This has been the best place for our daughter - she has been attending for the last two years and we will keep sending her here for as long as theyll take us! The owners and teacher are so kind and caring, we know our little girl is getting exactly what she needs here - such a great balance of education, practical skills, social interaction (safely, and limited in our COVID world), and structure but with just enough of running free and being a kid still. I am so grateful for their help in raising our little one and we are constantly impressed with the heart and soul they pour into the program.

I LOVE this camp! Ive been going to McDonnald Ranch since I was 8, sometimes I go there all summer. I attended the after school program as well, programs are fantastic. One of the many reasons why I love this camp so much is because they have so much to do, and so many new things to try, for example they have horse riding, swimming, pottery, archery, lanyard making, cooking, ceramics, goat milking, and so many more great activities! They also have the best horse riding trainer I have ever met. I hope you have the chance to make memories at this amazing place this summer.

I believe McDonald ranch is a great camp for all children that love activities and animals. I was a volunteer there this summer. It was an amazing experience id have to say. The camp is full of many different activitys which is very much liked by the kids. They have horse riding lessons, kittens to play with and pet, goat milking, archery, ceramics, pottery, cooking, chick holding/petting, and a very fun obstacle course. They also have dogs and chickens which were always fun to be around. After a day full of all of that fun we go swimming at a public pool. Which was very convenient this summer threw the heat. During school time they have after school programs to help with kids homework and such. I recommend this place if your looking for your kids to have fun yet be safe.

An awesome summer camp with horseback riding, archery, pottery, a ropes course, and lots of animals! The directors Linda and Richard really care about each kid that comes to camp. Shuttles are provided for kids and the staff does their best to accommodate everyone! Always a postivie environment with activities that everyone can enjoy. Love!

McDonald Ranch has been a godsend to me and my little 8 year old boy.Its Clearly a labor of Love for Richard & Linda. They are like extended grandparents to my son. First of all they have shuttle service that picks kids up & Drops them back off in summer at designated areas throughout the county. My kid can be really challenging at times (ADHD) and Linda & Richard and the whole team at McDonald Ranch have been better than anything weve found! Not only does my son ADORE them but he LOVES The ranch and the activities they provide. Hes taken horse back riding lessons, Loves the baby kittens & puppies that are fostered there and the many other animals. McDonald Ranch has Ropes Courses, Archery, etc..they go on field trips to all the best places in Sonoma County, the pumpkin patch at Halloween etc...swimming in summer, Russian river trips.I have to again highlight the fact that As a full time working woman with her own business the shuttle service McDonald Ranch provides is a huge bonus!!!!! When school is in session, they have shuttles that will pick the kids up at their school and deliver them back to your home or business (in my case) after camp in the afternoon. NO Place else takes their time to provide such a humongous convenience as that! As a single parent this part in so appreciated. McDonald Ranch is also reasonably priced for all they offer in the program. Ive been using them for about 3 years now year round. Dont know what Id do without McDonald Ranch!!!

UNSAFE!! STAY AWAY!! False advertising for a positive environment for children of all ages. This summer camp takes children of all ages with high RISKS. Supervision is limited, young CHILDREN ARE LEFT BEIND, disabled children are not given priority attention; incident of a CHILD FOUND UNRESPONSIVE with the excuse of thought they were asleep,INJURIES NOT REPORTED to parents, counselors in training (CIT) is a falsified title and realistically translates to free babysitters for younger children to even out supervising ratios at the cost of the guardians and get away with using PROFANITY around young children, cause injury to younger children without apology, stay in their teen cliques instead of being counselor in training to watch over younger children, and some will use the CIT title as justification to power trip over younger children. There are NO REPERCUSSIONS FOR POOR BEHAVIOR of the CITs, because the owners need the supervision ratios to keep the money coming in. NOT NURTURING. Ranch environment gives children use of PORTABLE TOILETS, tubs filled with soapy water instead of basins and soap dispensers to wash hands after handling multiple animals, and use of portable toilets only to allow children to handle their food items afterwards. Van pools DO NOT PLACE YOUNGER CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS seats when transporting children. UNSAFE! This is a cash cow at your childs expense!!
