Having had a student at All That Dance for more than 10 years, and watching her grow and gain skill and confidence as a performer, I feel I can accurately recommend All That Dance as a studio that is well run, great at communicating and responding to concerns, an adept at offering kids a wide variety of dance styles to master and opportunities to perform. As with any school, much of a students experience and success depends on who is teaching the class. My daughter has had the opportunity to learn tap from teacher Moire, who is the head of the tap department and an outstanding instructor. Moire really has an eye for evaluating the different needs of her students. She is great at finding ways to help constructively with challenges and she is generous with praise for strengths. Those two characteristics have made such a difference for our daughter. Thank you, Moire, for all youve done to make ATD such a positive experience.

My daughters have danced at All That Dance since they were 3 years old. My oldest one has danced there for 15 years. I cant say enough good things about All That Dance! The instructors are phenomenal, high quality teaching and great with kids and teens! Every Spring, All That Dance puts on about 10-15 shows packed with about 10 dances each made up of the classes that took place in the studio. the show is done (pre-Covid) on a stage in a theatre. It is an amazing, professional production and the kids not only have so much fun, but it is really fun to watch and the dancing, particularly in the higher levels, is phenomenal. As your child gets older they have the chance to be part of the Honor Club (and do extra dances and work in the community) and the Company (put on their own show in the Spring with dances choreographed by the students and teachers). The studio is also eager to answer questions, place your child at the right level and help your child do the type of dancing they want. But, perhaps the thing that has impressed me the most about All That Dance is their Love My Body week. They started this program that has now spread all over. It is a week in which the students are encouraged to love their body by remembering what our bodies do for us every day and to welcome and be happy with any size or shape. There is no specific body type required to dance at All That Dance so it is incredibly welcoming to kids (and adults). I highly recommend this studio for all ages!

All That Dance has been such a great dance studio for our family. With several in our family having dance experiences there, we’ve taken advantage of so much of what they have to offer. My recent graduate in particular went from preschool classes to all the amazing opportunities for advanced high school dancers at ATD, and her two younger siblings are following in her footsteps. I’ve even put on some tap shoes and had a blast taking adult classes. There really is something for everyone at All That Dance! From the director to the faculty to the staff, everyone at ATD works to make their programs the best they can be.

My daughter first danced at All That Dance 11 years ago. Over these years she has learned so much more than how to dance. The supportive teaching environment has given her confidence and pride. The All That Dance community has been a bright spot in 2020, giving everyone special moment. The team at ATD remained flexible and made the most of a very difficult time for performing arts! Thank you!

We have found our second home at All That Dance. Our daughter has been dancing at All That Dance since she was three years old and seven years later we can’t imagine ever being anywhere else. The team of teachers are incredible - encouraging, nurturing, creative and just simply fun. Our daughter is her most confident at ATD - she feels safe, comfortable, challenged and genuinely happy. The overall culture at ATD is a reason we have stayed - not competitive (amongst students or parents) and simply wholesome and welcoming to all kiddos and families. We drive out to ATD from South Seattle five days a week - but it’s SO worth it to know how happy and confident our daughter is every time she walks in and out of the studio. There are choices for your dancers - but ATD is the best one. :)

My 18 year old daughter has been dancing with All that Dance for 10 years. She had no prior dance experience but wanted to try dance. From her very first class, she has loved her teachers, the class curriculum and the entire community at ATD. In fact, this past year she signed up for THREE classes! The ATD community is unconditionally inclusive and supportive of all dancers no matter what their skill level. When the pandemic hit and the studio went remote, the staff at ATD quickly and gracefully pivoted to on line learning. Each week the teachers showed up ready to teach classes and also ready to support the students emotionally. There was a check in at the start of every class which allowed the students to connect with each other and their teachers even though they were each in their own homes. My daughter continued to look forward to her zoom classes each week. I would highly recommend All that Dance to dancers of all ages, ability levels and aspirations. They will do whatever they can to accommodate and support each student. Seattle is lucky to have a local dance company and it has been a positive force in my daughters teenage development.

My daughters first attending of a dance class was here at All That Dance during the pandemic in 2020. She took a Beginning Jazz lesson that started over Zoom. During this time of uncertainty and concern for safety, ATD provided a quality structured lesson, fun, and activity for my daughter while staying safe. Every week she looked forward to seeing her teacher and other dancers online. The way the studio used technology during this time was impressive. When the allowing of more indoor gathering and activities was announced by officials, All That Dance followed protocols and invited the dancers into the studio. Communication from ATD via email and social media always kept us informed. Masked and distanced, my daughter was always so proud to share after class, what they learned and the fun that was had. With summer now here, we are enjoying the outdoors and looking forward to registering soon to return in the fall at All That Dance. My daughter is excited to attend her second year with jazz and I am happy to have her at a wonderful and inclusive studio.

We have been a part of the ATD community since our daughter was very young. The teachers are wonderful and always promote a positive and healthy body image for their students. From the intro classes, all the way through the more advanced Company program, ATD encouraged and inspired our young dancer. I started taking the adult classes and continue to take the adult dance/exercise based classes through the ATD Studio program. The studios are bright and airy with lots of space. I highly recommend this program whether you have a young dancer - or if you are an adult with an interest in dance, yoga and more.

The teacher was not great with kids. In the last day, they were doing a group dance with two individual shows, and only my kid was skipped, which truly made her feel really bad.

Fantastic is youre a woman bring your daughter to class! No so fantastic if youre a guy bringing your daughter to class. They do not have any male friendly changing areas, do not have any shlefs or counters in the bathrooms for you to place your daughter on in order to get her changed.I have asked on 4 separate occasions over the span of almost 3 months about getting something in one of the bathrooms so that I may change my daughter, and keep getting the friendly smiles and polite nods and were working on it, and here we are, still sitting on the dirty floor of their (semi) public bathroom in order to change her clothes. Why?We love the new space, its vibrant and spacious and my daughter loves her teacher. I just cannot for the life of me not understand why they have a study room, complete with a closed door, yet do not have any dad friendly changing areas.I have contacted several employees and even sent an email without response! Worst part is that no one seems to care about this obvious disgusting and unsanitary issue that is a simple $50 fix!Would be 4 stars if not for this issue.

ATD is not-too-bad studio for young dancers, but be for-warned; as your child grows up, the experience will become more and more negative. Talk to 10 teenagers who dance there, and 9 of them will tell you they dont really like it any more - they only stay because its where their friends go. As the dancers progress they will inevitably want to be in The Company - a spring performance for the higher level dancers. This is a huge and expensive commitment over which the studio has total control. If your child gets sick, injured, or has school-related events causing her to miss a few classes or practices, shell be cut from the performance that you paid for her to be in and youll receive no refund.

I have been dancing with ATD (All That Dance) for the past eight years now and I have found ATD, like any company, to be a very mixed bag.I have had interactions with teachers who I did not care for very much for but I have also had and have teachers that I love to pieces. As I have progressed through the levels of dance I have been encouraged to participate in dance competitions that I have no interest in and certain teachers themselves are very competitive dancers and I feel that it translates into how they teach the children in their classes. Not all at ATD are like that though. The teachers I have now are as wonderful as can be and they understand that competing is not everyones dream. They are encouraging and free with praise for all the dancers. When I become frustrated with myself for not being able to do something that I believe I should be able to achieve they are always there to let me know how well Im doing even when I cannot see it myself.I would recommend All That Dance to anyone looking for a fun and friendly environment for their dancer, no matter whether they are younger or older.ATD also has adult classes for some select kinds of dancing and they always seem like they are having the time of their lives, dancing up a storm, smiling and laughing. The little girls in the class before mine always leave with little smiles on their faces looking tired but excited to have learned something new or performed a step a little better that day. Several of them will give hugs to teacher Carlye before heading home, telling their parents about the new step they learned.Personally, I think my classs favorite part of the year is when we get to try on our costumes for the performance that we are helped to choreograph each year. Everyone of us, from the littlest dancers to the talented young adults, are able to show off to our parents the things we have learned, perfected, and achieved during the year in a show that ATD orchestrates in the spring at the end of the dance year.I love ATD and will continue to dance with them until I graduate.
