What can I say, these folks are outstanding. I was already retiring but realized I was going crazy and was looking for a great career.I was job placed before I started and nothing was left as the unknown. Great school, great instructors and great management. In fact change that to outstanding. Don’t go to another school. Some may have newer trucks, computerized training and all show and no go but will cost you $3-5000 more for that.Have a system, keep it simple at a fair price and you will always win. Great school! All the instructors and staff are fantastic. If youre looking to get your cdl then look no further. This is the school to go to. My only gripe is I wish this school had a larger yard so students had a way of learning how to shift before being thrown out on the road. I was a quick learner but not everyone is and it shows when youre out with other students who are constantly slamming the truck into a gear. I know we all gotta learn somehow but it seems unnecessarily rough on the transmission. Anyway, this school was great and when the other reviewers say the staff was amazing they are NOT joking. 5 🌟

I recently graduated from Tampa Truck Driving School (03-12-2021) and I honestly have to say that they are the Very Best in the Tampa Area! The Instructors are the very best, most have many years of experience and are great instructors! Everyone who works at this school has their students best interest at heart and go out of their way to see you succeed! They offer lifetime Job Placement which is unheard of at any other CDL school! This school is second to none they are very patient and they will work with you no matter what it takes. And they will always help you find jobs if you later on want to drive local anywhere so you will always feel like a real person with the respect they show to you. Do not go to Roadmaster a waste of time and money try about 10000 you will pay with interest. At Tampa Trucking 5000 no interest and you can have it paid off in 11 months with some of the companies that they are affiliated with.

Today was my first day of class at Tampa Truck Driving School, and its already abundantly clear that I made the right choice. All of my highest expectations were far surpassed by the time we took our lunch break. The standard of excellence that the school holds itself to is simply mind blowing.If youre anything like me, you may pull into the parking lot of TTDS your first day overwhelmed by a strong sense of doubt and/or trepidation. I did. My apprehension was quickly dispelled by a genuinely friendly welcome from the director of the school, Kyle. Im not a particularly timid person, but the idea of going to a trucking school can be a little daunting. Even after reading every review on every school, who really knows what to expect, ya know? Kyle set the customer service bar as high as it goes, and the rest of his staff followed suit, displaying the same level of professionalism and passion for student success. You immediately know that youre in the right place.If youre on the fence about which school to choose, I would highly encourage you to pick this one. Its impossible to be disappointed by any aspect of the institution, definitely the Harvard of truck driving schools, as far as Im concerned.Ill update this review upon completion of the course.

While I was attending TTDS I had a GREAT experience. The Office Staff is very Professional and easy to talk to when asking any questions that you may have and GREAT when preparing your paperwork. The Yard and Road Instructors are TOUGH and STRICT but it is to help you NOT to detract you from the ultimate goal of passing the State Driving Test. TTDS even offers students who are on Phase 2 to practice on Sundays to prepare for the upcoming State Driving Test. So, if you can PUT IN and DO your part has a Student and can handle STRICT teaching and TOUGH Instructors that will help you pass. Then TTDS is the school for you... just TRUST THE PROCESS !

Tampa truck driving school has been an awesome experience. I am a flooring contractor for 30-plus years. I wanted a change a new career that I can love and rely on and Tampa truck driving school has blessed me with that opportunity I am grateful for the staff beginning with my first week with Miss Sheri . She is a great instructor with a great deal of knowledge and how to prepare for your CDL she is awesome. The second week phase with Nick and Brian was another great week Nick and Brian are great instructors that teach you how to pre-trip your tractor and trailer and backup techniques that are crucial in the real world they have great knowledge and experience and I am grateful for both of them the third week phase I come to learn from Melo and Seth, mellow teaches and instructs you how to back alley dock and parallel parking and Seth takes you out on the road and teaches you how to drive the truck and instruct you how to be a professional driver he has great wisdom experience and full of patience, Seth is very cool in chaos a great instructor to learn from and I have to add Amanda who is a sweetheart who has guide me through getting into the school and what I need to do to accomplish my goals and Im grateful 4 Shawn, he is always positive with lots of Hope for everybody. Better bring your car ✔ money ✔, and food ✔. Because youre going to be without once you leave home. Some of the students here are wishing they had at least 2 from this list when they got here. I wish they had something for the graduates too, like incentives for completing the course like a BBQ or a catered lunch. Be warned grab at least 2 items from this list.

Tampa Truck driving school trained me in 3 weeks and got me a job with a starter company after 6 months on the road they helped me to find a great job where I am home every night with my kids. Just recently paid off my loan and couldnt be happier with the decision I made over 2 years ago. Advice to those of you starting out, Keep that first job they get for you for 6 months. AJ is awesome and a huge reason why I chose this school, he gave me the words I needed to hear when I needed to hear them. Tampa Trucking school is not a place for slackers, whiners or quitters. Leave your Cell phones at home and be prepared to work hard. You will make mistakes, you will get frustrated and you will be working 12 hours days. Your success or failure is entirely your responsibility. The instructors will give you the information and tools you need to get your CDL the rest is on you. The first thing you will hear is “Trust the Process” the school is run by experienced industry professionals, it is not a pretty place and not meant to be but the program is very effective. Follow it and you will leave with a bright future in the industry. I would not change a thing about my experience at this school and if I was offered the opportunity to go to any other school I would turn it down. Admin staff is great, they explain the cost upfront, provide job placement for as long as the school is in business and answer any of your questions truthfully! The schools slogan Trust The Process is literally a true statement. Today Ive finally passed my test to receive my CDL and it was well worth the wait. My husband and I signed up with truck driving school, everyone is very patient and supportive through the whole 3 week process. After first week you get your permit and for the rest of the two week its hands on. It was great experience and look forward to the adventures to come !!!

It works..... you have to “TRUST THE PROCESS” and stay humble. Don’t expect a luxurious learning atmosphere, it’s a truck driving school, Do expect to apply yourself and manage your stress. The team that they have assembled to teach you what you have to learn, are in my opinion, top quality.

Trainers are top notch. Office people are top notch. Great atmosphere. Now the bad. The trucks need work. I know there just yard dogs.. But damn! Wore out clutches and warped fly wheels that make your life hell. Broken seats you cant adjust. One had a broken door and when you wanted to get out and look......you had to climb out the passenger door and get back in the same way. It makes learning a little stressful. Come on Sean!! Invest in the trucks a little. Other then that great school. The motel has a good assortment of dope dealers on the weekend. And a few ladies of the evening. Lol!!!! Im glad I went. It was a great experience. i would recommend it to anyone.

One of the on the road instructors could have been more attentive. On one occasion I was frustrated that I asked the instructor what I did wrong and she said I dont know because she was looking at her phone. Aside from that one incident, the school was fantastic, the staff was very supportive and friendly, and I learned a lot about trucks, and how to safely operate them, in just 3 weeks. I WOULD recommend this school to a friend.

Excellent school and environment. The instructors Mark, Brian, Lance, and Jeff provide excellent training and preparation for real world scenarios. Plus Shawn and Soera make you feel at home. All in all it has been a very unique and pleasant experience. Thanks guys

Ive had my experience with Tampa truck driving school very nice instructors thats cool Ive been to the only problem I have is the companies that they recommend to send you to are shity the one that I got sent to was Stevens Transport been here almost six months now going on about 5 months worst experience ever I offered to pay myself out of my contract with Stevens and they said you have to stay the whole six months you cannot pay your contract out this company is the worst company ever do not go to Stevens Transport they never answer the phone calls on dispatch their trainers are disgusting and rude as hell you dont learn nothing they all trained you the wrong way. Stevens barely has any Freight so you sit a lot your first five checks are under $350 a week and you dont see any kind of residual or any kind of real income until youve worked for them for at least 3 and 1/2 to 4 months

Tampa driving school is a very good school. The instructors are very helpful. I will highly recommend the school to everybody.

As I’m riding in my greyhound to Texas. I’m reflecting on my last 3 weeks at TTDS. I want to give a big shoutout to Travis my classroom instructor. Chris my phase two instructor, Josh and Wayne my phase 3 instructors.They were all awesome and I enjoyed working with all of them. Mello the yard supervisor/lead instructor was very easy going and had a way of explaining things simple to understand. Also thanks to Sean the director he knows what he’s doing over there. My class of over 20 people was a blast to get along with and I enjoyed meeting everyone of them! All in all very satisfied with my time spent there. On my way to Stevens transport in Dallas, TX for part 2 of my journey!

This review is long overdue as I completed the training in 2016. First off the school is awesome I was number one in the classroom but struggled with backing I was so frustrated then Shawn came out calmed me down and gave me some confidence I highly doubt any other school can say the VP did that. The one bad review on here is misdirected he had a problem with the company he went to not the school. I went to a not so great company but hey were rookies you cant expect to start at the top. I went OTR for a year yes it was hard leaving the family for a year but we got through it then after that I got a awesome job local where Im home everyday and top pay so thank you TTDS anyone debating on whether to come here or not stop this place is the best.

Leave the nerves at the front gate before you enter. The staff there will guide you through the maneuvers, teach you your pretrips, and foster a pleasant experience on your drive times.Dont give up on yourself, and the staff will not give up on you. Believe and you will achieve.

My experience with Tampa Truck Driving School was great. The office staff and yard instructors were awesome at answering any questions I had and helped with any problems I had doing my maneuvers in the yard. If you stick to the process and listen to the instructors you will have your Cdls in the 3 weeks

Best experience Ive ever had in a very long time. Admin did a great job getting me thru the door they didnt require any cosigners or any other financial headaches. All of my trainers from phase 1 thru phase 3 were very knowledgeable and on point with every technique that I have learned. Jan 10 I passed the 3rd phase and I have Orientation with Transam on the 20th. Thank you guys for all of your hard work and dedication and thank you for being Properly Mounted and Secure (PMS) lol. I didn’t even know what oil dip stuck was when I started there or how to check it. I knew nothing of engines or parts. After ‘Follow the Process ‘ it works. Listen to instructors they are there to see you pass and succeed. Thank you everyone was an awesome experience.

Fantastic school! I graduated 2 weeks ago. All the instructors are amazing and beyond helpful. All 3 segments of the program were superior! Thanks to Travis in the class room I got my permit, Tony did an amazing job on teaching the class how to drive these giant truck, he has tons of patience and reminds me of my favorite high school teacher lol. Angelo is another awesome guy with additional reinforcement of what Tony showed us. Thanks a Ton to Larry for having the patience to take us out on the road and showing us very important information that I can say I use everyday while on the road. The days go by father than expected once you receive your permit. Just make sure you trust the process lmao and listen to what the instructors are telling you, they know what they are talking about! Can I attend at 20?

Everyone was great. Gave me the knowledge I needed to obtain my license and start a career. Everyone was friendly and made you feel like family. 10/10

I just graduated and i must commend this school on its structure and preparation of its students. They keep you believing in yourself and motivate you until the end. Seth, John, Millo, and Shawn are great guys... With this school you will succeed!!!
