My family has been in numerous daycare situations for various reasons, and having seen and experienced what is out there, hands down Learning Stages was my favorite preschool for my kids. This is a warm, inviting environment where I always felt my kids were happy and getting an excellent early education. Communication was also excellent and I never once felt out of the loop. It’s also nice to be able to check in on them during the day with their camera system, and I always felt like I could approach Ms. Lety (The Director) or any of the teachers if I had any concerns. Most importantly, I really felt like each and every employee there really cared about my kids and knew their names. And that support for my kids was the same when they were at their best AND at their worst. As I have said, I have experienced a variety of other childcare situations, and there are plenty of bad situations out there. I’ve had providers lie to me about incidents, I’ve seen them not care at all about the child/adult ratios, I’ve seen them create cold-sterile environments where the kids never felt welcome, I’ve seen them treat us more like a paycheck than a partner in our kid’s growth and development, and, believe it or not, I’ve even had a childcare provider trying to hide a recent child endangerment arrest! Between my older daughter and my two youngest, I’ve seen a huge variety of child care options. Trust me when I say this place is great. The ONLY reason we left was because we moved to be closer to the kids grandparents, otherwise we would have stayed with Learning Stages until the last kid was in Elementary school. Do your kids a favor and look at this affordable, GREAT early learning center.

My son has been going to Learning Stages for 3 years. Ms. Lety (Director) is the sweetest most professional lady. Its obvious that she loves what she does and has so much care for each of her students. The staff at Learning Stages is also very professional and kind. They provide structure and learning with love for each child. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a school for their child.

Our 2 yr old has been attending Learning Stages for a little over 8 months now with our youngest joining the school in August. He absolutely loves his teachers. They are very hands on with each child addressing their needs and teaching them how to express themselves in a healthy manner. Each morning we are greeted with a smile and a good morning by each staff member we pass. They also call our son by his name even though he may not be in their class. This is something we noticed right from the start. The staff takes the time to know each child and make them feel welcome. We have loved Learning Stages from the start. Our child has truly blossomed because his teachers treat him as their own.The director is extremely active in the school. Leaving your child/children with strangers is hard enough, but Lety communicates with us on a regular basis not to mention the camera system has always put me at ease. We are so appreciative of her and how well the staff handles our son.I will be the first to admit our son is not always well behaved. Learning Stages has gone above and beyond to make sure we are always on the same page to correct things.Learning Stages is a true blessing to our family.

TLC -Tender Love and CareThats what this school stand for.I have been sending my toddler and it is a homely environment and to top it all, kids learn a great curriculum ranging from nursery rhymes, vocabulary, numbers, scientific exploration,Spanish and I was surprised when my son showed those little responsibilities of keeping his shoes in its place. You will not find the fanciest of tablets or technology however you will notice more of human interactions with kids, parents and grandparents.Be it Ms. Lety the Director or the teachers. Thus when I was scouting for a Preschool having the focus towards diversity, bilingual exposure, academic driven as well as TLC, I made a right choice of having my kid enrolled to Learning Stages Inc.

Now, I am not a huge review wittier but for this, it is a must (because it IS so important when choosing care for our children). If you want to place your infant, toddler or preschooler in a private school with teachers that sincerely care for each child on a very individual basis, a great director who is always available and able to respond to questions or concerns, a school that has a wonderful curriculum where your child learns things like verbal, math, reading, critical thinking, interaction and emotional skills and on top of that always has extra curricular activities going on for the children (even have field trips that come to them to keep the little ones fascinated and excited about each day and new learning adventure).... and that is also affordable (as if everything else isnt enough) - then you need to PICK THIS DAY-CARE/SCHOOL for your child or at least pay them a visit while you are looking around. I truly love Learning Stages, Inc. and all of the staff there so much. I really believe in what they are doing there. My child (turning three next month) has been going there for over a year and a half now and I fully intend to keep him there until his is too old to go and has to start public school. I feel so blessed to have found Learning Stages and would happily recommend it to any parent!!!! From taking him from a at home day care to a school environment, it is incredible the progress I have seen in him through what he has been learning there. :) I am one happy and proud momma!

I have had the privilage of having two children attend Learning Stages. My son, now 6, started at Learning Stages when he was 15 months old and continued there until he went to Kindergarten. The Director, staff, and teachers were kind, understanding, and willing to do anything for the kids in their care. I have had nothing but positive interactions with the staff at Learning Stages even when I expressed concerns. I believe that the Director makes every effort to solve any problem or concern that a parents brings to her with professionalism and by putting the child first. While my son was at Learning Stages he was able to grow and learn and when he went to Kindergarten he was well prepared. The curriculum is tailored to each age group and the teachers will help each child reach their fullest potential. My son had a successful Kindergarten year and I believe his social and acedemic success are attributed to his time at Learning Stages. We had such a positive experience while our son was at Learning Stages there was no question on where our daughter would go when she was ready. Our daughter started Learning Stages when she was 12 montha old and has flourished and we have come yo expect nothing less.My husband and I would recommend Learning Stages to any parents who wants their child to be in a loving, nurturing, and educational environment.

I absolutely love this daycare! My son has been going here since before he turned 2, he is now 4 turning 5 this September! I was very skeptical about putting my son in daycare being that he stayed with family since he was born, but when I found learning stages I just feel in love! Ms.Lety knew all the students name and their parents names and that surprised me. Daycares I had visited before appeared to not have a rapport with the students/parents! But learning stages did! Another thing is all the staff knows all the students! If your child walks by a teacher the teacher will know your childs name. That let me know that all students are comfortable with all staff. The curriculum is great! They actually work with students on numbers, colors, ABCs and teach them how to write! My child knew none of that starting Learning STages, he could barely even talk! Now hes talking and writing up a storm! I love how Learning Stages has activites for the family and students! Learning stags always has something positive going on keeping the parents/staff rapport active. Even during the summer they have field trips come to the school! How awesome is that! The best part about how I feel is that my son feels the same way! If he sees we are driving Im the direction of his school he says mommy can I go to school now? Thats how I know he loves being there! And when I come to pick him up and he isnt ready to go yet! He enjoys the positive learning environment Learning Stages has created for him!! I am so thankful for all that I have done and continue to do for my son and all the other children there! I recommend Learning Stages to every one!

My experience at the daycare has been a great one! The teachers care for the kids as if they were their own! Contrary to the one bad review, which is an isolated incident in which the parent is being exaggeratedly dishonest. This school focuses on teaching and showing every child kindness to others, respect and excelling them in their education. Since being at this school my child has learned so much and has just surprised me with just how much they have learned at such a young age and short amount of time! These children leave here very prepared for pre-k! Before coming here my child did not know any numbers or letters and now they can count in order up to 30, knows all the colors, alphabet (forwards and backwards), days of the week, months of the year and can spell their name without any assistance! The teachers are friendly and open with the parents. They do a really good job at building a relationship with you and keeping the communication open! It is true that only the parents that ask know what is going on, so when my child began throwing fits and saying that they did not want to go to school because “said classmate” would be there and hit them I questioned each teacher including Ms. Lety to find out if my child was being mistreated or in danger by her classmate. My concerns where addressed properly. I have never seen nor do I believe that the children are being treated badly in any form by the teachers. What I have seen is the teachers have to act proactively, professionally, safely and within guidelines to keep everyone else safe when the isolated child would go and attack the others. But again, that was an isolated incident and thankfully that child has finally moved to a different school.I honestly would recommend this school to anyone and only wish they could continue into elementary school with these ladies! Learning Stages has been the best!

My two children have attended Learning Stages starting 2012, and we love it.Staff and teachers are all professional, committed, and caring. My kids have passed through every classroom so we know the school pretty well. The director takes children development very seriously, in all aspects: nutrition, safety, emotional wellbeing, social skills, academic readiness. All in a loving environment. I want to share why I like the school so much; first some general things, then some specifics by age.Safety-from locked entrance, emergency exits in every room, regular fire drills, emergency bags for every child -including an emergency crib for infants-, security cameras in every room -we parents have credentials to view online-, and regular staff training on first aid and CPR, I have peace of mind.Nutrition-no fried foods, juices, or junk food snacks allowed. Kids have right size portions of balanced, healthy meals and milk at lunch (we never have tried breakfast so can’t speak about it). My older child is picky eater so really appreciated the teacher’s patience and creativity to find ways to encourage tasting new foods and keeping me updated. Daily folder keeps record of napping/eating plus notes from teachers as needed, although personal feedback from teachers is frequent too.Emotional wellbeing and social skills- teachers encourage using verbal communication from very early, including for problem solving. Reorientation of activities is frequently used to correct inappropriate behavior, and thinking times (1 min/ year of age starting at 2 yrs) are given to help reorient inappropriate behavior in older kids. No physical discipline is ever applied, is not part of the school policy, and all kids are treated gently, including in correction times. I would not have my kids enrolled in a school that fails to nurture a healthy emotional development. The rooms have enough toys grouped by centers, all in great condition to allow many ways of fun learning.Health-food allergies and disease prevention are also treated very seriously, taking all measures possible to prevent kids exposure, and health records are diligently kept up to date. Also good hygiene practices are a must.Academics- the program is great, no joking my older kid found K very easy, and became good reader quickly (LS has a small library and kids can borrow book, my kid loved that). Although great curriculum, this is not what I would consider the main focus of the school. To me it seems their focus is to develop the kids holistically, not just academically. In the infants room cribs with firm mattress, fitted sheets, close supervision during napping, diligent toy rotation for cleaning, well-maintained play areas, good hygiene to change diapers (gloves) and children feeding, encouragement of breast-feeding on site, detailed communication about feeding, etc. Very experienced teachers. In toddlers room, they closely partner on potty training with parents, but at the rhythm of every child, they were very supportive with training of my two kids. The summer programs are rich and fun, with in-house ‘field-trips’ such petting zoos, science experiments, sprinklers, soccer, and a great performance by the kids at the end. I also enjoy the parties at special occasions, that let me meet other parents, including the memorable graduation ceremony and Christmas shows. Finally I appreciate the directors commitment to address any concerns from parents, and their initiative to set up parent-teacher individual conferences as needed. Specifically, I recall two occasions when I felt there were communication issues with teachers which created some concern to me, but this allowed me to see the commitment from the director to timely address any concerns until fully resolved.Overall, an excellent place for young childen.

Check the child care licensing information. An investigation was done and the director, Mrs. Lety, had deleted the video footage of what happened to the child. But what she wasnt prepared for was that licensing can check on any child, not just the child who is being asked about. On the child licensing website, the child care center received a violation due to a 2 year old child being improperly restrained. Mrs. Lety also has her daughter write fake reviews to promote the daycare and cover up viloations. Take note of Nicole Brown who makes a really inappropriate statement about thank god the child has left. The efforts of a few parents helped those that are still there and I am one at the risk of my child having inappropriate discipline. Parents were not informed of discipline polices and there was a letter that had to be drafted and an updated handbook which I hope all parents received. Also, confidentiality is non existent due to me knowing information about various children at the facility such as medical conditions, who does/does not do their homework and told what child, by name, who my child is smarter than in his class. It was only ONE teacher who is in the Pre-K 1 room who mistreated my child. It was allowed and that teacher is still employed at the facility. My child started at 8 weeks and everything was great. I did not get backlash from the director or her daughter until I questioned why the teacher in Pre-K 1 was popping my child on the bottom. He would get in trouble and incident reports for defending himself from that teacher.I donated my early childhood materials for classrooms (pencils, books, etc. because they were so worn at the facility). The materials and stations are updated/changed for months at a time. Contact licensing and check the credentials of the person acting as assistant (her daughter) in the director’s absence. This daycare facility has inappropriate discipline policies. The owner/director of the facility has allowed a teacher that has worked in both Pre-K rooms, to hit children on their bottoms and to threaten the children with police officers if they display what is considered “bad behavior.” My spouse is a community helper and our child says “If I am bad daddy will take me to jail.” The director also neglects to address parent concerns of inappropriate discipline of children. Both directors are very dishonest, extremely rude and prevents select parents from contacting teachers about concerns involving their child’s day.The parents that do not ask questions or expect more have no issues. Parents who DO ask questions are the ones that get treated rudely by the directors and those parent’s children are in turn treated badly emotionally and sometimes physically as in my experience. After having my child at this facility, I got questions such as “Can teachers hit my bottom? This is what my teacher does and I don’t like it! Can teachers grab my arm hard like this?” My child would cry and scream not to go to school. My child fears school, teachers and police officers because of the dicipline policies at this facility. The director and her assistant (daughter) also discsses other children with parents which makes confidentiality non existent in an attempt to cover up their inappropriate practices. I have also witnessed a teacher, being yelled at in the hallway by the director. The directors daughter was asked to cover the class so the teacher could use the bathroom. What this review will do and has done is make the director panic. It already has by her seeking raving reviews and creating fake ones. I am a early childhood teacher of 19 years and I know that children deserve a safe emotional environment. If the end result is the owner and her daughter doing the right thing for ALL CHILDREN, it would make me happy even though my child was not treated right for me to help advocate for the other children there.
