My daughter has been taking violin lessons with Becky Ward for almost 12 years. Now a senior in high school, I cant imagine what life will be like without our weekly visits to such a professional, nurturing and cool place. Becky has been an absolute dream come true in an instructor and guide, and Green Brooms staff have always been accommodating, caring and fun! As I reflect on what this journey has meant for my daughter, I am so grateful for the school auction 12 years ago where I won the two free Green Brooms music classes that started it all. My daughter has been taking piano and drum lessons here for several years. We have had several instructors and all have been excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and responsive. A great place for music lessons!

Green Brooms is terribly managed, stay clear of this place. The owner lacks a moral compass, she takes your credit card information and charges you for lessons you did not get. Communication is lacking and inconsistent, teacher substitutions are frequent without advance notification. As well, their policies around make-up sessions or cancellations are so rigid that you will definitely lose money with this company. Zero stars

Green Broom is a well-rounded, welcoming, and superb music school. Our family has been attending Green Brooms for 2 years now - having experienced both in-person and zoom classes - and we must say, Green Brooms must be credited for its seamless, intentional, and rapid shift to online teaching in March. The quality and attention to detail has not at all been sacrificed, for which they deserve the greatest kudos.The owner is a gem, with a true passion that exudes not only in the way she teaches but in the way she runs the music academy - which is comprised of top-notch professionals who have immense talents in teaching a range of young children to adult. They tailor their instruction to the interest and abilities of their students, which yields such spectacular growth. We cant recommend Green Brooms enough.

My kids have been going to Green Brooms Music Academy for over six years. Instruction and teachers are truly great with kids. Very professional!

My kids take piano lessons here and they just blew me away at the winter recital. My son is perfecting Beethoven and my daughter is entertaining us with holiday songs! This is such a great place for learning how to play instruments (and to sing). They make learning fun while they help students to strive. The teachers are incredibly talented and knowledgeable and they are always accommodating and encouraging.

As a parent of 2 daughters on the westside, my girls have attended a wide variety of classes and camps in the area. Green Brooms has, by far, turned out to be (and continues to be) the top overall experience. I rarely write reviews and wanted to do this because its a special place. My daughter, who is 10 has been taking piano lessons at Green Brooms for 3 years. My daughters instructor, Laura, whom she absolutely loves, is an excellent teacher who knows how to make it fun. We have participated in 4 recitals and thoroughly enjoyed the moving and memorable experiences. We are proud to be a part of the Green Brooms community!

My kids love Green Brooms! Both my kids are learning so much and I think one of the reasons is because their teachers really connect with them. One of my children is stand off-ish to new adults. Her voice teacher Chelsea seemed genuinely interested and eager to find common ground where they could start a foundation. My daughter really loves her and I cant say how great that is!! My other daughter love everybody and everything. She needed focus. Her teacher Ryan seems to enjoy that spirit and gets her to hone in and focus it on her guitar while have so much fun. Not an easy task. Our experience has been amazing. Even the owner and staff are great people that are pleasant to deal with!!

Green Brooms is an absolutely fantastic school and I feel so lucky to have found it over a year ago now. The entire atmosphere is warm, friendly, and inviting. Everyone Ive met there, from the teachers, the directors, the office managers, to the students themselves have been so warm and friendly, it makes me want to be there more.Im extremely impressed with the quality of teachers they have, all of whom are highly trained and skilled. I started taking voice lessons with Rebecca over a year ago and Ive progressed to a level I never thought possible. Shes an amazing teacher and a lovely person. Im so happy with how I sound now and cant wait to see how much more I can learn and progress. I never thought I could sound this good. I look forward to my lessons every week. Its added another dimension to my life and its been such an enriching experience.In fact, I love it there so much, I decided to start taking guitar lessons with Rob in September and Im having a total blast! Hes an amazing guitarist and teacher and makes every lesson so much fun. I cant believe how much better Ive gotten in such a short period of time.I really cant say enough how much I enjoy Green Brooms. Ive been taking guitar lessons with Rob Garland at GBMA since March (13) and have found the entire experience to be wonderful. From their facilities to Robs teaching style, I cant believe that theres a better way to invest in music training whether youre a kid being forced by your parents to learn an instrument to an adult (like myself) that just always wanted to learn guitar. I highly recommend them.

My 9-year old son learned to play the piano here for the last few months and I couldnt be happier. The teachers are very professional and knowledgeable, and the staffs are very kind. I recommend Green Brooms to anyone around Santa Monica whos interested in learning music .

I cant say enough good about Green Brooms and the prolific and sincere talent that built and runs it.I started taking classes only this past December, and have developed an understanding and talent in the art of song beyond my expectations thanks in part to Rebecca - a most personable and accomplished instructor - and Manuel and Gyllian, who have made their dream a reality, and continue to do so with the utmost integrity in musical development and care for their students and staff.Ive been intimidated by the prospect of entering the world of music for years -- and now, a mere 7 months later, I consider myself a confident and competent singer.Making the decision to learn music has changed my life, which sounds like a daunting task - but making the decision to do so at Green Brooms took care of that.I had my first recital last night, and I couldnt have been happier with the series of events.The overwhelming positive feedback from my friends and family, and various staff and students at Green Brooms Music Academy, was both intensely humbling and inspiring.I can now finally give myself credit where I suppose its due, and recognize my efforts as not only successful, but also appreciated in the world of art that is song.I now plan on making music a much more integral part of my life, and sharing as much of it as I can with my friends and family.There are no word to express what it feels to have overcome the intimidation and self-doubt that held me back from these pursuits all these years.
