Im from India. I applied to GPA in August, 2021. I had done my research for flight schools all over the world and I found GPA was most honest in their pricing. They have a current fleet of aircraft, good maintenance and a good student-instructor ratio. Apart from having good weather, this school had the most cooperative administration I had ever dealt with. You only need to get in touch with the administration once and everything is taken care of. This flight school helps you in every way possible. Look no further because you have found the school you were looking for. I wouldnt be surprised if GPA turns out to be the best among good flight schools because theyre honest in everything they do, which is rare!

They are not only super transparent in their dealings but also economical compared to the other flight schools and what they offer is much more then anyone else. Moreover, the quality of training is top class and the professionalism is remarkable. I finished my training in about 8 months and that was the best kind of training I could have asked for. Our instructors and specially the chief instructor made sure our skills aren’t limited just to pass our checkride but to ensure we are truly sound with what we are doing and make us adapt the professionalism that is expected out of us as commercial pilots. Truly the best place you can choose for your flight training.

Great place to get your Drone certification. It was really easy to get an appointment. They have 3 testing spaces to get you in and out quickly. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. They provide complimentary pencils and scratch paper as well as a calculator if needed. Plenty of parking is also available. I would definitely recommend this place.

I finished my CPL training from GPA recently. Without any doubt, one of my best experiences with an institution. The extremely knowledgeable and skillful team of instructors will ensure you learn in a way that suits you best, a highly qualified maintenance staff makes sure the fleet is up and running, and the administration looks after any issue you may face in a prompt manner. Completed my CPL Training with Multi Engine Rating at the school while having a really amazing experience throughout.They got a great bunch of instructors, maintenance and staff who are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and always available to teach and help you.International students are looked after well, with all their requirements being met for their respective countries apart from FAA.They try and help make your training be as easy and smooth as possible while ensuring you have fun!

When I first reached out to Global Pilot Academy back in April of 2020, I had a specific goal which was to get my Private Pilot Certificate by the time my college started back up in the fall. Jared who is the admissions coordinator was very helpful in answering all the questions I had in regards to their Part 61 Flight Training. This flight school would work with you and accommodate whatever situation you may have. Since I just recently got out of Active Duty Air Force, my main focus was to fly 5 days a week to get my PPL. With a group of highly qualified CFIs, that goal was met. I appreciate this school making flight training possible during COVID-19 and the same time keeping students/pilots safe while doing it. I would highly recommend this school to aspiring pilots who are looking to reach their goals either through Part 61 or Part 141.

I had a great experience at Global Pilot Academy. They have a large fleet of 22 airplanes and dedicated and passionate instructors. Their prices are half of most large flight schools but they get you done in the same time and you will get personalized instruction.

This is a great flight school! But like with all training you make it what you want it to be.I was an international student pilot here for my IR, CPL and ME. They were very transparent and catering to my academic requirements and overall very helpful. In my experience it is important you have a dialog with the school before you start, setting up your program how you would like it, letting them know your learning style and goals in advance, which GPA managed to do perfectly- Which is why I recommend this school. I say this with confidence as I have been to 2 different schools before arriving here in GPA. Make sure you keep the communication flowing until you arrive in the school to avoid surprises, by doing so the school can better help you. In my case I was assigned an instructor that fit my learning style perfectly, as I often have a more old-school learning style, as I come from a strict corporate background.They are very relaxed and do not require uniforms, ofc many students including myself had one. They have 2 simulators that do the job and reduces the overall cost especially during IF and ME. Regarding flexibility, they were very flexible and understanding, and as long as you talk to the school, they will be listening and understanding. While some planes may be old, they are well maintained and the school place safety above all else, which is what a flight school should do. My only suggestion would be maybe getting a ME alternative to the Seneca such as the Seminole which is more of a training aircraft.Regarding ground school, in part61, the school let you have alot of freedom ranging from online ground school by jeppesen to your own choice such as Gleim or sportys ect. or my preferred route, one-on-one ground school in person or in a class together with other students. They use both Jeppesen and the ASA materials and have study rooms and computers for you to use.The rates of the planes are reasonable and arguably one of the cheapest in Florida if you are an international student, they got a selection of 152s, 172s for time building. Since the airport is located underneath a class B shelf, you get really good with communications navigating around the shelf real fast!

Honestly, the best aviation experience ive had so far!Great staff and community!Loved the environment, the instructors may be picky and tough, but it is worth it if you’re willing to put on the work!Planes are really well maintained, and pass rate is great!Though i gotta be clear, don’t expect them to completely take your hand and do your homework.They do their best for you to learn and definitely give you even more tools than you need, but you gotta do the work yourself!!

GPA is made up of the finest CFIs, staff and maintenance who will take it upon themselves to make sure your training goes as smoothly as possible, making you a really special part of the GPA family. Highly recommended and totally worth the money. My flying training in GPA has been the most memorable part of my journey as a commercial pilot. The instructors are totally really oriented and make sure they make you a sound pilot but also a knowledgable one. If you have the passion and give in your effort, this is the place for you. Chuck, Supriya mam and Bala sir are amazing mentors and they really helped me through in finishing my training pretty quick. Go for it, it’s nothing but the best training school in US.

The level of instruction at this school is extremely sub par. Their idea of ground school is sitting you down and making you watch videos that you can do on your own time without paying a fortune. Chief Pilot is extremely condescending as well. Don’t go here

Chuck made my ME training super fun and it happened so fast and in such an efficient way that I couldnt even imagine. The school is worth every penny and they try to support their students in every possible way. Every person there was helpful, be it Curtis trying to figure out even smallest doubts that I had, Dustin trying to manage slots for my training flights, Keith trusting me and giving me sign-off when I had to rush for my IFR checkride, Wayne giving me his slots for ME training because I had very less time left, Evan trusting me and giving me all his help to figure out what I am lacking in and Chuck taking care of me like his own daughter and ofcourse the amazing maintenance team and Gilbert for keeping the aircrafts in their best state. In my experience at global pilot I could not be more satisfied with the level of service that I have recived. The staff has been very professional in helping me achieve my goals in aviation. One of the main reasons that I chose this school to continue my flight training is the fact that they had an actual ground course in house. If you have been looking for a structured learning environment with a high level of professionalism GPA is definitely worth putting on your radar

Global Pilot Academy does exactly what they say they are going to do for you. It is it far the best flight school in the Tampa Bay area and possibly Florida. I had a short time line to complete my commercial rating in before my written was going to expire due to other facilities that kept letting me down I spoke with Global and they made it happen not only on time but financially where they said it would be as well.I cannot praise them enough. I am currently going to start my CFI with them with no question in my mind that they will get me finished.If you are looking to start flying or add another rating or finish one up like I did this is the school to male it happen.I also want to say that all the aircraft are in good shape and whenever there was any issues they were taken care of extremely quickly to keep the fleet flying with the on-site facility. Unprofessional way to deal with international student asking to be equal with local students to have pay as you go instead of installments. Not recommended at all.

Quick Background to myself... I started flying while I was in College and I new since I was young that I was destined to soar threw the sky. Naturally I knew I was going to become a Commercial Pilot. I came to Global Pilot Academy Along with the staff. I was a flight student under Chuck Norris and when I found out he was leaving my airport to open a brand new flight school I asked one question, So where should I call home now. His answer KVDF! (for those who dont all ready know KVDF = Tampa Executive Airport). I remember the first time rolling up to the airport I was in awe. This was one of the nicest airports I had stepped into (at the time besides large international airports I may have visited four airports and none of them came close). All new facilities and great runways, so I got to watch the school grow, hire CFIs (certified Flight Instructors), acquire students (like they had to try hard. When the best are instructing any smart individual would want them to be their instructors). I earned my Private Pilots License there and about to lock in my Instrument License and Commercial license. The best part about this school is they will train you at whatever speed you are looking for. They have their fast pace Commercial Track or for you weekend warriors they have the florida layed back version. Another plus is that they have two very pristine CFIs Rhiannon Harkins and William Smith. Both ATP (Airline Transport Pilots) certified instructors who will give you the leading edge in the commercial world (Not forgetting Chuck Norris who is also an outstanding CFI who has thousands of flight hours instructing students and over the many years, way longer then I have been around, has only ever had one student fail his first time check ride. Trust me that would be like a 99.9999999% pass rate under him lol). All in all I love this flight school and the family they have created. Easy learning, grade A atmosphere and good people. What more can you ask for!
