We had a great time this past week with Erin as our guide. Our girls were trying out horseback riding for the first time and I just can’t say enough about this farm. So family oriented. Thank you for accommodating us and allowing us to enjoy such a peaceful ride with your sweet horses! ~Nadia~

Can not say ENOUGH great things about Happy Trails, the owners and the camp counselors. My son started at Happy Trails as a camper at age 6 . That will be 9 years!!!! I was initially super nervous obviously, but never had a bad experience. My son has grown to love horses and is now a camp counselor there whenever he is off from school.Small businesses, such as Happy Trails, do their very best with customer service, and Happy Trails is stellar at this. This is a place your child can get to know how to car for animals, how to tack a horse, groom them.. these are responsibilities and building of essential character traits that will stay with them throughout their adult life. These educational duties are just part of the day, ... games and fun activities.I can not say enough about Happy Trails having seen my son grow and love Happy trails, their owners and especially the horses.its a place where kids can be kids, be outside, get dirty, learn, love and appreciate nature and animals in a safe fun environment.

This farm is so nice! We had my daughters birthday party at Happy Trails. It was her first time riding and they were very patient with her. She and all her friends had a wonderful time! The farm is very clean far as farms go. The horses were well trained and cooperative. My daughter said it was the best party shes ever had! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I went for a trail ride one week ago. We both have been riding before but I wouldnt say we have a ton of experience. They put my husband on a horse and said she was tough at the mouth and also told us that she does not like any other horses and kicks. Then this horse ended up at the front of the trail line and we were told to keep distance. It did not exactly made my husband or I feel comfortable. The two young ladies were nice and they tried to make sure we enjoyed it but they were inexperienced with this company. They both said they have been riding their whole lives but only worked there a few weeks. The young lady who ended up leading our trail ride had never done that before and did not know the trails. She kept asking the other trail guide what time is was and which way to go. It felt like they were walking us in circles to pass the time. The trail itself was not that great and was narrow through the woods. I kept banging my knees into trees. My horse did not want to be on the trail and kept trying to eat any chance possible. My hands were sore from trying to pull her up from grazing by the end. She seemed to be walking slow, like she was hurt but I could not figure out what was wrong. Then at the end of the ride one of the ladies said that she did not have her shoes on and that all the rocks and stones were probably hurting her sensative feet. Again, the two young women were nice and they tried but we probably wouldnt return for another ride.

WOW - I absolutely loved riding here. My husband brought me here in February and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Our guide Cera was extremely professional, friendly, kind and personable, and the rest of the staff also made us feel very welcome! :) The horses are just gorgeous :), the trails are in beautiful woods, and theres also an arena for lessons. I 100% recommend coming to ride here! Whether youre a beginner, or an experienced rider, there is a horse waiting for you at Happy Trails Farm :)

We had such a good time. The staff was very attentive and patient. Our familys ages were from 6-64 and everyone. The ride was a good length of time. The trails and a few small ditches and hills so that it gave a bit of excitement over just flat riding. We will definitely go again.

I would like to take this opportunity to let others know how much my Granddaughter and I enjoyed our time at Happy Trails Farm. Matt made us feel at ease from the beginning. We did not feel rushed at all. He explained and pointed out to us the points we needed to feel comfortable before we saddled up to begin our ride. He was very engaging. He did this all with a smile on his face. Even though he has done this many times before. Chloe shared her knowledge with us all through the ride and answered all our questions. Both offered us their patience and provided us with a Beautiful ride through the trails. We had a great time and this in turn provided my Granddaughter and I with a lovely memory.

Not a great experience overall. Mounting wait time was too long - horses became hot and restless. Unprofessional staff, except for Amanda and Tiffany who were super sweet and very helpful. They tried really hard to compensate for the others unprofessionalism. The trails were too narrow (legs kept scraping the trees) and lack scenery. The horses kept stopping to graze as they seemed fatigue and hungry. I do not recommend riding at Happy Trails if youre hoping for a good memorable experience.

Sarah was an amazing tour guide. She was helpful and patient . I was terrified to be riding a horse and the host made me feel at ease with her knowledge of each horse. I would definitely go back again!

I wrote a 1-star review about a year ago due to a bad experience. Almost immediatly the owners reached out and offered a free ride for me and my wife. Unfortunately haven’t been able to be back, but I appreciate so much the way the owners handled the situation! They definitely didn’t deserve a one star review. So if anyone is looking to go riding here I would definitely recommend!

This is a long review but worth the read! We visited Happy Trails today for the hour trail ride for our 1-year anniversary because I love horses and have been begging to go on a trail ride for months. I have some experience with riding horses but my wife does not. We pull up and got out of the car and was welcomed by a young girl, Audrey, and keep in mind this is a 14-year-old girl. We saw another lady with the horses by the barn, didn’t really say anything to us. Audrey brought us a paper to sign and after that we just stood around for a bit not really knowing where to go or what to do. Audrey brought us helmets and told us to wait by the barn while they got the horses situated. You could tell one of the horses was antsy because the woman was having a tough time with him wanting to go back into the barn which made me a little nervous thinking β€˜well is he going to have this much trouble on the trail?’ I told Audrey that my wife had not rode before so she was a little nervous and they put her on an old Clydesdale. They let it be known she had some problems with her and was extra slow so there was no need to be worried. Audrey told my wife to pull back to stop her, and pull the reins left and right to guide her. They gave no additional direction on how to ride. Just put her up there and kind of expected her to know what she’s doing. At this point in time the adult woman – who we still don’t know her name – has said nothing to us nor really acknowledged us, Audrey was really doing all the talking. I got on the second horse who hadn’t really been listening so far. We head off to the trail, Audrey leading my horse and my wife riding behind us with the lady leading her. The lady had made a few more comments about the Clydesdales injuries saying there was nothing to worry about. We get into the woods and the lady leaves and Audrey is still leading my horse and I think to myself, β€˜okay again your just leaving people on horses who have no clue what they’re doing?’ She notices a few steps later that the Clydesdale is limping more so than normal so calls the adult back over to look and they decide to walk us back to the barn and switch the horses. My wife gets on a different horse. I notice when my wife gets on the saddle slides down to the left so she’s sitting kind of sideways on the horse, having just a little bit of knowledge about riding I know this is because the saddle wasn’t as tight as it should be, and instead of fixing the height on the stirrups the woman turns them sideways so my wife’s foot is resting on the side of them instead of the bottom-which is how your foot should be. I think due to that when she got off she was complaining about knee pain-which really isn’t a common issue from riding. This new horse is apparently β€˜temperamental’ towards my horse and has a β€˜bad attitude’ so they tell me to try and hang back a bit to make sure she doesn’t kick mine while on our trail ride, which I personally didn’t really have a problem with but if you know the two horses have bad history together why would you let it be known to your customers and second why would you take them on a trail together? If I had no clue of how to ride how would I know how to stay back far enough? The rest of the ride went fine. Audrey lead my wife in front and I followed behind. The whole reasoning behind this long rant is that the ride itself was nice. Again, I love horses so I really enjoyed myself. The whole situation has made my wife not want to go to another barn let alone get on another horse for a long time. Audrey was AMAZING! She was polite, kind, and reassuring to the best she could be. It was just a little alarming that a 14-year-old was running the show when the ADULT barely spoke and caught an attitude about the Clydesdale having issues. You would think after all of this they would have offered some sort of discount or something but nothing. They asked for our payment and encouraged to leave a tip. We will not be returning to this place and I hope if youre a first time rider you reconsider.
