door/below the center, so pick up and drop off is easy! Since I can’t stay home with her, I feel lucky to be able to send my baby to a place where she is so loved and well-cared for. I highly recommend this center to any parent!

Our family has two children at Penn Quarter KinderCare and we truly enjoy the center, the teachers and the administrators. Everyone has been so welcoming to our children and helpful to us as parents. Finally, the physical facilities are clean and well kept with plenty of space for the children. The location is well situated for outdoor play at the sculpture garden and the national mall. Excellent option for families living or working downtown.

Weve had our 18mos old at Penn Quarter KinderCare since she was 10 mos old. She loves it. Her teachers are terrific. The transition from the infant room to toddler room was seamless, due to the staffs attention to building relationships with her new teachers early. We couldnt be happier with our choice in childcare. Additionally, the administration of this center is the best weve experienced in any of the facilities weve used for either of our kids.

It is an excellent center, the principal and the teachers take care of the children with love and excellent service. My daughter was very happy during her stay in this center, it was a home for her. She still misses his teachers and friends.

My LO had been going there since he was 2mo, he’s almost 7 months now. I had seen how much he had leaped in his development as soon as the first week. He’s loved and well taken cared of. His teachers are fun and nice and caring. The center is very well run and clean - you will get updates throughout the day on everything from diaper changes to food and naps and activities. There had been only two cases of HFM in the 5 months we had been there and they took care of it so quickly and efficiently no other kids had picked it up. Would highly recommend this center and hoping I don’t have to move far so my son can co tinue attending.

My 5-month-old daughter was one of the first students when this Kindercare center opened in 2018. I truly feel like she would not be the advanced, thriving little girl she is today if it werent for the care she received during her first year, spent at this center. I trusted her infant room teachers completely and they never let me down -- as I had friend after friend complain about their kid constantly getting sick from daycare, my daughter didnt have her first illness (not even a cold!) until she was over 12 months old! I eventually had to move her to a daycare in the suburbs because of the cost (the center is not overpriced for the area; its comparable to any other facility in downtown DC), but I wish so badly I could have kept her there.In fact, when I found out I was pregnant again, one of my first emails was to the director of Penn Quarter Kindercare to make sure my son would have a spot in the same teachers class that my daughter was in regardless of price. I couldnt imagine him getting as good of a start in life anywhere else. My son has been there now for about a month and I can already see him advancing so much, and I can see the care and attention his teachers pay to every single child there.

My infant daughter has been at Penn Quarter KC since October. As a first time parent, leaving your child can be nerve racking. We lucked out with this location though. You can’t beat the hours of operation and so ince day one we’ve felt like part of the KC family. We have nothing but great things to say about the office team and her teachers. I’ve even recommended this location to strangers that I’ve met in our neighborhood. One of those familes actually enrolled their son 2 weeks ago. I love the tadpole app and look forward to seeing my daughters photos from her baby day. My only challenge that I have that they can’t control is parking. They do provide 15 min parking in the parking garage next door for parents during normal pick up and drop off hours. With an infant, I just find it hard to do everything in 15 mins. Often times I just street park, there is almost always spots available.
