We had a great experience with Safe Lane, it was going to be months before the school could fit us in to drive and they got us in immediately and worked around our schedule. They also helped us find an appointment with the DMV for the next day! We couldnt be happier with the entire process.

Phillip was top notch! He answered all of my questions, his zoom class was great and we loved the weekend option, and my very nervous teenage daughter loved him. He made her feel very comfortable behind the wheel of the car. Would recommend to anyone who needs Drivers Ed.

Highly recommended! Mr. Glover went above and beyond to work with my son’s crazy sports schedule to make sure he could get his driving done. He was always quick to respond to any questions! He made sure my son was ready for the DMV test and to get behind the wheel!

This was the best decision I made for my 15 year old daughter so she could complete her drivers education course. Phillip called me back after I left a message and I was able to get in touch with the Kelley - the driving instructor for our area. Kelley and Phillip both worked with me to get the needed information from the Countys driver education office so she could complete. I am so thankful that I found Safe Lane Driving School. I initially contacted Mr. Glover because we had a horrible experience with another private school in Hickory. My son had completed the classroom hours of drivers ed in Hickory but was told it would be 6 months before he could complete the driving portion. Mr. Glover genuinely cared about our concerns and was able to get my son in to complete his 6 hours of driving within a few days of my phone call. My son learned so much during this time with Mr. Glover! I only wish we could have found him sooner. We will definitely recommend Safe Lane to anyone in need of a driving school!

Phillip Glover was an excellent instructor! My son was very nervous, but he instantly made him feel more at ease. He was kind, patient and informative. He had him drive through intersections, ramps on and off highways, neighborhoods, all different kinds of maneuvers (backing up, 3 point turns) and learning all the road signs. Highly recommend him!

Mr. Glover did an excellent job of relating to my son and putting him at ease. He taught him to drive in various settings and speeds, how to enter and exit the interstate, navigate intersections, roundabouts and park. Mr. Glover gave us resources to study and instructed us on next steps. Overall a great experience and Ive already recommended him to several friends and will continue to. When its my next childs time to learn to drive Safe Lane and Mr. Glover will be our first choice.

Very appreciative of Phillip Glover and the knowledge and expertise he provided while my son was taking classes at Safe Lane. Phillip answered all of our questions quickly. If I had to leave a message, he called back promptly. After my son finished his 6 hours of driving, Phillip told us what he needed to spend more time practicing. The class size was small. My son felt comfortable and enjoyed learning in the classes. He told us that the class content was interesting. He also completed homework, so he was prepared for the upcoming classes and the final test. I would absolutely recommend Safe Lane.

I would highly recommend Safe Lane Driving School above the traditional driver’s education class. The classroom and driving instruction are well worth the registration fee. Two of our four teens have taken driver’s ed through Safe Lane and they have a been more prepared to be behind the wheel than their siblings who took the traditional driving course.

No it is Not.I had the common sense to get a driving instructor to guide me back behind the wheel.Philip Glover is a professional and knowledgeable instructor, he helped me remember the good habits and corrected the old bad ones.Not only covering the what to do, but the hows and whys in a clear way.Just as important in my case he imparted confidence. His ability to teach combined with his constant encouragement gave me faith in him and myself.For a few personal reasons getting behind the wheel again after such a long time was a real personal challenge for me. I have a licence now. Philip Glover went above and beyond to help.A good instructor, a good man.

Such a fun class with a great teacher! I’ve heard plenty of stories about taking Defensive Driving courses that were boring and this place was the complete opposite! 10/10 would recommend and definitely would take again! If you need to take a defensive driving course and don’t want to be entertained, come here!! Phillip keeps you engaged with plenty of jokes!

Phillip was so nice and made the driving class interesting when I thought it wasn’t going to be. I learned a lot from him about how to drive a lot safer.

I took my DZ course with Chris and prior to class I didnt know anything about an engine or airbreaks and I was very intimidated. Both the in class and in truck are very intense, I reccomend showing up early, doing the homework and study your books front to back. This will be the difference between an exciting learning day and the worst day of your life, dont show up to waste peers and instructors time, its not tolerated. Chris is extremely knowledgeable about the engine and has a lot of experience, so take advantage, he is 100% the reason I passed my DZ with a smiling evaluator and actually had fun during my test.Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get their DZ.
