Ryan Bow has a super calm unflappable demeanor and explains things carefully, completely, and without overexplaining.When he demonstrates moves hes athletic enough to pause in just about any position, and does, when it will help clarify something, which is nice because I have slow eyes and jiujitsu gets fast.It just happened to be the dojo closest to my home at the time when I joined. 2 1/2 years later Im still beyond happy with the atmosphere, teaching, and workout.

This gym is awesome! I was a little nervous the first time I went in because I had zero martial arts experience, but the gym is super welcoming and immediately made me feel comfortable. Coach Ryan is great at helping students to develop a solid foundation of basics and then building up to more technical skills. I’ve been going for about two months so I’m still a beginner, but I learn something new and get a little better with each class. Having trained with Ryan hes one of the very best coaches. Breakdown and teaching style is incredible and he paces his classes so everyone learns and is engaged from beginners to experts. I highly recommend private lessons on knee bars. Hes a master who can make adjustments to fit your game!!

I have trained with Ryan Bow since 2012, hes a great coach with years of knowledge from when he fought in Japan for over 10 years. Hes guy muay thai knowledge, hes a Judo black belt and a BJJ black belt, super nice and friendly guy to talk to with some sweet techniques, if you want to be a Lion, you need to train with this Lion. Ryan Bows knowledge and experience is of the highest caliber. Not only is he a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, hes also a black belt in Judo (having recieved his Shodan in Japan). He also was a professional Muay Thai fighter and world title condending professional MMA combatant.He trained and fought in Japan for a decade and reached the highest level in the sport of MMA. He trained with some of the best (one of my all time favorites Imanari). He fought some of the all time greatest (he fought Gomi twice). Hes an encyclopedia of knowledge and has a great easy going personality that makes him easy to work with and learn from.He comes from a unique training background that makes his style of instruction unlike everyone elses. His BJJ respects the leg locks and understands them fully. Its a great place to learn, compete, and love the sport of MMA and martial arts.
