My girlfriend and I recently decided we wanted to get our concealed permits, we stumbled across Tampa carry in our search and decided we wanted to go that route. We watched Ryans video together and ended up enjoying them and learning quite a bit. It is safe to say all of our questions about owning and having a concealed weapon have been answered tenfold! Ryan gives real life scenarios, repeats the laws, and explains everything very well. 10/10 would recommend this course to anyone who is considering their concealed permit. Ryan is an awesome instructor. Very welcoming and friendly. As there were a number of people in the classroom, Ryan was great with communicating with the class as a whole and also addressing each person in the class individually. Wow. So far this course has been very enjoyable and the instructor was very knowledgeable. I really like the different scenarios. It really puts things in a different perspective. I am excited to take the live fire portion to earn my permit. Scheduling was easy. I went ahead and purchased the additional bundle of courses. I rather be safe than sorry when it comes to the laws and what legal and not as the laws can be very confusing. The instructor broke it down so I can understand the material very easily.

Absolutely nothing to be afraid of, Ryan’s got a welcoming voice and makes you feel comfortable. This class was amazing. I took The conceal carry class with Ryan in 2015. But did not send the paper work . He did a great job then . I recently did the online class. I was very pleased it was very informative. I had one issue with doing the program online. I sent a message on the chat line and they walked me through the problem right away. I would really say that even if you have had a permit for a long time, you might consider doing the online class as a refresher. . The laws do change and this program is very current.

Amazing course and content! I took an in person CWL course a few years ago, never submitted my paperwork, and let everything expire. Ive now gotten serious about obtaining my CWL and decided to do the online course through tampacarry.com. As someone whos done in-person and online I can tell you without a doubt this online tampacarry course is awesome! The great thing about it is not only the amazing instruction but the ability to also show video and stories from situations in our Florida neighborhoods. Simply awesome content. Id recommend this online course over the in-person/classroom approach any day.

Wow!!! Dont even know where to start. Ryan has excellent presentation skills and such a nice way about him. The on-the lines classes were informative and very enjoyable. I learned so much more than I anticipated. The in person session at the firing range was extremely good too. I had never shot a gun before and he made me feel comfortable and I left feeling confident. He stresses safety which is why I wanted to take the training. I feel that I will be a safe gun owner if I continue to practice as recommended by Ryan....safety first!! He is also so inclusive made me feel very comfortable. UPDATE: They recharged my card after I posted my review. Consumer beware.I was really disappointed in the service of this company. I chose this company due to such good reviews, but I think my experience warrants sharing since it offers a different perspective. First off, this company does not answers phone calls or call you back. They operate via text message. Convenient, yes, but leaves WAY too much room for miscommunication. Second, they instruct you NOT to arrive early AND NOT to arrive late, so my attempt to be right on time failed miserably when Waze didn’t take me to the correct address (input address correctly). So, then I was left frantically trying to locate the shop, texting the employee at stop lights, trying to figure out where it is. I was met with “you’ll need to reschedule your appointment” via text. No phone call. When someone is frantic and lost trying to get where they need to be for something that’s important to them, don’t you think a phone call would be helpful?! They were kind to refund my money, but I’d spent hours on the online course and driving to the shop, and now I have nothing but my honey back and a bad taste in my mouth. As a professional who has focused my career on providing customers with a positive experience, I’ve been shocked by how unpleasant and unprofessional this engagement has been. I would not recommend this business.

I love everything about Tampa Carry. Not only is Ryan extremely knowledgeable and personable, he is also a great instructor. You learn so much in every class and yet at a pace that is very comfortable, becoming more and more competent as you go along. He tailors the one-on-one classes to you and your specific concerns and allows you to learn at your own speed. I took the online course and true to Ryan’s YouTube videos, it’s hard not to become addicted. Really informative and he’s gone to great lengths to add vital information on Not only on gun ownership, but gets you thinking about the “Aftermath” of a potential intruder scenario. Many things that I didn’t take into consideration which I’m super thankful for. As usual Ryan’s humor is as equally entertaining as is his thorough explanations. After the course I had to attend a very efficient and quick 15-20 Min firearms handling safety class to get my certificate. Probably the best money spent outside of my Walther. Can’t lose with this concealed carry class!

Ryan is the best! I was looking for a place to get my concealed carry permit, and wanted to take a class that was run by a competent, knowledgeable person that answers questions and is interested first and foremost in educating their students. This is the place! This isn’t some crazy gun-nut going on about guns, he actually teaches de-escalation and every alternative before using your weapon - which is what should be taught! I feel prepared after leaving his class, and am confident that I chose the right instructor. I will definitely be going back to him if I need to take another one!
