My son has been going to this daycare/preschool since he was an infant. All the teachers and staff are beyond helpful and great to the children, they go above and beyond to assure they are comfortable and safe. I highly recommend Discovery point.

Discovery Point- Seven Hills is very professional. The teachers and staff at this location are always cordial and responsive to both the childrens needs and the caretakers as well. Often times, when Child Development Centers are branded, you can find that the quality of the teachings are diminished. That is NOT the case with Discovery Point Seven Hills. I recommend this location for any parent who wishes to see their child develop educationally as well as socially. The teachers and staff dont just consider what they do as a job. They truly treat what they do as a way of life and it shows immensely. I am constantly and consistently impressed.

Discovery Point Seven Hills has been amazing for my four year old son. We have had incredible difficulty finding a place for him that suited his needs and one in which he felt loved and comfortable.....with him already being in a school-based ESE PK program, you can imagine my fears with another unwanted change that we had to make and yet another transition. These type of changes had been a nightmare in the past. So....I did my crazy mom thing and took him to see his room, teachers, etc...made him a visual schedule...fully prepped him and myself for how this could go...which was one of only two ways...unbelievably well or the complete opposite. As it turns out..he loves it!!! He hasnt had an ounce of difficulty and adjusted perfectly. he tells us he loves it and is happy and he absolutely adores his teacher(s), as do we. The owners are amazing and the staff is caring. I couldnt ask to have had a better experience. Thank you to the entire staff from the cafeteria, to the bus, to the teachers and the entire front office....we appreciate you!

Discovery point 7hills. Is literally the best daycare center I’ve been too, my kids look forward to going there everyday! We’ve been going there for almost 2 years now. & I highly recommend them to everyone who talks to me about needing a daycare. Center is always clean, they are following safety requirements due to Covid. miss Jen and Miss Mercedes always keep us updated on everything and are always welcoming.Beyond happy that we picked discovery point and that both my younger kids have been able to grow with miss Vanessa. She’s an amazing teacher !100/100!

They are always communicating with us on events, and keeping us informed! They are always making sure everything is very clean and safe! One of the hardest things in life is trusting someone to take care of your children. This daycare has always done an amazing job and I couldn’t be more pleased. Mrs. Jen and Mrs. Mercedes are amazing and the most humble women I’ve ever met. Their passion and love for the kids don’t go unnoticed. The owners Mr. Tim and Mr. Carey turned Discovery Point Seven Hills completely upside down and made it the cleanest, friendliest, Discovery Point around. P.S. the staff is top notch.

It’s always nerve wracking searching for a daycare that will take great care of your kids. My daughter and I absolutely love Discovery Point! They have a vpk program and excellent teachers. I feel at ease when I drop her off because not just anyone can gain access into the building or attempt to check her out. Overall, I’d recommend this place 20/10! My daughter always looks forward to going, and I believe that speaks volumes!

As a first time mother I was extremely stressed trying to find a daycare to watch my at the time 1 year old son. You hear all kinds of crazy stories about daycares. My child has been there almost 2 years now and Discovery Point Seven Hills has gone above and beyond to make you feel like your child is in the best care! They are extremely clean! They are always communicating with me about my child and events going on at the school. The teachers go above and beyond making my child feel welcomed here. I would recommend this daycare to every parent I know! Thank you for being so awesome!

I am new to Hernando Co. and I went and toured at several schools and none of them made me fall in love the way Discover Point did. I love how spacious the school is and the fact my daughter while arriving on her 3rd day of school ran to the teacher to give her a hug. She clearly feels welcomed and loved and so do I. Mercedes was always super communicative and polite and I know I can be a pain as I am a young paranoid mother. I havent felt the need to think any differently of this school and I look forward to my daughter growing with them.

My Children have been going to this location for around four months. Everyone has been wonderful. They put on great programs for the children and ensure their day is filled with fun learning activities. My children love their teachers and are happy everyday when I drop them off. I am so thankful for the staff at this location.

I would highly recommend this school/day care to anyone. My grand daughters teacher, Ms. Vanessa is great with her and the other children. She keeps me in touch with anything that you would need to know as a parent/guardian. There is always someone at the front desk with a great positive attitude when you enter the building. There is always an activity such as pajama day, Hawaiian day, Dr. Seuss Day, trike-a-thon, toys for tots etc. Also has a monthly calendar to keep you informed with our busy schedules so you dont miss a thing. Such a pleasure when she is always smiling when she comes home from VPK!

My son is in VPK, the teachers are amazing, and love the children! My son loves going to school everyday! It’s great to know he’s taken care of, having fun, and learning! I have seen such an improvement in his writing, coloring, sounding letters and words!

I moved to Spring Hill and was an absolute wreck about finding a new preschool for my 6 week and 3 year old at the time. (I did an at home care taker with my son, she became our family!) I toured 4 different places in Spring Hill. NOTHING could compare to Discovery Point Seven Hills. They answered ALL of my questions (and I had a lot) with out making me feel like they werent important or like I was being rushed. I was looking for a secure facility (key pad entry, security cameras) that would emulate my children actually going to school. Every age group has their own designated room, clear sightlines through the entire facility (more eyes on my children, yes I am a helicopter mother). Everything is always neat and orderly. I never have to worry about my children when I drop them off. All of the staff is wonderful and makes my children feel so loved and at home!!! I can not even put into words how much I appreciate every single one of them! Communication is always amazing. My son is now in their VPK 4 program and the growth that I have seen in him scholastically is absolutely astonishing!! I am so blessed to have my children attend Discovery Point!!!

I have trusted them for over a year, it was my first time putting my baby into a daycare and I will honestly say they have been amazing through it all. Always a phone call away for any question or concern and always greeted with a smile. My daughter looks forward to going everyday!

I toured a few places and this one stood out by far. Very clean, friendly, feels like a part of your own extended family, age appropriate play grounds, great nutrition for kids, amazing opportunity for VPK growth with Shining Stars and Happy Feet, very organized, detailed oriented and I feel comfortable dropping off my kids here. Each and every staff knows my kids names and all the other kids because they care and pay attention. As an occupational therapy assistant I love how the classrooms are organized with stations such as fine motor, household, science and something to peak every childs interest. As I drop off my kid that is having a hard time adjusting the teacher will take them by the hand redirect and make them feel safe. I can ask anyone how my children are doing and they know whats going on. They provide amazing feedback and suggestions upon me asking. I feel that my kids are in the best hands and would not take them anywhere else. They also do so many great activities for the kids and help the community give back with lettit us be involved to show and introduce our kids of giving back to the community.

I have 2 children who attend this facility that love going here. When the before and after facility at their school was at capacity my anxiety of finding a new daycare for them to attend started to soar! My oldest child attended VPK a few years back at the Discovery Point Silverthorn and I couldnt of been more pleased. So with the option of my children being able to attend Seven Hills location and being able to be transported to their school I couldnt of been happier with placing them here. Thank you all for caring for my children and treating them with such love. Definitely will be recommending this facility to friends and family!

I’ve been taking my daughter here since she was 2. She loves it and learns something new every day. I trust the teachers with the care of my child, and my daughter has loved everyone of her teachers.

Discovery Point has been such a help with my son. The staff is lovely, they help with potty training, and my son has learned and thrived so much since starting here.

Absolutely incredible facility! I was so nervous putting my son in daycare period due to him being with me full time up to 17months old but Discovery Point Seven Hills has exceeded all expectations and made the transition so easy! He is now loving going to daycare and is on a great routine for me and my family. Highly recommend for any mom or family member to consider this facility it is like a second home for your child!

I have been extremely happy with this facility for our school age child. Both our children had been attending the other Discovery Point in the community, and since those owners, Tim and Carey, have taken over ownership of this facility, it has greatly improved in cleanliness, staff retention, and parent satisfaction. Our child is happy to come to before/after care here. He makes friends easily, staff supports him in homework and education, and he is always on time for school through their bus program. So happy that we were able to transition one of our child into a wonderful program that continues to promote safety, early education, and positive communication with parents.

At first I was very hesitant to put my infant in daycare, but the staff eased my concerns and made me feel very comfortable. They have taken such great care of my baby. It feels wonderful knowing she is safe and well taken care of. Her teacher is amazing. I love the artwork she makes with the babies. My baby is always so happy and smiling. Everyone is so sweet and caring, and the building is very clean. Im glad I chose this daycare. I definitely recommend them to anyone.By far the best!!Update: My daughter has been at this location since she was six weeks old, and now in the preschool room. She and I absolutely love it! All of her teachers have been amazing, and she is learning so much. I couldnt have chosen a better daycare. Id give them 10 stars!

My daughter is almost 2yrs old, she has been going here for almost 6months and my 4month old son is just now starting. This is their first and last daycare. My daughter loves going and she is very outspoken if she doesn’t like something we will know. Everyone is so friendly and close, it’s like a big family. I never have to worry about my kids I always know they are in good hands.

I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for the work the teachers and staff do for the kids here. My daughter started vpk and has blossomed into a outgoing silly child who loves to learn. Miss Vanessa and Miss Virginia you ladies are amazing! Thank you for all you do!

I think all the teachers and the managers go out of their way to work with our kids. They also do a great job allowing each child to pursue his or her own interests instead of “forcing” them to do the same activities all the time. My son is very happy here.

This place is AMAZING! The owners really care about the children. The curriculum and the activities are very engaging and my son has leaned so much.

Ms. V and Ms. Virginia do an outstanding job with the afterschool program! They engage with the children and have creative projects for them to work on. I highly recommend this Discovery Point to anyone looking for quality care for the children. Also the staff and management here are also fantastic.

When we found out that the management/owners of Discovery Point Silverthorn took over this location, we were were thrilled. We were getting ready to put our daughter in daycare full time, and we had already done a trial run previously at the Silverthorn location. This one is closer to our home so it is more convenient. I would not trust any other daycare in the area with the care of my child, and believe me we toured many. They are thorough and diligent in your childs health and safety, while being fun, loving and excited about your childs development. Some people will complain about how things were years ago at this location but its important to remember this is now run by new owners who have a support team like no other. My daughter loves it there completely, but not just her teachers, I mean all of the staff. They really are great.

My son absolutely loves it here as do I. some of the reviews I read had me nervous. but I could never imagine any of that going on here. hes been in 3 different class rooms and all teachers are great, ratio is followed for every class room. you pay for the care you get and I wouldnt pick a different daycare if rather pay high prices to be guaranteed my son is well taken care of by loving staff. I can speak for the seven hills location when I say its a A+ child care facility. thanks to the teachers and staff for treating our kids as your own!! and its a shame for some of the reviews I read on here, but I cant see it happening.

Do not bring your kids here teachers get away with putting there hands on your babies the older ladies work there are very mean yell and snap on them. My son was there for a week before I noticed this and I took him right out. It seemed like the nicest daycare around and cleanest but its definitely not the safest. My son came home with marks on bruises on each side of his arm. They luck I dont sue

My son just started VPK and I have been so happy with his teachers and the care they show for his educational and social development. He is excited for school and tells me every day I pick him up how awesome his day was.

Very happy with our experience at Discovery point seven hills! The security to the building is great. The front desk staff is always upbeat, knowledgeable and friendly. My daughter is in VPK and she loves her teachers! We enjoyed the trunk or treat as well as the holiday cookie making! We have nothing but good things to say! Highly recommended! The VPK program is great my daughter is learning a lot and has homework every night!

This facilty is top notch, and is secure. The staff is friendly and educated in their field. The managment team is on top of things and the new owners have put quite the spin on things in the positive direction. We have sent two of our children here over the years and it is now even better then ever. Keep up the great job. This is def the place to go!!!

Am very thankful for Discovery point . The Teachers/staff have been amazing. They took wonderful care of my two boys that attended and my very last little baby its going to be such a sad goodbye when its time to graduate I will always suggest friends/ family to go here so clean and so friendly . Definitely recommend this place.

Love it! The teachers are great and both my girls 5 yr old and 2 yr old love going. When I pick them up they cant wait to tell me about their days.

The staff is very friendly and makes it a point to know each childs name. My 2 yr old son loves to go to school here and has learned so much from his teachers in the 6 months he has attended. I feel very comfortable leaving my son in their care each day.

My son has been going to this place for roughly 3 years now and yes new management came in and took over, But there isnt a high teacher turnover rate... its been the same teachers basically. They just brought in more teachers then the place originally had.My son loves Discover and they ALWAYS say hi to him when he walks in. The teachers are always friendly and polite.

I absolutely love discovery point. Ever since the new owners took over, this facility has really turned around. They take very great care of all of the children, and the VPK teachers are phenomenal. Cannot believe how much my little has learned in such a short amount of time!

These reviews are very old and frankly are just not accurate. Anyone can have a bad moment on any given day. I have had kids in there for several years and they love it. The teachers are wonderful and really care for the childrens well being. The center has had HIGH inspection ratings and has recently undergone changes. This is by far the best center in Spring Hill and I would recommend it to anyone who wants more than just a day care.

I have been taking my two kids there over a year, at first the place was great, kids loved, I saw improvement in learning for the first 3 months. Its not like that now, they keep getting new teachers that are not even teachers, their 18 year old who think they know what they are doing, I pick my kids up and their hands and face are dirty, dirt all around their mouths and in their hair, and they actually let them eat like that. Ive picked my kids up multiple times and they have had poop in their pants. The teacher turnover is ridulicious, you get used to someone, and poof their gone, and you bring all your concerns to the owner, all they say is Im sorry and nothing changes. They raise your rates without even telling you.

My children attended this facility from October 2015 until about April 2017. I had no issue with the school age program. The infant room for my youngest daughter was also great. Once she moved into the 1 yr old room is when we had issues. She was injured 17 times- that was documented. I have all those incident slips. She came home with bruises and bit marks constantly, however. She fell a few times but more then anything she was bitten and by the same child over and over. It was always chaos in the room and there was only 1-2 teachers for 14-16 toddlers which I would witness when I picked her up early. They did not watch the children appropriately for the age they were. I doubt its changed but have always wanted to put this out there for other parents. Towards the end (until I figured out other child care ) I would cry leaving my daughter there as I knew she wasnt safe. I had to work as did my husband and this caused me so much stress. We ended up on a waiting list for an amazing daycare and finally got her in there mid summer.

Things were great but it didnt last long. I started bringing my daughter to this location when she was about 10 months old. The teachers seemed nice, the class size was small and the kids seemed happy. That all changed within about six months. The teachers went from​ being responsible adults to 18 year olds with attitudes, I can only imagine what those kids had to endure. Every time I picked up my daughter she was crying or had puffy eyes from crying so much during the day. Not just her but all the kids were visibly and audibly upset. My daughter had gotten sick several times at this location and the place even smelled of grime and illness. Like the sick waiting room at your kids doctors office-yuck. Please, please dont bring your children here if you dont have to, they need to make some major changes.

They are the best and friendly staff i have ever dealt with. I couldnt ask for a better facility to take my child to.

My son has been at DP#31 since he was 10 weeks old. He is now about to graduate from VPK and is more than ready to start Kindergarten. Throughout his tenure with the center his development has been off the charts. During his recent assessment at his future Kindergarten school (an A rated school) he was graded as off the charts - even able to read the sight words. Now, of course, weve worked with him at home but we worked alongside the centers curriculum.I highly recommend this center for anyone looking for not only child care, but a true school. To address the negative feedback below, yes there have been some hiccups at the center, but they recovered from them quickly by addressing it before it became a big problem.
