Im telling ya, I have never experienced school pride before lIke i do here. It has been always individual achievements at other Schools. I have tried many different disciplines of martial arts and Jow Ga Kung Fu has everything I have been looking for on my warriors quest I started many years ago. My only regret is finding it so late in life. I have been going here Going on 2 years now, I highly recommend this shool. The school covers practical fighting skills, traditional forms similar to the ones you would see in Kung Fu flicks, more weapons than you could learn in 7 lifetimes aaaaand traditional Chinese culture with the lion and dragon dances. My kids go here and it has been equally enjoyable for them (ages 7 and 9)

I really respect Jow Ga. Both my cousins and my siblings and I attended classes here, my cousins extensively, my siblings I for about half a year or so in HS. It was a really friendly, easily digested experience, and what I learned there stuck with me. Sifu Lee is an experienced teacher. Recently I revisited then to purchase some supplies for my continued martial arts and Sifu Lee was as helpful, knowledgeable, and prepared as ever.

I started studying with Sifu Lee in the early 1990s. After 20 years I have only started to scratch the surface of Jow Ga Kung Ku. Master Lee allows you to go as quickly or as slowly as you are able. After you have been at the school for a while, he will see your dedication and you will be allowed to take on more responsibility, including teaching and performing with the Dragon and Lion teams. Sifu Lee is from China and he is definitely the real deal. He is the co-founder of Jow Ga Kung Fu here in America. Master Lee and Dean Chin started the first Jow Ga School in Washington D.C. in 1968. It was named Lees Kung Fu and Karate School. The reason for Karate in the name is due to the fact that very few people had ever heard of Kung Fu back in those days. It is hard to imagine that Kung Fu was not well known back in the 1960s, but this is before Bruce Lee and before the Kung Fu TV Show, so Kung Fu was only known in a few small inner circles. Master Lee changed that. Sifu Lee decided to allow anyone to learn Kung Fu. Master Lee has been called a “living legend” and he was honored by the U.S.A. Wushu Kung Fu Federation (USAWKF) as “outstanding master” in 1998. He was also inducted into the USAWKF Hall of Fame. Master Lee’s story was featured in the April/May 1999 issue of Kung Fu magazine. If you want to study the real thing, this is the place to do it.
