I’ve been teaching at DMS for 10 years. It’s been a great place of employment. The administration is a pleasure to work with and students are generally respectful and diligent.

The staff at this school hate to answer the phone and make smart remarks to parents. the school does not and has not lived up to there no bully rule. the principal clearly does not know how to run a school properly. although this school is not a very good place to send your child(please dont) there are some very nice teachers here such as my former math teacher Ms. brazil.

Both my children attended Dutcher. Although some of the staff were great, their policies on bullying were inconsistent. My daughter was being tormented by a student and my wife made numerous trips to the office to talk to the principal and the vice principle. Nothing was ever done. So my son saw this kid hit his sister in the back of the head, and my son hit him back so hard he knocked the wind out of him. My wife was called to the office to pick up MY son for fighting and HE was suspended for 2 days. MY wife told my son, Thank you for protecting your sister! Now lets go get 2 days work from your teacher so you wont get behind. The kid never bothered my daughter again. Sadly, racism is still alive and well.
