COA Smithtown is the best. I love how everyone is part of a team. Every time I visit I feel welcomed. My eyes are always stuck to the walls filled with beautiful art, which shows children are active educationally. Great things going on here! :)

We are so blessed to have found a place filled with wonderful caring people to leave our child with. Our daughter loves her teachers and friends and always speaks of the fun she has. Thank you all so much for all that you do! We are forever grateful

My husband and I were really impressed with the educational component of this school. It was important to us that our son not just socialize and play but that his teachers prepare him for Kindergarten. He has learned so much! We like that his teachers interact with him when he is doing work time. Yesterday he came home and told us that Ms. Michelle played with him in block center. He said that when he grows up he wants to be an engineer who builds homes for people. My husband and I looked at each other, we couldnt believe he knew what an engineer was! We love that they have made learning fun for him.

I recently stopped by Children of America Smithtown to check out the facility and staff. Not only was the building clean and well maintained, the staff was also phenomenal as well. They were helpful and able to answer all of my questions. I found this child care center to be suitable for my childs needs. The staff was very caring and seemed to be very knowledgable in many aspects of child care and well prepared for any emergencies that might arise.

My girls love going to COA every day. All of the staff treat the children as if they were their own. It is very comforting to know my kids are being cared for in a loving way. They also learn so much. My three year old uses words I didnt know she even knew and in the right context! She always asks about going to school on the weekends and about her friends and teachers. Its great environment for learning and growing and piece of mind for me that my girls are in great care.

My son Zach has been going to COA since he was an infant and he is now 7 years old. At every stage in his life thus far, Zach has had the wonderful opportunity to be cared for by the amazing staff at COA. They care so much for all of the children which gives this single working mother the peace of mind needed that her child is cared for and safe!

Both my daughters have been attending COA since they were 3 months old. Miss Patty and Miss Dora in the Infant rooms are amazing and warm. I was so at ease when dropping off both of my children when they were infants because of them. Miss Jessica fully potty trained my daughter when she was in her class. It is difficult enough to train one child and it amazed me how well she handled it with a handful of children learning at once. My four-year old is now in Miss Vanessa and Miss Allison’s class. I couldn’t say enough good things about them both. She has learned so much from them and I am so impressed. She is writing her name and letters and tells me about everything she learns. My 1 ½ year old is in Miss Amanda’s class and she is the perfect teacher for that room. Her vocabulary is expanding and she is always so happy to run into her class when dropping her off. Miss Catherine and Mr. Chris are wonderful with both of my children.I couldn’t be happier with the new Management. Miss Kelly really knows how to juggle the different roles her job entails and she still has a special relationship with each child as she started as a teacher in the infant room (My girls adore her). I am so happy with the communication of Management which I felt was lacking prior to the new management. Miss Mary Kate & Miss Amy are a great addition to Management. My daughters enjoy every single teacher in the building. I highly recommend this daycare center.

I thought this daycare was the best thing in the world especially with the cameras and being able to check in on my baby when I needed to, until I went to pick up my daughter and realized she was given nothing to drink the whole 8+ hours she was there and the staff lied to me. My daughter was sent to daycare with all of her bottles that I filled with juice at home, when I went to pick her up I was given the bottles back with the same amount of juice that I put in them at home. I was told she refused all her bottles BUT i was not notified of this at all... no heads up phone call, meanwhile they had called me for every other little thing in the past. As mentioned before the cameras are great. They are an extra fee but if you ask to have the cameras rewound you’re told “it’s only live feed”...... (I asked to see the cameras of my daughter refusing her bottles to give the benefit of the doubt and it couldn’t be done) soooo if something happens and you need clarity theres literally NO PROOF or no way to really know whats going on unless you’re glued to the cameras all day. Needless to say my daughter no longer attends and all parents should be very cautious about leaving their kids not only here but anywhere!!

I would like to say as a special education teacher i have been to many child cares and schools. I generally am not a fan of franchise childcares however this child are stands apart from the rest. My experiences here have shown me that the staff is not only caring and nurturing but they are highly knowledgeable. They have a great understanding of what is developmentally appropriate for children. When I was at this center treating one of my students I worked very closely with a teacher in the pre-k class. This teacher went above and beyond when it came to her students. Her communication skills were outstanding with parents and also working with me. The director of this facility is amazing she is in touch with families and staff. She personally knows ALL of the children. I would highly recommend this facility to families that are looking for a top notch childcare for their children.

We recently joined the COA family (this is our 3rd week!). Until that time we had our son at home with a babysitter we loved so to say I was apprehensive to send him to school would be an understatement (and if Im being honest my husband may have been worse!). BUT our first meeting at COA with Amy went so well, everyone was so welcoming, the school is filled with the kids crafts and colors and fun, everything is so clean, everyone made us feel right at home, our questions happily answered, and all of the teachers and staff are amazing. My husband and I couldnt be happier with this choice, our 15 month old son has so much fun throughout the day with all kinds of learning activities, we love his teacher Miss Nicole and most importantly we know hes in great hands all the time.

My kids (ages 3 and 1.5) have been attending COA since they were three months old. The teachers in every class are so amazing and attentive. Miss Patty and Miss Dora in the infant classrooms are great; my kids still run down the hallway to give them hugs when they see them. Miss Amanda in the Toddler class does a wonderful job, always teaching the kids about colors and shapes and dancing with them. We love Miss Nancy, Miss Vanessa and Miss Michelle—they aren’t even in my kid’s classrooms right now, but I’m always hearing stories about how they helped my kids during the day or popped in to say hello. Miss Jessica does a great job with the pre-schoolers and my son is constantly coming home with something new that he learned and I love it. Also, the entire school banded together and helped my son get potty-trained. Each and every teacher at this school genuinely cares about the kids and I am so so impressed with the amount of learning that goes on in the classrooms every day. I have never been concerned about the safety of my kids—I know they are in really good hands when I drop them off. COA does a great job throughout the year as far as bringing in new activities and setting up fun parties for the kids for the holidays. The directors, Kelly and Mary Kate, are wonderful—they are always aware of everything going on in the classrooms and do a really good job of keeping parents informed about their children. This is a wonderful school with loving caregivers. Can’t say enough good things!
