If I could give zero stars on this I would. Please read, it’s worth it if you’re considering going here. This is THE worst trucking school out there. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time. My boyfriend went here and all they care about is making money off of you. Oh, you have a family emergency and need to reschedule? Guess what, you get to pay for that “extra” day. The teacher my bf had was on his phone constantly and never paying attention to any students. The only place you can test is Gardena, and the people that bring the trucks aren’t even the ones you train with, not to mention they bring you a different truck than they trained you in. My boyfriend failed the first two times because of issues with the trucks, first time because the trucks had no wheel chocks, and the second time because the truck didn’t have a vault meter gauge. The people they send with you seem to be TERRIFIED of the people working at the cdldmv because they won’t even ask why their students didn’t pass because “it’s not worth arguing”. My boyfriend went with SPCDL who he found through Instagram. The guy spent 8 hours with him 3 days before his test and 2 hours before his initial test, he passed with flying colors and the lady testing him was amazed with how easily he did everything. (Mind you with universal you have to have 32+ hours). Once again this place isn’t worth the time nor money, not to mention the ladies in the office making sure the men know they’re available.

Amazing trucking school. Highly recommend this school. I passed my test on the first try thanks to everyone here at this school. The staff and the instructor Mario are the best. Had an great experience.

Patricia and Veronica were very nice, veryconcise and had all the information and details I needed. I was able to get in and do the paperwork I needed.Im looking forward to working with them. Universal I appreciate all your work.

It a great school with a great istructors, Mario is the best everything is depends on you haw much you want to get the linces. I took my linces. Thanks to the instructor, the girls from the office they are very nice and it helps you.

I want to start of my saying thank you to Patricia, Veronica who working the office these women are very polite and patient with all the students they have and all the persons walking in that are full of questions...When I 1st looked into getting my class A license I was very skeptical that I would be able to accomplish such a big goal. I saw it as something I didnt think I could accomplish. Both because of my financial situation the whole covid 19 going on and I didnt have any type of experience...But on February 11th 2021 I am happy to say that I passed my CDL Class A driving text all the exams they gave me at the DMV on my 1st try. And its a great feeling...I want to start of by thanking Julio/Oscar my 1st Teachers for starting me off helping me do all my maneuvers, learning all the right angles, when to stop turning the wheel, helping learn all the air breaks and components.. Having the patience to teach not only me 2-4 hours a day but also having time for the other students. They always had time for me never left any question unanswered they had all the knowledge to answer any question I had..Finally I would like to thank so much my last teacher Mario, such a great guy and excellent teacher, Mario showed me all the key points of the air break exam, the components from the air break there names what they do, how to check if they are working correctly or not... He showed me how to break down the truck by sections, he showed me what signs to look for when there is a problem with the truck.. He had so much patience when we went on the road, if I made a mistake he didnt yell at me or made me feel bad in anyway, he just pointed out how to correct my mistake. When I was in school with him he always asked me what I thought or what I wanted to work at, that is one of the best things a teacher that ask what you think you need, not what they want to teach you... Mario made sure and help me really learn all the pre trip exams for the out side. Quiz me over and over again until I got them all correctly I loved that because he made sure I was prepared for the DMV...I want to thank Universal Trucking School for all there time and guidance helping me get my CDL Class A license.

Thank you Universal trucking..I got my license yesterday thanks to you..the girls in the office are so nice and professional and make the whole process easy ..especially Patricia ..and the instructor Julio is also the best,, he tells you everything you need to know and tells you how to do and say everything ..you just have to want it ..thanks all . I want to start off by saying that I wish there was more then 5 stars to give. Veronica and Patricia have taken very much well care of me since the first day I spoke to them. I reached out to them explaining the situation I was going through and they did everything in there power to get me in and quick test date. Will highly recommend. Thank you again!

The Upland Universal Trucking School is fine. Veronica / Patricia were really helpful and tends to your needs! The instructor I had Julio was 3/5 In terms of helpfulness / Instruction Giving.The MAJOR problem I had was testing. The truck you practice with @ Upland Universal is NOT the same truck you will be testing at the DMV. I was told the 2 Trucks Practice / Test Truck are identical however they are NOT. What you learned on the truck at Universal Upland will NOT translate to the DMV testing truck. Different Truck & Trailer.The truck brought to the DMV service horns did not work, the mirror brackets are mounted improperly making it impossible to adjust to see both sides of your trailer perfectly straight down, The Valve Pop-Out did NOT pop out @ 20-45 PSI.

This place needs to be shut down. 😡 very, very, very, unprofessional trucking school 👎👎 Ricardo the owner will just take your money wish you the best of luck. Instructors are horrible trainers. The vehicle you practice in is not the same vehicle you take your test in and no one seems to think that makes a difference.!!!

The people there were very helpful and friendly. I learned a lot and was able to get my cdl fast. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get their cdl. Also the price is a lot cheaper than the other schools around this area.
