Highly recommended!!!! My instructor Mr. Steve was very patient, calm and professional. I booked a pick-up from home appointments and he was on time in all of them. I am very comfortable the way how he handle my nervousness without getting annoyed nor raising his voice and remained mellow the whole time, on point teaching on how to be safe and cautious. May Emerald City help more new responsible driver on the road!

Steve is absolutely amazing! I wanted to get driving lessons before giving my driving tests and Steve actually suggested taking lesser classes than I asked for. He was confident about teaching me in 3 classes instead of 5, rather than having me pay for 2 extra classes just to make a few bucks.He taught me driving techniques not just for what is tested on the examination, but was also confident to take me on the busy road starting day 1 + also a stint on the freeway.He’s very patient, teaches you to drive with patience, and is of course, extremely careful about fever checks and masks during Covid.Thanks Steve!! I have now cleared both my knowledge test and driving test, and look forward to getting my license in hand.

I let my license expire from a different state and need to take the test in Washington. Steve has been the easiest teacher to work with so far. He doesnt yell or get frustrated. He also tries to simplify things and gives you a good fact sheet with hints about the test.Quick update here: I passed my road test today. Thanks again!

Steve is a highly experienced and knowledgeable instructor, easily one of the best. I would give him more than 5 stars here if I could. He trains you not just for the test but for safe and defensive driving in real life under realistic circumstances where people tend to break traffic rules all the time.

Always yelling when I took lessons specifically Steve its not right way to teach if you yell of course Im gonna be tense or just react from what youre yelling switching and will find better place also said I owe money when I did math and I shouldnt have owed more than what I paid

I took some driving lessons with Steve and it was a delight to have him as an instructor. We went through driving techniques and he also put a big emphasis on safe practices on the road, all with some great humor and professionalism. It was a great experience and I highly recommend Steve as a driving instructor.

Great Driving School! I was in a hurry to get my WA driving license because my international one was about to expire and thanks to Steve I managed to get it on time! He is a great instructor and it was very easy with him to pass the test, as he gives good lessons! Highly recommended!!!

I took three lessons from Steve. He is super professional and patient.At first I called several driving schools near my place, but only Emerald City provides pick up and drop off, so I chose them. It turned out to be a wise choice.Steve pointed out some of my bad habits during driving and taught me to foster a series of good habits. Hes especially patient to explain the practice step by step. I highly recommend Emerald City and Steve Wong.

As an older and clumsy driver, I was required to take a driving test in order to keep my license. Since Steve is a tester himself, he patiently taught me how to avoid point deduction during the test. He also constantly reminded me to observe tips of safe driving to avoid accidents. I was so thrilled to pass the driving test, and I truly believe Steve deserves a lot of credit! Gracias Steve!

I love this Driving school theyre Professionalism and deep Patience for the students was priceless. Dont waste your time and money in the other Driving School. Emerald is the Best and I would Recommend this school for the Adults who needs refreshment course and teenagers who needs lessons.

This place is so overpriced! I wouldnt risk scheduling any sort of DOL testing. I had planned to take a road test at this driving school, with the small amount of money I had saved up I had hoped to pay at least $80 max. (because I didnt have my parents car to borrow I had planned to pay at least $70.) But boy was I mistaken. They wanted to charge me $152 just to take the road test! Please I beg you do not go here if theyll charge me $152 for a road just picture how much theyll charge you to take drivers ED. Please save your money and go elsewhere!

This is the most unprofessional establishment I’ve come across. When I called Steve Wong for information on their drivers ed class I was told he could only text and then he didn’t even respond to my texts! When I asked multiple times for them to put proof of enrollment into the dol system it took them a week to do this simple task after I personally asked their staff persistently, they blatantly ignored my requests. Horrible service, and under staffed to the point where there isn’t anyone to answer the schools phone! After the class, I followed the staffs instructions to schedule my knowledge test online, and after scheduling my appointment more than a week prior to the test date, I arrived at the school to find it vacant during their regularly scheduled hours. Please save yourself the time, frustration, and money.

Instructor Karl was a patient and experienced teacher. I learned a lot and felt more confident after lessons with him. I would recommend this school to anyone who needs practice to gain insight and confidence on driving.

No nuh uh. It looks cheap at first and then if you want to rent the car for the test its gonna cost $90 and other stuff. And the practice car, they have the whole equipment on the instructor side, even the steering wheel, they litterally drive for you.
