There has never been a time during a preflight inspection where something that didn’t look right wasn’t addressed immediately, and usually, preemptively dealt with. Had a fantastic experience with Robert G, one of the instructors as he took my son and I up for a discovery flight. He was super-professional throughout and gave me plenty of “yoke time” from takeoff roll through to landing. A total blast. This is a very professional organization both Robert and Marty know their profession. I did my commercial with Robert and it was the first time I had a instructor who knew and taught everything the right way and made it very entertaining. I did a flight or two with Marty as well and he too was very professional and knowledgeable yet very fun to fly with. I personally cannot say enough about this flight school would recommend them to anyone!

Im working on my commercial pilot certificate and cant say enough great things about Black Hound Aviation. The flight instruction is first rate and focused on not only on helping you earn your next rating (or IPC/Flight Review) but more importantly ensuring you are given the skills you need to be a safe and competent aviator. The two Skyhawks in their fleet are extremely well-maintained and the Redbird TD-2 simulator/FTD is a cost-effective way to legally maintain your instrument currency. If you want the very best in flight instruction, this is the place you want to be!

These guys are great. Airplanes are the nicest you’ll find on the central Texas training market and the Lance is a useful tool to have access to if you do any real travel but don’t have your own airplane in the hangar.
