My 6 years old son likes it so much! And I think if we think about education holistically and culture, martial arts should be part of it.

Taekwondo has been a major part of our son’s life for the last few years.It has grown from a fun (He used to love ninjas) to a way of life. Through the years it was not only fun and a great workout but became a greater, larger learning experience. Fortunately, Frank was always blessed with great instructors. Master Na was always motivating and supporting not only as an instructor but also as a mentor. Our son always enjoys classes with instructors June and Judith, they are friendly, helpful and patient. Frank always appreciated that!

I have known Master Na for over 10 years when I started training again after a long hiatus. As soon as Master Na opened his school I joined. His technical ability is matched by a talent to teach and motivate his students. Master Na takes time to understand the student and equally emphasizes the physical as well as mental (confidence, respect) aspects of Taekwondo.  Master Na also has specialized in Hapkido which is taught as a student gets more advanced.  I have seen how he has built his school up with his leadership and warm personality.  I would strongly recommend anyone, no matter the age or previous martial arts experience, to give Traditional Martial Arts a shot.

Our son has been going to TMA for 18 months now. The experience has been wonderful. They not only teach you martial arts but also focus on physical exercises and socializing. If we did not have to move we would not stop going to TMA. Even during COVID they held zoom classes so that the children would not lose track. Overall beyond expectations!

My son, Justin started his Taekwondo training after watching his older sister’s training. He is on the smaller size for his age, but is feisty. Training has given him the discipline of a routine and the responsibility of growth through practice. He has learned the disappointments of not mastering things right away along with the happiness of eventually achieving the required tasks. Master Na and his staff have directed his training in a fantastic fashion leading to Justin’s growth in confidence, the concept of teamwork and an appreciation of accomplishment.

As you know Taekwondo has changed my life ever since I stepped foot in the dojang. It all started December of 2017. Like every year we get together with my mom’s side of the family at my grandmother’s/step grandfather’s condo to celebrate Christmas. We exchange gifts and depending on the time of day have brunch or dinner. We met up at their place like usual. When it was time to open up the presents I unwrapped mine just as any regular kid would. One of the gifts was a Taekwondo uniform and letter from my grandmother and step grandfather. They said they enrolled me in Taekwondo lessons and that I would go in for a tutorial, in January of 2018. That gift would change my life forever.My first class was in mid-January 2018; I was wearing a full uniform and had my beginner sign in card; I was ready. Those first few classes were very difficult as I began learning the basics of Taekwondo. I felt as if I was in a brutal battle and I was on the losing side. Now I am very good at Taekwondo, I have learned a ton along the way and yet, there is still so much more for me to learn.When you are higher up in your Taekwondo training and see new students enter the doors of the dojang one of the main things you should do is give them some advice. If I have inspired a new student and they have asked for my advice, this is what I would say to them, “You should never give up! Even when you are at the most stressful and hardest part of your training, never give up; you have to push yourself to keep practicing until you get it; and you will get it!” I have seen many students begin their Taekwondo training and never finish. There were times during my training when it got hard, but I went to every class and I was able to master those skills. Now, here I am preparing to test for my Black Belt!Thank you Master Na and everyone at TMA for always believing in me and helping become the Taekwondo student I am today! Our daughter became a black belt this year after studying with Master Na for 4 years. Master Na is a great teacher and is great with kids. Our daughter has developed many skills working with Master Na. For example, our daughter is much less shy and much more confident than she used to be. Master Na is an awesome teacher for the whole family - from the 6 year-olds to the 66 year olds! The young students learn TKD skills as well as discipline, confidence and respect for others. The adults learn skills in a fun, full body workout that improves flexibility, strength, stamina and mind (learning all those TKD moves really helps strengthen memory :). Pre-COVID The school was always clean and well maintained. With COVID, even more diligent cleaning and maintenance following all CDC and State guidelines. Currently school offers combo of ZOOM and in-person classes. Master Nas inclusive spirit and positive energy permeates the school so all the instructors and students are super friendly and welcoming. When I first started here I was about eight years old and was a very shy person, I didn’t like socializing with people and was very quiet but now after about five years I am now a second dan black belt and I am now very social with people and not the quiet person I used to be. Master na’s traditional martial arts is a great way to help your kid have confidence and discipline.

Im so glad we joined and registered my four year old son. Master Na and his team are extremely invested in their students success. They have been very patient with my son, who was a bit timid at first. Its not just a class in which you show up for 30 minutes and leave. They are very engaging and I can see the students actually learning and progressing each class. There is accountability. The practice goes beyond the confines of the building as they encourage positive behavior at school and at home. My son loves it - his respect, confidence and demeanor have improved greatly.

I cant even begin to thank Master Na and his amazing staff enough for everything they have done for my son. He has grown so much in only a few months. Taekwondo has helped him in so many ways...it has helped improve his confidence and his ability to interact socially with peers. My 7 year old daughter has been taking classes here for about 8 or 9 months. She loves it. Master Na has a great way with children. He is firm and promotes discipline and respect for oneself and others but in a very kind way. The children seem to really respond to his style. I think this school is a great way to help children learn self confidence and also increase physical abilities. I highly recommend.

Our family has been part of the school for almost 2 years and we love it. We have a lot of fun while we are getting stronger and healthier. Master Na and the instructors are all very welcoming. If you are on the fence about martial arts, this is a good place to get started. This school is about self-improvement and doing things right. If you want to train for MMA-style fighting, probably not what you are looking for. Highly recommended otherwise.

Our son has studied Traditional Taekwondo with Master Na starting at the age of 7 for a little over 2 years now. My daughter has been coming to Master Nas TMA for almost 2 years. She has always had a problem with core strength and spent many years in OT. I have been training under Master Na for a little over 8 months now. He, and his assistant instructors, are all patient and supportive of the students, but they do not hesitate to be tough when it is required. Physically, I feel so much better now, I am more flexible, and my stamina has increased dramatically. Mentally, In the time that I have trained under Master Na I have re-kindled my passion for Taekwondo, and I hope to continue practicing under him for as long as possible.

I like martial arts since I was a child. Martial arts give you a lot of benefits like developing self confidence, focus, discipline, fitness...etc. I decided for my son to go TMA to learn Teakwondo and Master Nas classes are great place. My son and I enjoy the time with TMA a lots!First, the class is always kept clean not just by the staffs, but the instructors and all the students. The kids can learn many things with just a small habit like keeping everything around them neat and clean, bowing whenever they come in or out the class. They learn how to care for themselves and others. Second, all the TMA staffs are nice, friendly, caring for all students and parents. Master Na is a great teacher! The other instructors are very nice too. The way they divide the class to small groups and the kids can move around to have experience with all instructors is great. As I approach Second Dan testing, I would like to share my Taekwondo journey.I first began my TMA experience in the summer of 2017. When I saw my three siblings having fun in class, my mother and I decided to join as well. I quickly realized that Taekwondo was more than fun and games. It was a lifestyle and a way to learn valuable life lessons.I will never forget my first Rank Promotion as a no-belt. I was unable to break a board. My voice at that time was quiet and I was nervous to be the center of attention for something I had never done before. People began yelling Yes, you can! so I tried again and again, but the board still wouldnt break. Finally, Master Na helped me break it, but I was disheartened. I didnt quit because of Master Nas encouragement and my familys confidence in me. The phrase we say at the end of every class, Winners never quit, quitters never win, stuck with me. Had I quit from that small obstacle at the beginning of my Taekwondo journey, I would have never become the person I am today. From that first experience, I learned determination and perseverance which I use in all areas in my life. Many of my school friends ask me Yehudit, how are you able to do all your school work and still do Taekwondo? I always answer that if it werent for the goal setting, confidence, and self-discipline I learn at Taekwondo everyday, I wouldnt be able to do any school work as productively as I do now.Another experience which I remember vividly is when I got to Purple belt. At this point in my training, I began to feel frustrated. Even though I had been training for such a long time, I felt that blackbelt was still so far away. I felt like I had hit a plateau. One day after class, Master Na told me the something along the lines of the following which changed my prospective: After every rainy day, there will eventually be a sunny day. Even if it rains for an entire week, the sun will eventually come out. If you dont have rain, there will be a drought, and you dont have sun, there will be a flood. This kind of balance relates to Taekwondo training as well. If you dont have some bad times, you wont be able to grow and learn from your mistakes. After hearing this, I learned to be more resilient during hard times in my training and personal life.Once I became a Bodon belt, I began my training to be an instructor. Instructor training was difficult on a whole new level for me. I had no idea what to do, but I still had to figure out my place. I made the same mistakes over and over again and my frustration grew. However, slowly but surely, I began to feel more confident and understand how to help students be better every day. I am always growing as a Taekwondo student and instructor, and getting Second Dan is just another step. I am so proud to be part of the TMA family and witness many more Taekwondo journeys.

Our son started at TMA a little shy of 4 years old. It was a very difficult transition for him for months. He cried at every class and was scared to try something so new. The instructor’s support was pivotal in helping our son succeed. They were patient, kind, persistent, and encouraging with him. It was a difficult and challenging time for him and us as parents as well, but thankfully with our and TMA’s support and encouragement, he is now thriving. My recommendation to families in similar situations is to give positive support and encouragement to their kids, for parents to not give up— especially when their kids want to, and to find an amazing community, like TMA, that will do the same. We are beyond happy to have our son growing and learning at TMA.

V absolutely love Master Nas Tae Kwando school. I saw lots of changes in my son from being a superlazy kid to a active kid. Here every min is worth.. Kids learn self defense as well as they do different kids of activities.. Kids improve in all different areas like in learning to give respect, focusing discipline and listening skills etc..
