I have been attending the Tampa location and It has changed my life in a positive way. This it the first nursing program that I have found here in the south where most of the administration including program directors are African American. That means a great deal to me because I aspire to equal success in life. I also have been exposed to the best encouragement that I have ever witnessed during my entire scholastic journey. I am looking forward to continuing my education including post graduate degree at this institution. I would have never had the drive to continue forward at this institution if it was not for the exceptional staff that are always readily available to help guide you through your experience. Though the use of encouragement and a myriad of resources to aid in your success through your program, you can rest assured that your investment in your education here at South University would be worth the sacrifices and monies spent.

I attend the school now and I think it is a great to to attend. I. attend online and my academic counselors call and help me everything. They have tutoring programs and the teachers online are almost available 24/7. They have as to try and make it as best for your learning. Like if you have been out of school for awhile that ok because the go step by step to help you and give you examples on how your work id suppose to be done. I thank God I am attend because it really helped me out a lot. Plus the people are very helpful to make sure you are getting the best out of your education.

I know a few people that currently attend this school that dont want to voice their opinions because of possible reprimands. The LACK of quality is 2nd to none. They dont care about you once youve signed up. Do your research and talk to current students. This is no school, its just another business. TAKE CARE OF YOUR STUDENTS.

School rating: 1/5They are very money oriented and not very helpful. They have a tendency to make things up to get you to sign up. The program is super expensive. They kicked me out because my GPA dropped bellow 2.5.OT Program rating 0/5I was attending the Occupational Therapy program and had a very bad experience. Five students out of sixteen made it to the last semester, which was above average. All you will be required to do is learn how to write papers. If your GPA drops bellow 2.5 you will be kicked out.The worst professor by far is Kevin Bobos 0/5. He brags about never giving a student a good grade. He is the least educated of all professors and seem to suffer from inferiority complex. By making you feel small he makes himself feel great.

I am a current student and happen to love it there. Great professors, they spend time helping if you need it. When you are an older student, sometimes the little things make the biggest impression... I would recommend South....You are in charge of your destiny and it seems to me many who complain have not put into it what they want to get out of it....

I would like to start by saying that I began my education with USF which was great for the college experience. Ultimately I chose South University because of the accreditation, better fit with my hectic life and because my coworkers at the hospital suggested it as a reputable place to pursue my Masters in Nursing. I enrolled with the online school first thinking that was the answer but I was not happy at all with the lack of customer service trying to get in touch with people was very difficult and I believe that the online courses do not prepare you for the in depth nature of what you need to know as a nurse practitioner. I took some time off before eventually giving the Tampa campus program a shot which was the best decision for me. Customer service overall was excellent, the classes are only one day a week so it still fit my schedule and the professor interaction was what I needed to feel like I was actually learning something. I also was very impressed at how accessible the school administrators and the director of the program are. It is not to say that there wont be bumps along the road but I couldnt have made a better decision for my life and my education.

Basically the school is expensive. Your better off taking the pre-requisites at a cheaper school, because you have just as much of a chance of getting into their programs as the idiot paying their highway robbery tuition rates. They are on academic probation. The administration doesnt want to hear from you. Students are a dollar sign, dont bother them. They have some good teachers there, but if you have a problem, remember, your a dollar sign and not to be heard from . I currently have filed a complaint with The Florida Department Of Education on the school not following their policy regarding a grade challenge. Remember ? You are a dollar sign. They dont want to hear your crap. They charge for parking. 25 dollars every six months.

I am a freshman at the University and I have only been here for 2 weeks, already love it. Everything is beautiful here, food is good, the professors are engaged and the class sizes are perfect for an equal amount of attention among all students

Terrible place for education such that if you are a colored person thats not the place for you. They will trap you in for your money but once they get you in they dont care about your welfare at all. Can you imagine a major construction work of tearing down the building with all such dust and loud noise going on during a normal school session (November 2014 through February 2014) plus smelling such strong scent from wet paint among others. Terrible management such that there is a new faculty every quarter since I have been there. RUN AWAY!

I have enjoyed the past two quarters here, I am utilizing my VA VOC-REHAB benefits and the classes are going very well. I have attended several different schools over the past 10 years and by comparison this school offers all you need and will prepare students for their relative professions.

I am doing my nurse practitioner program, I love the school, even my program is not easy, the school helps me to make your life easier. I see all the bad reviews are from students who just start going to college, they should know private school is costly and if they dont like it, they can go to a state or county college or university.

I am currently in the BSN program, and its very difficult and accelerated but of course i was not expecting it to be a breeze either, there is a handful of teachers that are absolutely amazing and will go above and beyond to help those that look for help. i love that during clinicals, hospital staff nurses brag about about how well prepared our school has made us. Yes its expensive but i dont have time to be in school for years to come! overall hard program but i feel like its preparing me extremely well for my nursing career.

The school is expensive but I was able to compete my RN to BSN in 6 months. Now enrolled in the MSN program.Pros - online format, writing papers is easy (for me), 5 week or 11 week options for classes, easy acceptance into program.Cons - twice as expensive as public university

The faculty here are absolutely dumb. It is now the last day of finals week and I still havent received my financial aid money. No one here knows what they are doing and I am paying all this money to attend here. The faculty here seriously need to go back to school because they are dumber than a box of rocks. Dont expect any of your questions to get answered. Dont expect them to care about you either, all they want is there money. Worst school on the planet!

The teachers did not have a clue what they were doing. South University requires 2 classes to apply for their nursing program that no other LEGIT school (i.e. USF, UCF, HCC) require. Big $$ scam. I only took 2 classes and they tried charging me $4,117.

A great school. I graduated with my BSN, with high honors, in half the time it would have taken at a state university. I immediately got a job at one of the hospitals I did clinicals at and love it.Not to mention making great money because of the BSN rather than an AS degree. Yes, its expensive, but if you wanna get done quick and get a good education, then its worth it to you.

South University is full of CRAP, the people who work there are rude, and have no clue of what they are doing. South University only cares about their MONEY ! I am towards the end of my prerequisites and come to find out, only 1 class can be transferred to a different college. Keep in mind South has quarterly(3months) classes and most colleges are term(4months). I have no other choice but to stay and finish the nursing program which I am dreading to do! Registrar and the advisor you are assigned to does not care about any of the students, they favor students. I am having an issue with registering with online courses that they say is RESTRICTED but yet my friends have the class online that is supposedly restricted. When you call no one answers, everyone goes by email, even the DEAN LISA SUMMONS. I called and left her a voicemail and she didnt have the decency to call back, she just emailed me.If your thinking about attending South University, please think again and turn the other cheek !! If I had the choice of not choosing the rating by stars, I would choose NONE
