As someone who attended Southside Christian School for twelve years, I can say that it has had a profoundly positive impact on my life. Whether it be spiritually, academically, or even socially, I can confidently say that this school has been beneficial for me. I am very thankful that I had the blessing to be at SCS for such an important time in life. I love this school and its people.

This is no more than a public school with a Christian wrapper. We had to take my daughter out because of bullying. The administration appears to be more concerned with building athletic teams than they are with building a solid student body. A lot of tuition to pay to have your kid around riffraff. Good kids here, but lots of bad. Not worth it.

This school deserves no stars. There is extreme bullying towards LGBT, blacks, other religions, other denominations, and non Best people ex not the rich white cliques! The administration does not handle any problems and is stuck up. The dress code is ridiculous. My children both hated this school! SO many people are leaving. In fact, most of the 9th graders left! I would not recommend this school to anyone! They take the Christian out of Southside Christian. Also, a new pastor has a job there because his father in law works there. This is extreme Nepotism. Overall, I really had hope in this school, but now I realize why people are leaving.

This school has motivated, skilled teachers and staff who place students and parents of students first. Great sports and fine arts also.

If you are searching for a school that provides children with an excellent education steeped in a Christian worldview, look no further. We have been blessed by Southside Christian School. Thank you to a wonderful faculty and staff!

I love the fine arts program, I can at least recommend the high school, the staff is dedicated, and a majority of the student body good people, addressing the policy on LGBTQ activity, I am not disclosing my own opinion, however the school has a right to dictate rules and if you stay within them, whether you agree with them or not, it is an enjoyable 4 years.

There are many other churches and schools where students can be taught true Christian morality and respect for all of God’s children, this is NOT one of them.

Our family is very appreciative of the care and understanding that our daughter has received at SCS. Her teachers have been excellent and have shown true compassion for her. In addition to the excellence of her teachers, SCS provides curriculum opportunities for her to be challenged and excel academically. Brain power is applauded at this school! I cant think of a better place for our child than SCS. It has truly been a great fit.Thank you very much for such a great school and caring staff!

Amazing school just dont get in truble

Racist, sexist, and if your kid doesnt have every name brand under the sun theyll be bullied for it. Experience from me, my sibling, and many other ex-students. Wanted to leave 4 months in.

SCS has been very helpful in my sons transition to Greenville,SCI am very happy and content with SCS school staff and administrative staff.My son is proud to be in SCS and thankful to God.

Perspective from an ex-studentCaution: Im not going to sugar-coat this review.SCS is not a LGBTQ+ safe place and its filled with lots of bullying if you dont fit in to the cookie-cutter idea that the school wants.Also, if you arent rolling in dough, you may be harassed too (as the students put so much importance to buying fancy name brands).People i am close to and I, myself have all left, as the harassment is insane. In my year there i think I even deleted my social media due to the bullying. Of course i will not name names but almost every other girl had an eating disorder.Yes, the school is pretty and the equipment is nice, but what would you rather want, quality of things like smart boards and computers, or quality of student life?Also, this school lacks diversity big time, i can count the number of people in my grade who werent white.Only positives i can think of is the art program and the track team, thats why there is 1 star.Also, I am not just speaking for myself, as almost all the people i keep in contact with from SCS says it sucks and they wish they could leave.Basically, if youre white, rich, dislike gay people, and straight; youll be ok.I feel bad leaving such a harsh review, but it needs to be said.SCS, there is a reason why so many people are leaving your school, its because you enable bullying.Update - people I used to know are leaving this school left and right. With cruelty comes consequence
