My daughter has been taking piano for 3.5 years and she has developed more than just the knowledge of playing piano. She has developed a love for music, especially classical. Her teacher challenges her but also makes it fun too. We also really appreciate the flexibility of the weekend makeup classes. They offer voice, guitar, drums, etc. and she has enjoyed trying out different instruments.

Our boys love the Musical Ladder system! They are able to set goals and when they meet them they are rewarded. What an awesome way to get little ones to learn how to love learning how to play music!

Our daughter has been taking lessons here for three years and still going strong. Its not only a place for kids (and adults) to take musical lessons but more like an environment that nurtures creativity. Other places will turn your child into a mindless instrument playing machine. This place gives artistic minds a giant playground to explore, create and grow. They allow students to not only hone their skills on their instrument of choice but also gives them the opportunity to write their own songs, try other instruments, showcase their talents at different venues in front of different people. The teachers here are awesome and talented. The director, Mrs. Lee is great! Shes approachable, reasonable, sweet, generous and caring.Bottom line, I highly recommend Torrance Arts Academy!

The teachers at Hills Academy are fantastic; each has a passion for their craft and they truly care about your children.My two daughters (ages 9 and 11) have been taking a variety of classes here since they were toddlers. They’ve studied piano, ukulele, private vocal lessons, group choir and guitar. They also really enjoy the art classes.The recital program at Hills has helped my daughters to become more confident not only with performing but at school/in the classroom as well. I am thankful for this school, particularly the after school program which has provided my girls a home away from home while their parents are at work.All the stars for Hills Academy!

Ms. Lee, the music director has brought out the best piano in my child. She runs the academy with emphasis on developing individual talents. In addition to class curriculum, the academy provides outside development experiences; and. Lee planned and organized a recital performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City in June. My wife and I highly recommend the academy to prospective students.

Hills Academy is an extraordinary place with excellent teachers and staff! They are always so patient and friendly. The teachers are very knowledgeable and have extensive background in music. My son and daughter love going to their weekly piano lessons at Hills Academy. They have learned so much, and their love for music has increased tremendously! We are so lucky to have found Hills Academy! I would recommend it to anyone!!

TAA does it all, and does it fantastically. My daughter is in Kindergarten and she gets picked up every day from school. She does ballet/tap, art 3x a week, singing, and also does private piano lessons. When she is not taking a class, she is getting her homework done and I love that everything gets taken care of before she gets home. As a full time working mom, not having to scramble to shuttle your kids between lessons is so invaluable. On top of that, all of the teachers are so nice. We love TAA!

My 3 children have been taking music lessons (piano, drums, and piano/voice) at Hills Academy for 4 years. We drive nearly 40 minutes from Manhattan Beach and its well worth it--its like a home away from home with friendly teachers, receptionists and the organized, caring, highly talented owner Jane Lee who goes out of her way to make sure all students/parents are receiving the best instruction possible. Hills puts on multiple concerts a year, which are professionally run, and which help students not only learn how to perform but learn how to love to perform. Hills promptly accommodates scheduling issues and offers weekend makeup lessons. Hills Academy of Music, Art, and Dance has and continues to be a great part of our life for our family.

There is a lot of care and love there. Weve been there for private lessons since 2013. The after school care program is great too. We took advantage of the homework help, Hip Hop dance class, art class, and choir class, which were all included.

Palos Verdes arts Academy is an amazing school. Once you’re in you become family. They have amazing teachers who have a passion for music and art. The school has every kind of teacher that you’re looking for. What’s most important is to find a teacher that fits in with your child. I fell in love with the Acadamy right away.
