We have been dancing at SDA for 11 years and have had a wonderful experience across all genres of dance! The staff is kind, supportive and pushes the kids in a loving way to do their very best. Sherwood Dance Academy is the perfect place for kids and adults no matter what level dancer you are. My two daughters ages 7 and 10 have been dancing with SDA since they were two. Because my girls loved SDA so much, I decided to take classes too. Even my husband participates in the daddy/daughter dance every year with the Showstoppers. You are never too old or young to join the SDA family. They are ready to take you in, make you family and support and encourage you along the way. I definitely recommend Sherwood Dance Academy to kids and adults who love to dance.

By far the best dance academy around. My daughter loves going, she has learned so much and comes home so happy and encouraged! They follow all covid precautions and truly care about the health and safety of the kiddos.

We’ve been a part of Sherwood Dance Academy for 8 years and counting and when I think of a common word to bring those 8 years of experience together it is: Belonging. My daughters have always been welcomed, celebrated, and felt like they belonged by teachers and students alike. My 2 year old adores her teachers and looks forward to EVERY class. The teachers do a great job of balancing fun with learning and I appreciate their realistic expectations for the little ones. The environment at SDA is warm while remaining professional and educational.

Truly caring staff and wonderful class options.My niece has been interested in dance for the longest time. Some of the biggest issues my brother and his family had going into a number of these local dance studios were the lack of professionalism, the focus on competitions and the feeling of being just a customer and nothing more. I was discussing this concerns with a co-worker and she recommended that I take my niece to Sherwood Dance Academy.Frankly, I was blown away. First, the Academy is pretty centrally located- easy to get to and has ample parking. Second, the Director of the place PERSONALLY took the time to fit my niece with different shoes and tights for the classes she is taking. Third, I got to meet two of the instructors who walked us into the classrooms (they have three!) and introduced my niece to one of the teaching assistants. Fourth, my niece had SO MANY CLASS OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM. :)My niece is very shy. I honestly didnt think she would ever want to perform with a group of people who werent already her friends from school. However, because of the warmth and kindness shown to her by the staff at Sherwood Dance, she looks forward to her classes and will be performing in the next dance recital!I very strongly urge anyone who is looking into dance classes to take the time to reach out to Sherwood Dance Academy. As I mentioned, my brother looked around a lot. My 4 year old daughter loves, loves, loves Mrs. Rachel and her ballet/tap class. The instructors are all very patient and seem to truly care about the kids.
