I recently hosted my daughters 14th birthday party here and it was a huge success. She is artsy so she chose the jewelry making party. The party package is for small parties (we had a total of 5 guests). It also is at a time when its pretty much only you and your guests in the building so everyone can remain safe.The owner and staff were amazing! They made the ladies feel welcome, they were very helpful and pleasant. They also decorated with a happy birthday blow up, banners and tablecloths. You have your own space but everyone stayed masked up until it was time to eat. When the eating started, we were left alone so only our small party was unmasked.I recommend this party for small groups! I will be planning another art event for my daughter and friends soon.Thank you for helping to make my daughters birthday a wonderful memory!

This is the best art school. My daughter has been attending for 2 years and Im so pleased with her progress. Shes gained a wealth of information and art related skill. They offer adult classes as well. Music lessons are also offered here. The price is right as well. So reasonable.

I signed my 5 year old son up for art class at the Vinings School of Art because he loves to draw. After the 4th class or so, I noticed that the children did a lot of painting, and asked my son if he liked painting, to which he replied no. I told him that we can try and find a class that focused more on drawing. The website showed a drawing class available, but for older children, so I went in to the school to ask Connie if there was something for younger children. She then proceeded to tell me the following. Who do you think draws the pictures they paint? Your son has no patience, and hes really not that good. In class, he always says that hes bored and doesnt like to do this. I told her that perhaps hes saying that because he likes to draw and not paint. Connie insisted that his skills are just not up to par compared to the other 5 year olds in the class. I told her that my son draws really well and after showing her pictures of his work, she replied ok, he is good, but I dont know if he traces that. At this point, I have decided that Id never bring my son back anywhere near this place, but because he had found a friend, I allowed him to attend that last class. When I came back to pick him up, Connie came out of the class with the example picture that the children drew in order FURTHER show me how bad my son is. I have to say that I have never had an experience like this in my life. Art should be a objective thing, and not up for scrutiny - certainly not by the instructor themselves. If she spoke to me this way, I could only imagine what she may have been saying to my son in the class when I wasnt around. And to think, my intentions were to keep him in the school, just transfer him to a different class. Now I would never take my child anywhere near the Vinings School of Art. My son and I both love this place! Kara, the owner is friendly, the place is priced great and she does not charge you if you can’t make it or your child is not feeling well. Connie is a talented, sweet teacher. She loves my son and we love her. He is pretty talented and she works hard to motivate him and teach him. He is always bringing home high quality work and it definitely boosts his confidence. I highly recommend the school. My son does the weekly class and usually a few weeks in the summer. He loves it!

My daughter learnt piano from Ms. Kat for almost 2 years. We moved so had to discontinue else would never leave them. Ms. Kat is a wonderful teacher and my kid loves her. She teaches with lot of patience and makes the kid fall in love with music. They are very professional and good value for money. You surely wont be disappointed.

My child looooooooves this school for both art and piano. The teachers are all so kind and patient. During covid we’ve felt extremely safe. I’m very thankful for our experience at this school. Every week it’s a joy to interact with the VSA staff. We totally love Mrs.Connie as her art teacher. She’s the BEST!!!!!

My daughter has been attending camps, group lessons and individual lessons at VSA for many years. Her weekly group drawing class with Coni is her favorite activity of the week. Coni always has a lesson plan for the students. I attach a recent example of one of my daughters drawings that she drew in her drawing class with Coni.Kara, the owner of VSA, provides a great service to our Smyrna/Vinings community. She has worked tirelessly during the past year to continue to give the art students the ability to safely continue their passion. We are very thankful for her efforts.

Our daughter has always been interested in art, so we enrolled her in lessons at Vining’s School of Art. Since starting she has made significant progress. Ms. Connie has helped enhance her drawing skills and the sessions are the highlight of her week. We could not be happier with the school and her teacher.

Owner is a bit rude. My daughter took a one week camp and never wanted to return. During class she took her apron string and rubbed it on a little boy as a form of play (this is how the owner described it). The boy told the teacher and my child was forced to write a sentence that she keep her hands to herself. The owner says “I know it’s petty!” I would never recommend them to anyone. They obviously don’t know how to handle a simple childhood issue.

Coni was such a great instructor for our class. She really wanted everyone to be able to pull out something unique from their own perspective and put it onto canvas. Coni, thank you for always reminding me to “find the light.” That message never went over my head and I now use in my art and my everyday life. You are a real treasure, and I’ll always be grateful for your many lessons.The class itself was super fun and we always had supplies for the lesson at hand. We worked with acrylic paints for our waterfall paintings. I even learned some new painting techniques and how to hold paint brushes. I hope to come back and take another class with y’all.

Daughter takes piano lessons here for last several months and she has taken off. Very pleased with the quality of the instructors.

My daughter has always loved drawing & painting, so when we signed her up for Vinings School of Arts she was thrilled to be there all day. The art studio is very well run & glad to have this in our Smyrna/Vinings community.

We had our daughters 6th birthday party at the school and I must say it was fantastic. The staff was terrific with the kids and keeping them on task and preparing their meal. Normally we have to work at every party weve had but this one was a breeze. We left with energy and not exhausted. I would highly recommend the school to anyone.

I just completed the step-by-step adult art class and it was the best experience. I was so impressed by the quality of the teacher and level of expertise, that I have now enrolled in one of the actual adult art classes for 2019! The instructor demonstrated and explained the technique and theory like we were attending a university course. The class ratio of 6 to one made it feel like a private lesson without the cost of private tutoring. The focus was always clear and the constant attention to each student amazed me. Each of us was provided with individual direction and instruction. Look no further, make learning to draw or paint your new years resolution! Vining School of Art delivers. I cant wait for my sessions to begin. Kudos to the School and owner!

Awesome experience! Today was our first class. The kids did Monet paintings. My son was skeptical at first, but he loved it! Definitely considering doing the art classes once a week! Its also reasonably priced and they have a very friendly staff!

My kids love it. Great camp value. The owner is very personable. She’s not trying to overcharge or up sell you on anything. She’s all about arts education and fun for the kiddos. Very well run.

Very creative...good value for the money..the teachers and owners go above and beyond to assist with a school project. We come almost every week. My son really enjoys it.

This is one of my favorite camps for my 8 year old daughter (this is our 2nd year attending). The projects are always so beautiful. You can tell they really take their time with the children to make sure each one of their masterpieces are skillfully crafted. I especially like that they are one of the ONLY camps available during the 1st two weeks of August to accommodate those students with later start dates. Well definitely be back next year!

I found this place by chance, I didnt even know it existed. My daughter needed to attend a camp during a Cobb County School break and they had an opening. They were sandwiched between my husband and Is work places and their drop off times and pick up times are ideal! Plus they got an hour of play time inside the dance studio next door. My daughter had a great time and I felt comfortable leaving her in their care.

My daughters have been going there since they were 4 and 5 years old. They have learned how to draw, paint, sculpt, write and produce plays there. They have studied Spanish and piano there. The teachers are the best: one of them did a watercolor portrait of my girlfriends kids from a photo, and she and her kids say its the best present theyve ever gotten. If you can, get your kids in here.

This is by far the best painting class I have been to! Everyone there is so nice and professional. I have been to other sip n paint classes, none compare to Vinnings School of Art. Definitely different! They also offer private painting classes..for 6 or more at the same cost of $25...oh yeah did I mention its cheaper! 😉

My son absolutely loves art class! Since there were only three classes left in the year and we have a lot going on right now, I asked my son if he wanted to skip the last three classes and start back in January when the next class begins. His response was ‘Mommy, I never want to miss art class!’ We started classes a couple of months ago and are pleased.

My daughter loves loves to attend the art class. The teachers are amazing. Both miss Jessica and miss Amberly are superb. There is always something new they do. I am extremely happy with the class.

We love this place and so does our kid! Staff is awesome and they really love what they do and you can tell! We will 100% be back, again and again!

Wonderful camps and classes are offered by Vinings School of Art! The projects are fun and unique. My daughter has been coming her for years and loves it!

I love the school. My kids love their teachers and they have learned to paint, draw and play piano. We have been coming here for a year now. I highly recommend their classes.

Vikings School of Art has been a great experience for our son to learn the piano-I highly recommend it for music, art and languages. Knowledgeable, friendly staff that’s great with kids!

The art school is very clean and very knowledgeable. They are willing to help kids with whatever they may need, whether it be for a specific project or just to do art.
